Mine are a few thousandths on the tight side, so I almost wreck at least one of my exhaust gaskets every time. The last time, I froze the gaskets overnight and I still struggled to squeeze 'em in there! Gotta hate tolerance stacking when it plays out the wrong way!....

Sure thing buddy, that I can promise you! We don't have any tunnels round here but there are some multi storey car parks and they can be glorious fun because not only do you get the wonderful concert hall acoustics, but the car alarms join in to cheer you along!

The shotgun exhaust looks great Del. Anything else would have just been wrong on that Sporty in my opinion. Like you said with custom parts there always seems to be 2 (or more) parts wanting to occupy the same space. 😁 Always find myself squinting when snap rings are involved. Always wear eye protection for those circlips with no holes. No other protection at all tho. I’ve found that when they ping off at high velocity if they imbed in parts of my fleshy anatomy it saves me hours on hands and knee’s constantly swearing looking for them, only to give up when I realise they’ve been teleported to another dimension. Only to reappear 6 months later!
ha ha you too then buddy! I've even taken the trouble of watching videos back and re-playing the moment of 'fateful ping' to watch the departing circlip and see where it landed, or at least what direction it went in!

Would love a set of these on my Sportster .... but .... I need to be able to get it through an MOT as it's my daily transport. Look to be straight through! If they didn't have a little 'kick out' at the end, I could slap some silencers over for the annual ticket.

Ah, a fine pair of straight-through granny-dancers, beloved by bored zebras & their crossings everywhere - half of Dorset forced to adjust the sensitivity of their car alarms - chaos reigns. Clever use of a monocoque technique for the annular baffling system, not only does all the naughtiness go straight out the back with little in the way of lateral interference or leakage, you also get the chance to use 'que' twice, & consecutively, in one long, rambling sentence. Those pipes will save electricity, absolutely no need for the horn. Have a quiet w/e! : )xx
Bonus points for not having to chase at least one of those two circlips across your shop. 👍

Dunno if you’ve got a set mate…but…’flag tip’ circlip pliers come in very handy for these types of circlips.

Hi Del. It looked like the old OEM pipes included a ‘balance’ pipe. Isn’t it going to reduce your torque performance by not having one?
Earlier in the project, not sure if you've been following it, I re-jetted the carb with a Thunderslide kit, so it'll run just fine!

My possibly over engineering brain says that you may want to add in a heat shield between them too.
