I just wish I could meet this man. Looks like He is the only one speaking truth about what I want to venture into
His comments on US rates is interesting. Inflation is up and they are still printing money. Wait until they raise interest rate which they have no choice but to raise. Seems like you forgot something like 2008. Bottom line A house is not a good investment unless it produces income whether you paid cash or borrowed. Even with good interest rate what about taxes? Paying in full won't cut you a deal on that. What about Maintenance? Upgrades which is a must to reflect value in the west. Great interview. Great guy!

I was looking to buy an apartment early this year, and my major problem was with the documentation ownership structure and the fact i have to be paying a recurring service charge that's practically the cost of my yearly rent in Ago palace way... It just didnt make any sense to me.... I just told my wife let's keep renting for now pending when i build a financial portfolio to just own rental properties in good locations and then we can move to a state or country for our retirement....

UNCERTAINTY is the biggest issue in real estate and a lot of other things in Nigeria. The uncertainty level is higher than the stock market. Hence, it is not easy to find a person that WALK THE WALK. Most people just TALK THE TALK. Be careful in any investment you are involved in Nigeria.

You have spoke well except on the fact that one should not buy house because that person becomes a liability to the house. we do need home and freedom for our family, so it is fine to own a house especially if you are married and have family.
