I just don't understand how a multi billion dollar company didn't think "what if someone unplugs the car who ISNT the owner" when designing their vehicles.
Its probably because they have no diversity of thought, instead focusing on diversity of demographics or getting the cheapest labor possible. You see it a lot in tech companies that they outsource from only one or two places overseas, or only hire from select groups that think like their company culture. Really they should've expected it because putting stuff in people's gas tanks to f- with them has been a thing for so long, it was in an official Sabotage Manual issued by the US government for WWII. Why wouldn't someone mess with electric cars?
They DID think of that- on their Tesla stations. They can't be responsible for not thinking a competitor's station wouldn't have it's own protective measures, let alone that they'd purposely use a different connector on their cars meaning the Tesla lock wouldn't work.
They can only control how their pumps are designed, but not everyone uses the same plug style. When an adaptor is needed the adapter triggers the lock in the car’s charge port instead of the pump, so sadly the pump can be freely removed.
They did. You can not unplug a TESLA charger from a TESLA car, either at a supercharger or a slower "destination" (like a hotel so it can be slow) charger. Charge point is for other EVs, and needs a Tesla adaptor. The adaptor, as he shows in the video, can not be unplugged.
Realistically he's not wrong though. The vast majority of the time insecurity is the only reason anyone would ever fuck with someone else's car, no matter what it is.

About once a week we found out a Karen was unplugging my electric car. I worked really hard to get this plug installed And the company wanted to support electric cars. This woman went to our boss and demanded that they give her cash for gas for her car cause it wasn't fair that I was getting free electricity to get to work and she wasn't getting free gas. The boss said they were not gonna give her gas money for her car that they're doing this because there's a company policy that they are going to support electric cars for the environment. So she just decided to start unplugging my car for her own satisfaction sense of fairness.
She got written up from malicious tampering of other employees personal property.
1. Do you think batteries are made in an environmentally friendly manner?
2. How is most electricity generated?
3. After two quick google searches, do you still think it's fair?
Her pollution is eaten by plants.

The problem is how can you remove the plug if it still stuck
When you unlock the car it unlocks the plug adapter.

Same with washing machine doors, they have a hook that shuts the door unless the cycle is paused of the washer is off.

My international student friends said the same. The West must have been too protective of its citizens, that the citizens don't have the compassion they used to have for others.
Within communist/developing countries, there's too much government corruption, so they know how to take care of each other. Even if there is general more petty crime, it is because they are actually unable to escape their poor circumstances (unable to get a middle-life style, even if they worked an entire month without sleeping)
I love you😂😂😂
@@AntTonyLOLKID No the problem with the west is that it allowed people from poor countries to "flee" here from their countries simple because they were poor in those countries. I'm guessing they weren't expecting people to act like asses and mess with someone's ride 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏼♂️?

@mr.mortisman7942 thank you for identifying exactly why the video he’s made is clickbait
Realistically he's not wrong though. The vast majority of the time insecurity is the only reason anyone would ever fuck with someone else's car, no matter what it is.
