This was posted 7 years ago, and it’s now 2022. I just received this, and I’m hoping it will work. But your video is wonderful! It’s shown me exactly where to place everything. Thank you.
I recently bought a couple of them (Oct, 2024), and they seem to provide quite a bit of pain relief. Let's just say that the amount of relief is quite noticeable. So far so good.
Tried this yesterday for the first time for sciatica and had relief within 45 minutes. I tried my mother in-laws and ordered one for myself today. Love it! Thanks for the review and video about correct placement.
I have been using this for years because of sciatica and knee pain. I actually have 2 of them and have bought them for relatives. It definitely works and has made life so much better for me and most that use it. I’m a no drug person so this is exactly what I needed.!😋🙏👍
Thank you for this video. My friend told me to use this (I have piriformis syndrome). This friend said that they actually gave one of these to my brother so I was able to get this “device” from my brother but I just needed to be sure I was using it correctly. Your video provided the info I was after. Again. Thank you.
I'd like to thank Donna for the clearest instructions I've found on the placement of this product. I use this product successfully, but I have always felt like I was guessing about the positioning of the product on my leg.
I had major back surgery L3 L4 in 1989. I've suffered on and off ever since until a week ago 19th Nov 2023 when I received 2 BeActive+ braces. Nothing but great reviews. My sleep pattern. My pain. My general well-being have improved beyond my expectations. Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
OK, been wearing this the whole day on my left leg. I wore it till 9 pm Sunday and then put it on after my shower Monday at 6:45 am (God that is too early) I DID feel some small shooting pain up and down the leg at 9 am. A slight adjustment quelled that. Thing I REALLY noticed is after sitting a long while, I'd get up with a bit of stiffness in lower back. GONE. I get up and there's not one whit of pain. That alone helps me so much. I'll post more in about 2-3 weeks. Will be wearing it while working.
I just received this and was very sore the first day but I think it was they way you move in pain the second day i can get out of chair walk and move almost pain free. see what 3rd day brings tomorrow.
Excellent directives,I've had a spinal fusion done January 2014 on the lower back and I'm planning on getting on I've been in terrible pain ever since..THANK YOU SO MUCH, GOD BLESS!!
the one thing that I think is bad about this product is how it says one size FITS ALL when in fact one size does not fit all!! some of us people have bigger calve muscles because we walk a lot. who ever created this was not thinking because the Velcro strap is way to short.
I have a big calf too...and I received it yesterday...I thought it was a knockoff anyway..I just sowed the strap in place and slpped it on..the strap is like 5-6 inches to short for me...🙄 let's see if It works.
Got it yesterday dealing with 5 herniated discs and sciatica pain week 6 $2k out of pocket with no insurance...this seems to be working alongside the nerve block injection...off the meds and on the road to recovery... I wear the brace over my leggings but notice a red circle ⭕ on my leg where the pressure point secures.. only use 2-3 hours... anyone else?
I just bought this brace, but it looks different, instructions and pictures are different and pretty confusing. I read instructions about 20 times trying to figure this, and still am not sure.
I have to say last time my disk flared up this strap with a spine support belt really helped heal me........Now 4 years later another flare up, forgot about the be active strap, found it today & since i put it on, i feel alot better, this strap really helps you deal with the Pain alot easier......
I lost weight and have small legs. I have worn the brace as you say, but it doesn't help. So I thought maybe I had the pressure point in the wrong place.
The pain is reduced.. you may also be able to press on the tendon groove to figure out where to place the bump in the brace you want to place it right on the edge of that muscle or tendon..
Be careful if you buy one online that is not the official site. I bought one from eBay and when it was unboxed, there were no left or right markings whatsoever! That made correct placement a total pain, although my physical pain was reduced with use.
I got mine off of wish (for a dollar...plus another dollar for shipping) and also had no right or left marking. I struggled to figure out how to wear it also as there was a box with only the most vague instructions of place on knee and tighten strap to cause mild pressure. BUT WHERE AND WHICH WAY?! Basically I came to realize that you want the round magnet thingy on the outside of your leg, just under the knee. If you put it on and it's not where it's supposed to be, take it off and put it back on upside down from the way you just had it...now it's the right way. Hopefully that will make sense to the people who, like us were given no clear instructions until we found this video and for the people were reading comments instead of fully paying attention to the video lol.
@@meuxmeux2748i bought the brand name product on Amazon for $25 but it didn't come with any packaging or instructions so I had to guess on how to wear it.
@@Jean78578 thank you I need a couple of these because I have the Socratic nerve I am going through right now ..and I need a answer so I really am trying it all .. I am going in the morning to get 2 .. lol thank you for the info
Hello, Have a question ... is this a genuine one? Because I read so much negative reviews, that they sell not genuine stuff ... "Cheap Chinese Knock Off... This is not made by Beactive " and ... and ... than other people are very satisfied, so it makes me unsure about the product. Most of the reviews are about the size. So please can you clear it up? And important ... does it help for Ischias? Thanks for an answer!
walmart about $15 well worth it going to get more b4 this product get deleted put it on and it was instant relief alot cheaper than a doctor's visit and worth not constantly takn pain meds strongly recommend this best $15 i have every spent..the instructions suck but u will figure it out
Bought one today at Walgreens...$14.99. I had a difficult time determining if I had the pressure point in the right place. The instructions that came with the product are so poor. They didn't even print full instructions for the right leg. This video helped a lot. The brace feels like it'g going to fall down my leg, even though I have it wrapped quite tightly. As I am writing this, I'm having less pain down my leg. The brace itself is VERY unattractive with the two elastic strips bowing way out on the front of my leg. I can see wearing it UNDER slacks or around the house, but I think the lady on the video was on the right track when she suggested an ace bandage wrapped over any type of hard disc.
Thank you so much for making this video. I just bought this and was having trouble getting this on correctly. Still having some trouble. I'm a 6'4, 250+ pound male so the "R" is well to left of my knee in order for that pad thing to be almost horizontal (I assume) on the edge of the calf muscle. I have 3 herniated discs and real bad sciatica caused by the stresses of many kidney stones. Great video! Very helpful.
CAN anyone please explain me(first I deeply apologize for not knowing English that good to write more formal)if you get at least 10percent pain relief from /beactiveplus compression. I got pain that radiates from like gluteus muscle and right side of the right ankle, which then follows with symptoms "my muscles feel stiff/calf and inside of ankle,I mean back of it which connects to lower muscles and upper as well where are tendons, Semimembranosus and Semitendinosus inside and one that runs outside Biceps femoris- quadriceps tendon.,when I stretch it causes pain in that area going down to muscles and even Achilles tendon...I do start therapies soon and chiropractor but it's just hurst me when I stretch or is it normal cause I'm 43? I do have MRI showing sciatica and bruised lower back(snowboarding accident). Please if anyone reads it can you let me know, I would apriciate it a lot..I need something like this when I'm drawing. God bless and stay healthy and happy.
Harris and honest opinion I've tried putting this on for about a week and a half and different positions on my calf and doing stretches on top of it that I find all over TH-cam everything is all instant pain relief there is none this unit so far has not done crap for me I'm not looking for instant relief but s*** if I can get relief after a couple hours and lasts for half a day I would be grateful My personal suggestion if you got the money try it in my opinion don't waste your money
Glad for this video. The instructions with the brace suck. I wonder if they were translated by computer from Chinese??? At one point it mentions, the front side of the calf. Wouldn't that be the shin? Seriously. I would have suggested to make a few changes in design. Like, put the "L" and the "R" letters where the pressure point is, and describe where THAT should be. When I followed the instructions to the letter, and had the letters lined up in front under my knee cap, the pressure point was nowhere near where it was supposed to be, once I tightened it up! Also, once tightened, the fixed elastic dangling loose, not a pretty sight. It does work well, but NOT going in public wearing this!

Yes. It's not a total cure, but it definitely helps.

I would not wear it while sleeping..

Not good for people with CVI (chronic venous insufficiency. Save money and do stretches!
The brace helps you be functional until you have recovered. But to truly recover, yes - do stretches for sciatic nerve pain.
It didn't work . Just another snake oil pitch .
Perhaps your issue is not directly due to sciatic nerve. You may want to look at "Piriformis syndrome" info. That issue can mimic sciatic nerve pain.
I have used this periodically through the years and has always relieved my sciatica.
Thank you
Welcome!
