Her testimony is soooo different from Johnny’s. Johnny described events as they were with no flourish and became obviously emotional at times. Johnny didn’t make it a point to stare at the jury, instead he was very direct with the lawyers. Whereas Amber seemed jovial, smiled throughout, and was clearly trying to gain sympathy from the jury by looking directly at them. She tried to make herself emotional but never mustered a tear.

I think that AH may have severe PTSD and lingering physical trauma from the abuse? She seems a bit off in her memory and recall in the recordings, and she complains about headaches. What if she did take a slap or other abusive assaults from JD? It wouldn't take a full force hit for a man to seriously injure a woman. Don't think I am downgrading testifiable truth of other domestic abuse cases, your mother was more of a hero than my own, but this could be the Actor JD playing a role of calm and compliant with a little bit of snide to defend himself against a woman, AH, he did infact batter while they were together. How often would your step-dad admit to abusing your mother or any other criminal abuser? I cannot imagine any of them would ever come clean on national television or in a court room unless caught red-handed. We're dealing with two actors and no real evident truths of defense or prosecution.

I was in an abusive marriage with an extreme narcissistic person and when we had to go through court things I never looked at him either. Number one…it’s hard to look at someone who’s been abusive to you and number two…narcissists crave that you look at them….and when you live with someone like that you start to learn how they crave that attention so you avoid giving them that attention.

They’re trying to paint this scenario as though she was a small town girl, who Johnny love bombed with expensive gifts and so on, (like narcissists and abusers do) in order to get her into a relationship and then once he had gotten his way, his behaviour towards her changed as his jealousy manifested and became more apparent and controlling. Except they are painting the picture of him literally doing everything she, herself did, changing herself to match his tastes, appealing to all of his hobbies, love bombing and conning him into thinking she was genuinely that person he fell in love with, and not a manipulative narcissist.
The difference is Johnny Depp has always been that person, with those interests, himself, while she faked all of that and is hollow at her core. It is extremely insidious.

Look at all of the tells Amber shows after (I believe the judge) asks her that question.
    -Erratically looking around the room.
-Squishing her lips to her side.
-The rapid body movements (flipping her hair, rolling her hand, swaying her body).
-Both the very good memory when it comes to "Johnny's abuse" but also the poor memory of everything outside of that.
-The total lack of evidence for everything she said.
Notice how JD's lawyers rarely objected throughout this hearing? I get the feeling they were okay with letting Amber run her mouth because they realized she was screwing herself over and wanted to destroy her with her own faulty testimony. Once JD's lawyers get to cross-examine her, it's going to be a very satisfying checkmate.

It's amazing out of all the pictures she took and audio she recorded, not a single one proves any of the IPV incidents she purports to have occurred. My favorite picture might be the hair on the floor, which was OBVIOUSLY cut from her hair with scissors. Almost every single account from both men and women paint JD as shy, soft spoken and kind. The audio recordings and video of him smashing the cabinets prove he would rather avoid confrontation and take his aggressions out on inanimate objects than physically assault another person; especially a woman. All the "violent" text messages to his friends were, to me, quite obviously part of his dark humor that were meant for his intended audience, not the courtroom or the general public. He probably regrets the texts, but he was quite obviously going through a lot of exhausting emotional shit caused by AH.

@@stephenheffren4324 well, it ultimately depends. If a person is just telling a story for the fun of it, then the intricate details are fine. But in a case like Amber where she’s telling what is supposed to be a serious story, I feel like someone who was telling the truth would get straight to the important details and leave out stuff like their dog stepping on a bee.
I suppose the simpler version would be that if it’s not recreational story telling, then someone filling it with unimportant/unrelated details is usually a good sign of lying.
I tend to be bad at saying stuff in a way that correctly portrays my meaning in TH-cam comments, so I’m not sure if that gets across my meaning or not.

The fact that this case deals with abuse, as well as defamation, makes it very interesting to me. While the lawsuit is not one of domestic abuse and neither party can be found guilty of domestic abuse in the court of law or apply legal punishments therein (that'd need to be another trial), the fact that the abuse left evidence and witnesses makes Johnny's case a lot stronger.
Normally Defamation is little more than He-said/She-said arguments and meticulous combing of financial documents, and while there is a good deal of that here, the severity of the abuse being described lends a great deal of gravity to the case. It's no longer "Did Johnny Depp lose money because of what Amber Heard said", it's now "Which of these parties is the perpetrator of abuse, and would therefore have cause to lie and defame the other."
As well as this, the sheer amount of money being discussed lends gravity to the case as well.

  • @AdiKor007

The most fascinating fact to me (besides the contents of course) is watching who Amber and her witnesses talk to and what that tells us as opposed to Johnny and _his_ witnesses. Amber and that psychologist she brought in are talking directly to the Jury in order to appeal to them and try to seem as sympathetic as possible by acting vulnerably. On the other hand, Johnny and the people he brought to the stand talk to the attorneys asking the questions proving a more truthful side. When Johnny got emotional he looked inwards as showing weakness is usually something you don't really look forward to in public, especially as a man - he wasn't trying to get empathy points, those were his genuine feelings. Amber put on theatrics instead.
It's basically a game of politics: when an interviewer asks you a question, normally you would look at them as that is the polite thing to do. However, if you are trying to prove a point to a crowd you start directing your answers at them (sometimes even making the interviewer seem like a bad guy for even asking). It's all an act and I sincerely hope the Jurors will see through it.

The most I could allow, was that him doing the sensible thing and removing himself from the violence probably felt like abuse from her perspective. And I'm sure he yelled at her and called her names sometimes, because how could he not? In no way did this justify that op-ed.

At times she was smiling and it was like she was enraptured by their presentation. She seemed to either take delight in the fact that all the fuss was about her OR almost be like an aristocrat entertained in a "you think you can beat me?" type attitude. Her facial reactions and posture did not fit imo.

As a victim of abusive relationship for 7 years, emotionell, physical, economical, stalked, hunted and broken down, it took me almost TWO years for my brain after i got out what ive been thru to understand what happend and that relisation broke me down into extreme bursts of tears and unable to eat for a week. i had a bad case of identity crisis. Who i was, who i am, who i want to be, how to dress, how to behave, how to feel, what i like, hobbies. Ive lost family, friends and my self.
Its been 4 years. And it stil haunts me. And i can tell you, even if i can make dark jokes about it, i stil tear up. If i hear certain songs with certain lyrics, i have to turn it off or i will burst to tears. If i open up to talk about it, i can barley get into a sentence without feeling sad and get emotionell, robbed, sufficated.
I was 17 years old when i got into DM relationship.

As someone that was abused for 5 years, lashing out at a wall or inanimate object is common. I don’t condone it but when you know you aren’t the abuser or the type to harm the other person you will still risk your hand against a wall or a mirror, of which I did both. It’s explosive, it’s not stable, it’s not safe, but it was never aimed at my abuser. When I went to the hospital for a suspected broken hand I went to A&E the nurse asked how i did it and I was honest. She said at least it was a wall and not a person but I could tell what she meant. I felt ashamed, me, the person being abused. It’s a lose lose situation if you can’t escape.

Meh, I agree to a degree. I can tell a story about my abusive ex and I that didn't involve the abuse and laugh about it. Mainly being a story about one of our friends having a mushroom trip. While I guess it's not a story of just him and I, I can still laugh about that night that his friend got so messed up and the events that happened that night because it was so messed up in a funny way.
There was good moments with him and I but I can't really remember them or much of the relationship anymore aside from some instances of abuse, more so the ones that were most violent like being pushed down the stairs and him dragging me to the front door by my hair but much of his manipulation I can't remember much, there's so much I can't remember. I can remember the house we lived in at the time of each instance I remember but not what time of year it was etc. Even then I don't remember much, it's probably for the best. I don't want to remember the details.
Anyway, but yeah there are times in the relationship in memories that involved him and others I can laugh about and smile about... Just not the memories with him exclusively, I guess. I don't smile about the events which led to our relationship but rather feel disgusted and angry because I realize it was all bullshit.

    • @hauntedshadowslegacy2826
      @hauntedshadowslegacy2826 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

@@picklethepepper Yeah, some survivors are able to laugh or smile at a few memories, but that still doesn't excuse the other atrocities of her testimony. A number of real survivors had to stop listening to her testimony partway through because what she was saying was just so re-traumatizing. Her inability to cry is another big problem. Add to that her blatant posing (yes, she intentionally posed) for the photographer while she was on the stand, and it's just... Ugh... And then there's the physics-defying stuff and her describing things that definitely would've killed her if it really happened. The way she's expositing all this horrific garbage reminds me of the shitty fanfics I wrote when I was twelve.

Her whole testimony here sounded convincing (taken on it's own, of course), yet it also seemed a little... off, somehow.
I wasn't sure why at first, but then I realized- it reminded me of something I've heard countless times before:
    Narration.
She wasn't simply telling her story as she remembered it.
She was *reciting* her story, like an author narrating a new book they've written.
A tragic tale- first life, love, and romance,
    then crisis, heartbreak, and suffering,
every detail polished to a sheen for the benefit of the audience,
and everything arranged neatly in it's due order.
In the words of Sherlock Holmes, (or Arthur Conan Doyle),
"It was a masterpiece of villainy, and [she] carried it out like a master."
    But on the other hand... I was able to figure it out, and I'm just a moron who happens to love audiobooks. ;}
If the judge and jury have any sense at all, I hope they'll see right through her testimony.

For those who are wondering why she keeps asking these type of questions, the lawyers have to establish the witness as a person and they need background for that. Details and stories. This actually works for both sides. Knowing these details can be used for her and or against Her. That is why they are not doing so many objections. The more she talks, the more she gives ammunition to Johnny side

I feel like when she's asked about her interactions with Johnny Depp, she almost romanticizes it. Saying that they bonded over weird books and music and then smiling about it. And then talking about the kiss the way she did. If she was abused by Depp, I feel like she is way too relaxed and happy about recalling things like that. There's no signs of anxiety or anything. I feel like every good memory they have together should be tainted for her and that would show through her speech. Her cadence is too fast and upbeat when talking about their relationship to feel genuine.

When I talk about the sociopath that did so many terrible things to me I never say cute things about better times that occurred in the first 3 months when he was slowly taking control of every aspect of my life. I have only bad memories that go through me... even now, 35 years later.
Edit... I just read that she said he ripped off her clothes and stuck his fingers looking in her vagina for pills or coke, then grabbed an alcohol bottle and raped her. Does she expect to be believed that after that she wouldn't get out of there, go to the hospital and make a police report to press charges. Think of the money she could have made suing him... if true. What a vile, diabolical, evil, heartless women who sold her soul for 30 pieces of silver

Her kiss description is especially interesting to me! A scene like that is choreographed and described in the stage actions of a script. The Rum Diary stage action says, “Hands all over each other, hands spread over her back and breasts as her lips are all over his mouth.” There should’ve been nothing surprising to her since the scene is very detailed. She shouldn’t be demonizing him for adding tongue and holding her face🙄

I hate playing devil's advocate for her because I don't really believe her after those audio tapes. But, I'll say, it's possible she's mental enough to look "off" recounting these things and still isn't lying. Just saying some of the odd things we're perceiving could be from mental illness, but that doesn't mean she wasn't also abused. Honestly I'm pretty conflicted on the whole thing. Feels like both sides are not being fully accurate.

One of my best friends is an SA survivor, and she found it odd how Amber Turd was able to LOOK STRAIGHT into the jury as she took them through the most horrific abuse she supposedly experienced, and even describing them so slowly. Turd is just downright despicable, what she has done to REAL SA Survivors. Real life Gone Girl, but with really bad acting, how quickly she switches between emotions is just insane. Like even GTA RPers have better acting skills, and they don't even have an acting coach like she does. Smh.
Oh yeah and don't get me started on how she skipped off the stand when trial ended for the day, and smiled with all her legal team members like she just finished a presentation.

I think it’s odd she all of a sudden choose to wear her hair down so that,
The side closest to the judge can’t see her face very clearly but the the, jury can see it clearly from their

The way she acting does not portray an abuse survivor. She is lying. I think she just buried herself with this fake testimony. I hope the jury does not get gaslighted by her. I hope they can see through the mask she has on. Johnny was courageous enough to take her mask off and reveal her true narcissistic self. Bravo Johnny. Stay strong and speak your truth. 💕😘
