It wouldn't be him most likely, alvis would've had a human form if that were the case. Listen I've only played xenoblade 2 so don't hate on me if I'm wrong.
My theory for Alvis going to Bionis is that with his extreme power of Foresight, he saw that Alrest had no need of him. So instead of judging the race of humans that Klaus created, he thought to judge Zanza instead.
And to think, this all could've been avoided if somebody thought "Hey, she sounds responsible! Let's help get the person with a god complex away from the dangerous technology."
What why would you think that? It's not like he's going to create a New universe and become a power crazy God bent on destruction and recreat- OH WAIT!
lolmuffins1 He kinda did SPOILERS (XC2) He basically spent the entire game of XC2 as the architect, regretting what he did to the world. He even wished for Galea’s (Meyneth) forgiveness.
The events of XC2 are different to XC1. In XC1, Klaus did have a god complex, and he acted out of pure curiosity. XC2 tells a completely different story that does not line up with XC1. The OP's comment was made before XC2, so his point still holds up either way
He was just smart. Very smart. Vastly smarter than propably any other person to date. Try talking to other people when they can't understand anything that you say, anything you even think. It's quite difficult. As well as highly annoying.
HiTechnic 3 years late but uh...I, an aspie, would personally not be interested in godhood. That means being a leader of sorts, which I find terrifying. I look at history, and many prominent savants are now thought to have possibly been on the spectrum. Did they ever lead? No. They holed up and honed their respective crafts.
The real reason might shock you. Huge spoiler for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but... Zanza is supposed to be tied as a piece of another character called "the Architect" in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the incident in question that resulted in him creating another new world had sent many people and objects flinging out over countless places and dimensions. Half of his body was torn apart in the process by the incident, leaving behind a large distortion that seems to give him immortality, but shackles him to a degree to his other half. The epicenter of the distortion in particular is at the left shoulder of the Architect. So, I think they didn't want to include the area if they wanted to maintain the lore of their story, especially since you can even hear Shulk's dramatic talk echo from the distortion near the end of the game, as the heroes try to race against time to defeat the final boss before the Architect fades from existence. His power and the connection he has to the conduit disappearing from their dimension entirely.
I'm pretty sure they got Klaus and Zanza from Santa Claus, think about it, Zanza Klaus. Brings all the good children lemons and turns all the bad children into telethia
Shmen probably to make Klaus more sympathetic. Its clear in XC1, Klaus did it because he has a god complex and was a selfish asshole, but in XC2 hes doing it to give humanity a second chance.
Neostar617 i think it was to end the war that was going on cos from what i saw it looked like skells from xcx meaning that they tied it to xcx’s prologue and im guessing the earth ‘being destroyed’ was actually zanza recreating the world and who knows maybe planet mira’s mystery was one of zanza’s doing
Shmen but, plot twist, what if that facility was over Mira and not Earth? That would explain Nopon and ether existing in both XC1 and XC2 simultaneously, since Mira is known to have plentiful ether deposits. And if it’s Earth, how did Nopon get there? It would just make tons of sense if that planet was Mira and not Earth. But that’d be a major retcon. One I’d love to see, but it’d be huge.
6:02 XENOBLADE 2 SPOILERS: ... ... ... ... ... Y'know why Alvis is trying to hurry Shulk along? *BECAUSE THE CONDUIT IS DISAPEARING AND ALVIS WILL LOSE HIS POWERS*
@@slobertooth1358 huh? The conduit is THE thing for this series. It’s how XC1’s world was made, why XC2’s world was ruined, where the monados/aegises draw their power from, all of it. It’s defiantly not a reference, it’s one of the biggest things for the plot lol
@@DavidHosey1 I mean't the title, appearance, and role in the Xenoblade series. I never said it had no role in the story, just that it's not the Zohar.
if you pay attention at the start you see zanza, meyneth, Dickson Loritiha ( the other 2 people you see when meyneth is running 1 is a boy the other a girl) and Alvis is the computer they are using
I always wondered about the little time remaining Alvis mentioned, or having to shut down after fufilling Shulk's wish. But Xenoblade 2 made it clear now. SPOILER Alert Whether Alvis is Ontos or not, the power of his was from the Conduit, so killing Zanza leads to Klaus' death, which meant the disappearance of the Conduit. Just like how Pnuema was told by Klaus that her power was going to disappear with the Conduit, so too was Alvis' power, which is why he was desperate for Shulk to make a choice.
JP I think when he said that the world had little time remaining, he was meaning that both the bionis and mechonis were falling apart so shulk had to decide quickly. Though I never thought of the possible connection between alvos and the conduit.
there is a two possibilities one is that the disappearance of the conduit was tied to klaus death which honestly i do not believe(as i honestly believe the things binding the conduit to reality was the monados ) and the other is tied to shulk wish that there should be no gods necessitating the removal of the conduit from reality so that no being can become a god.
@@Coolbond2 both possibilities are interesting, tho I just wanted to mention that it wasn’t here due to the monados. The closest thing to that that’s plausible is that it was tied directly to Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma, making all of them being dead/removed from the overall equation close to the ends of their respective games be a possible reason the conduit moved on from these worlds and on to another
@@DavidHosey1 But Alvis did not die, and Pneuma sacrificed herself after the Conduit disappeared. I believe the Conduit disappeared due to Zanza dying. Why? Well, mostly because that was the part of Klaus that thought himself to better and ultimately made the event that created both Xenoblade universes. The Conduit probably just moved elsewhere due to the being anchoring its power died.
@@danielmunoz1275 Alvis moved on to a different place, and supposedly not this world anymore. Pneuma’s fate was already decided and in motion when the conduit started to leave. Zanza and Klaus had very little to do with it actively being there, as it was there longgg before he stated running experiments on it (plus Zanza isn’t the part of Klaus that decided to use it, they are literally both the same person just in different situations. This isn’t a personality being split, just a person practically being copied). I agree that it likely moved on after its anchoring forces were gone, however those would be the Aegis’s
Yeah, that Chapter 10 intro completely changed my perception of the original game's ending in a way I could never have imagined. That's some truly great storytelling.
Mono Tono Pyra/Mythra were never shown to be able to recreate the universe itself like Alvis does at the end of the first game. If an Aegis was able to do that, Malos could have destroyed the world as soon as he would have regained his powers. That's just weird to me that Alvis is shown to be so powerful compared to Pyra/Malos.
Mono Tono I never said he wasn't, I just said that Alvis seemed to be overpowered compared to the other two. Anyway, the fact that Malos has a Monado should be enough proof that Alvis is Ontos.
Alvis is likely OP because he was the entity which made the new universe and formed it in the image of Klaus' mind when Klaus pressed the button. this would mean that Alvis was the first thought within the universe which defined its rules and its mechanisms. we have already established the Klaus is not quite a literal god as much as a godlike entity. I would simply like to posit that Alvis', or Ontos', nigh-omnipotence can be stemmed from the fact the rules of the world were made by him.
I think the music choice here was amazing. Once We Part Ways is my favorite song ever, even outside of video games. The song has so much meaning behind it, as it played twice in the whole game. The first time was when shulk and reyn leave colony 9 to begin their journey, and it plays here at the very end of the game, finishing off the journey that started it all. It's the beginning and end, and that makes the song all the more beautiful. I remember my first playthrough hearing this song, I thought of this very idea and began to cry, because I knew that this incredible journey was finally over. The song still makes me tear up to this day, because deep down I know I'll never be able to have the same amazing blind experience of Xenoblade ever again.
Imagine if somehow, the ending of Xenoblade X led to this scene as its final scene. "It was simple curiosity. The curiosity of a single man that destroyed the universe" And then the credits roll.
Oh, I thought XC-X took place on the new world Shulk and Alvis create, but then the new world gets invaded so they go to Mira. but your theory makes sense too
This is the scene where the universe split into 2 different universes, one being xenoblade 1 world and the other being alrest, these games are both happening at the same time
Fuhki Shoga the plot of Xenoblade 1 was fairly straightforward and Xenoblade 2 just scrambled it to hell. while these games are amazing I almost hope they don’t make a Xenoblade 3 just to fuck with the plot more and this is coming from a lifelong KH and Metal Gear fan. japan please let me like an rpg without making it take way too much thinking to comprehend
@Spookibrae It’s more of a nurture rather than nature kind of thing. One half of Klaus ended up with the perfect world (Bionis and Mechonis). As a result of this, he remained conceited and arrogant, with the delusions of godhood. The other ended up with the ruins of the world destroyed by the conduit. This half of Klaus had to learn humility and shame as a result of this. To atone for his sins, he created a new world called Alrest. Had the two halves switched places, logically nothing would have changed.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you learn about how there were initially 3 Aegis, one of which, Ontos, disappeared in a transdimentional accident. Going back to Xenoblade 1 heavily implies that Alvis himself was that Aegis
I feel bad for anyone who just finished the first game, watching this cutscene again, but hasn't played the second, going through the comments section.
@@Tyeタイ He is a part of Trinity processer, so he is computer actually. But Malos and Pyra actually didn't know the shit, only Alvis, the administrative computer of phase "transition experiment facility" know because he can make space"transition". maybe?
A glimpse of this scene (at most one second long) is first shown at the end of Spirit Crucible Elpys. I naturally recognised it right away. The actual scene at the beginning of the final chapter? Not so much. It took me until the operator said "Professor Klaus" to realise the connection.
Helsionium I know. Seeing the earth get split like that...It's what made me recognise just who this "Architect" was. Morytha was just icing on that speculative cake.
Yeah, I think so. Ontos disappeared from XC2's world, just like Galea/Meyneth, so it's rather safe to assume he ended up in XC1's world as well. Alvis calling himself a "computer" is another hint.
I had the same thought, but I think that explantion is way too simple. Alvis did not mention other worlds in XC (ofc, perhabs they didn't play more XCs games at that moment) and Alvis seems to be in this world since the very start. The third Agis is probably gonna be something completly different. I've high hopes for the next XC game, but first they should finish XCXs story. After XC2 it is clear that even XCX could be connected somehow to those two games, because of the Conduit. Imagine Ontos appears in XCX2 or something.
Cell Eater still, Malos had a Monado, and the Monado from the first game, they are the weapons of the two aegises, with Pnuema being an exception since her’s is a sword, but the ascendent form of the sword has some resemblance, like the round circle at the hilt. Not to mention xc was made way before xc2 so the devs probably didn’t originally plan to use klaus’s story again until they realized it could actually work.
6:20 Alvis: Tell me your decision for the future of this world. Shulk: I won't decide. The future should be decided by each and every person in the world. And so, what I, no, what we wish for is.......A world with no gods! Xenoblade Chronicles. Can't tell if it hates religion or not. But jokes aside. This is my favorite quote from this game. It's just so.......amazing. Who else agrees?
It seems to me that the Rhadamanthus Experiment will be Monolithsoft's lynch pin for the rest of the series. I'm curious to see them expand upon it with each passing game until we learn the tales of the entire Xenoblade Chronicles.
PLOT TWIST! alvis says "im the administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility" which i guess is what he says a "machine" or a computer so does that mean that even the world before the bionis and mechonis, the world in which zanza was just a human was a simulation?! alvis cant be from zanza univers because it was wiped out so he must be a computer just running a simulation
***** And we're the ones Alvis is allowing to play the simulation? :o Holy cow poo this game is full of more plot twists and turns than in the actual game itself! What if Alvis was the WII consol?
"The Old God was defeated by the New God that he himself created." -Alvis Basically Old God is Zanza who without realizing created a New God that is Shulk. Shulk has basically become a God. His Godhood is granted to him by Alvis the "True" God of the universe.
Crisis7 alvis is not granting godhood but I guess if you are the driver of the aegis you are most certainly godlike. Perhaps Alvis uses the biblical speak because of Klaus hubris who literally consumed half of him.
I don't know why I had the replica Monado here, this shouldn't even be possible, right? The Monado III gets auto-equipped and there's no opportunity to access the menu afterwards. In New Game+ it won't be auto-equipped even if you have it, but I'm sure I didn't record this scene on a New Game+. The audio desync issue affects all cutscenes I recorded in 2012, because of limitations of the software I used for recording at that time.
*MAJOR SPOILERS FOR XENOBLADE 2* So in Chapter 10 it is shown this scene in Xenoblade 2, and it shows Klaus creating the worlds. In turn, he didn’t just create the world of Bionis and Mechonis, he also created Alrest and was split between the real Klaus who resides in the World Tree in Alrest, and Zanza who lives in the body of the Bionis and guided creation with Meyneth in that world. At the end, Gramps brings everyone into a portal that seems very familiar. Shulk remade the world that would be perfect for all life, and thus Klaus (and therefore Zanza) were erased from the world. In turn, Elysium never actually existed in neither Alrest nor on Bionis. Shulk and Rex (and also Pyra) created Elysium together, just without them knowing. I hope I gave a better view for those who were wondering
He didn't create Alrest, Alrest is just Earth after the damage done by the creation of the other universe, rather than the old universe being erased it was just left behind
Just to elaborate a little more on your point. Klaus tells you in XC2 that his other half is about to expire, that means that he was aware of all that was happening on the other side as well and that both games take place at the same time, just in different universes.
Also Gramps doesn't take them through a portal, he takes them through a rift which doesn't automatically mean portal. Also the world tree is visible in the post game title screen, so I don't think they went to a new world at all. If they did, it would completely go against Klaus' wish to restore the world he destroyed.
Edit it slightly. But it should be mostly the same. It's different in XC2 because Klaus is the one telling the story. It wouldn't make sense for Alvis to start remembering Klaus's version of events. When Alvis recounts the event, he remembers the crazy god complex that eventually defined Zanza. When Klaus himself recounts the events, he remembers his own reasons for resetting the universe, such as his nihilism.
this scene is actually a lot different from 2, in 2 Klaus was facing the Conduit behind the screen while here it's just a window viewing the Planet. It's fine since I don't think Monolith had an idea for a Sequel years ago but that's fine.... they can always correct it for a *HD remake* *Snicker* Snicker*
Also, there's still a higher power in the than both Zanza and The Architect. Remember that The Architect said he did not know why the Conduit appeared before him. What is the Conduit and who sent it? Also, with this new Elma DLC update (and specifically one of Elma's heart-to-hearts), part of me is starting to think that KOS-MOS, Shulk, and Elma being in XC2 isn't mere fanservice. I think they're starting to make the link between the Xeno series a bit clearer.
Uhhh , if Ontos in XBC2 is really Alvis, then it would be like: Ontos :(See something)Oh My...... Logos: What happen? Ontos: There are one world really created by Klaus has in total disorder because the evil side of him control the world! Pneuma: So......what are you going to do? Ontos: I need to remake the world or the world would be totally expire! Logos: Wait, can you go to that universe? Ontos: I will do it soon , so bye! (make a space transition and disappeared)
Spoilers. An expanded scene in Xenoblade 2 shows Galea, Meyneth's true persona, embracing klaus from behind as she pleads with him not to go through with the experiment
04:22 First thing that came to my mind when this scene played? Congratulations! Just the whole being on the ocean with all your friends around reminded me of that (in)famous scene from Evangelion.
maybe the IT From Bit theory, where the Universe is hypothesized to be like a computer, and it can crash. Black Holes are crashes that happened but the computer took care of them. But focusing massive amounts of energy on a single spot overloads and crashes the computer, causing it to restart everything. so maybe Zanza's experiment did that
Why am I imagining a holy scripture version of the genesis the Worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, the first one going like this? The Origin of the Bionis and Mechonis In the beginning, the world was called earth, around lied the Conduit, where Alvis, the Monado, was born. There lived a scientist named Klaus who conducted an experiment for mankind to witness, the birth of universe. “Let’s begin the experiment,” Klaus said. Another scientist, named Galea, intervened, warning him “No, the results have not been confirmed! It’s too dangerous!” “Nonsense! It’s perfectly safe! For we are about to beat witness the birth of a universe!” Klaus persisted, “Once, only a god could perform such a miracle. But today, mankind moves one step closer to the divine!” “Stop, Klaus!” Galea shouted. But Klaus went and started the experiment, destroying the earth, along with everything and everyone on it. The world then blew up. Following the cosmic explosion, Alvis created a new world, where the two world titans, the Bionis and the Mechonis, emerged out of an endless ocean. He then called Klaus Zanza and made him the god and soul of the Bionis. Next he called Galea Meyneth and made her the goddess and soul of the Mechonis. Zanza and Meyneth were alone, so they created life in their own image to be friends with them; Meyneth filled Mechonis with a race of mechanicle beings called the Machina, and Zanza filled Bionis with various races, including the humans called the Homs, the nopon and the head-winged people called the High Entia. The Machina worshipped and loved Meyneth like a mother. One of the Machina, named Egil became friends with Arglas the Giant from the Bionis. Bionis and Mechonis lived in peace. “Egil,” asked Arglas, “what do you see around the Bionis and the Mechonis?” Egil replied “We’re in the middle of an endless ocean.” Arglas then asked “But what lies beyond that?” Egil became puzzled by his philosophy and answered “I don’t know.” Arglas then said “ if there is some land beyond the ocean, then our descendants can migrate there and share it with one another, helping and loving each other like friends and family. Let’s say goodbye to our creators and live in eternal peace.” Egil agreed “Yes, let’s let that peace lasts forever.” Meyneth heard of Arglas and Egil’s and approved it happily. Zanza heard their future talk too, but did not approve of it. He feared that everyone on Bionis will forget him. Zanza, due to his vanity and arrogance, made it his ambition to destroy it the world, both Bionis and Mechonis, and recreate it, wanting to secure his status of a god and denying every being but himself. Thus that ambition made a god of Destruction and Recreation. He did not care for, not even loved, all the people he made on Bionis, nor did he love love everyone on Mechonis. Zanza made all life Bionis, only to serve as his vessels and food. He took form of a powerful sword, called the Monado, concealing his soul within it, waiting for someone to wield it. One day, Arglas curiously pulled the Monado from the ground when Zanza took control of him, making his body Zanza’s vessel. Then, he made Dickson of the Homs and Lorithia of the High Entia his disciples. To prepare, Lorithia corrupted the pure blooded High Entia and turned them into white monsters known as the Telethia. And then, the battle began with Zanza’s first strike on the Mechonis. Zanza’s sword of light, the Monado, struck the Mechonis, allowing the Telethia to attack the Machina from above. In response to that blow, Meyneth, with her Monado, fought back Zanza to protect the Machina. The battle went on and on, costing Mechonis its left arm. Though the battle ended between the titans with Mechonis’s sword striking the Bionis at its right side, much of Meyneth’s life force and many of the Machina perished in the fight. Zanza became tired and wounded from the fight. The High Entia ancestors trapped him and took the Monado away from him. “Zanza,” said the High Entia ancestors said, “because you have violated the peace between the Bionis and the Mechonis, you shall be imprisoned for all time on Prison Island.” Then they built Prison Island, and confined Zanza there. As for the Monado, the High Entia and Alvis sealed it away inside the Ose Tower, with Zanza’s soul inside. On the Mechonis, Meyneth warned the surviving Machina that Zanza will one day be released, then she went to rest until then. Egil, after the battle, became filled with rage and vowed revenge on the Bionis, so he built an army of machines called Mechon to kill everyone on Bionis and make Faced Mechon for the Homs who fight with guts. Meyneth and the rest of the Machina, including his sister Vanea, were all against Egil, warning him that it is against Meyneth’s wish for a peaceful world. Egil ignored them and declared war on the Bionis. Thus the war between the two Titans began.
Good theory. Maybe he did. Maybe Alvis was crucial for the existence of the new universe but he made it so that the universe could stand on its own and evolve naturally towards the future.
No, he didn't, not at least right there. If you look at the cutscene following this, you can see Alvis telling Shulk about the 'new world' (the universe) that is being created. Seeing the universe being created when it zooms in on his eye could mean one of two things in my opinion... Either that is a reflection, and he is telling Shulk this while creating the new universe. Although, you would think that if it were a reflection you would see Shulk in the reflection too, since Alvis is supposed to be talking to Shulk. Or the universe is being created in his head, which makes sense given he is the computer that originally made the universe of Bionis/Mechonis. Wow... so this was always inside his/its head? Oh!@!@! That's why he can speak to Shulk in his dreams! I always learn something new each time I rewatch this.
I chekced and double checked, those two look nothing like Dickson/Lorithia. I think the idea is really only Zanza and Meyneth came from the original universe.
I always did wonder if the spirit of people from the old universe were reincarnated into other beings, and that the people who were on the satellite with Klaus and Meyneth(whatever her real name was) also became other people? Like Dickson and Lorithia? Perhaps Zanza was able to know who was from that time and he picked them for disciples, and he knew that Alvis was there, but not who he was?
One huge mistake the english version did in this cutscene was to spell Zanza's name "Klaus". His name "クラウス" was intended by the devs to be spelt ”Kluhs" which read backwards is...?
Where did you get that from? クラウス is literally the Japanese way of writing "Klaus" (or Claus, Kraus and similar related Germanic names). Also, I don't think the Japanese developers already had the specific romanisation "Shulk" in mind. The names were not romanised prior to localisation, as evidenced by some romanisations that can be found in the game code that are different from the localised names.
It is a rumor said among xenoblade fans, but I should have put "probably" in the comment above, since Takahashi only says he'll "leave it to your imagination", and doesn't answer clearly. Even in the guidebook, "Xenoblade: The complete guide", where there is a question whether Zanza and Shulk look alike and have the same VA's is on purpose or not, he answers that it is just a coincidence, but with ALOT of irony. Guess he wants to keep the truth to himself? My personal guess is that even the rest of the dev team didn't know the origin of the names, hence the difference in game codes? "Shulk" is a weird name to come up randomly, after all. Note that Takahashi likes to do these backwards names shenanigans like in Xenogears for example, Xenogears SPOILERS ahead?? Elehayym backwards is Myyah ele, which means something like "Myyah is here", or "Thou, Myyah". (彼、ミァン).
Spoilers for Xenoblade 2: It's also worth pointing out that Meyneth's true name, Galea, when the syllables are reversed, is "Eagal", which sounds like "Egil."
Alvis is a computer, what if this is all a simulation, happening inside the machines of the labs from Xenoblade X, to simulate a new life, but that's just a theory, a game theory.
MASSIVE XENOBLADE 2 SPOILERS So did Alvis just miss the giant Mecha war outside, the Zohar esque infinite energy generator, almost the entire scene where Klaus conducted the experiment, and the fact that the space station was jutting out the freaking earth?

There's just one thing that's always bugged me about this video... Why did you switch back to the replica Monado, when Monado III is like, the best weapon for Shulk? I also feel like it kinda ruins the scene, when instead of throwing away a god's weapon, he just tosses up this dinky-ass machine.
Shulk: "Alvis, what are you?"
Alvis: "I am a computer for a spaceship."
Shulk: "...What?"
Alvis: "Nevermind that, this is your world now."

Zahnweh Zombie either they were planning this from the very beginning, or they just like continuity and took advantage of a little coincidence
I'm pretty sure they got Klaus and Zanza from Santa Claus,
think about it, Zanza Klaus. Brings all the good children lemons and turns all the bad children into telethia
zanza is a lemon
Santa Claus confirmed to be god of the universe.
Here after xenoblade 2 final chapter
neonblackbeast same, watching this is helping me understand their connection
Shmen probably to make Klaus more sympathetic. Its clear in XC1, Klaus did it because he has a god complex and was a selfish asshole, but in XC2 hes doing it to give humanity a second chance.
Neostar617 i think it was to end the war that was going on cos from what i saw it looked like skells from xcx meaning that they tied it to xcx’s prologue and im guessing the earth ‘being destroyed’ was actually zanza recreating the world and who knows maybe planet mira’s mystery was one of zanza’s doing
Same
Shmen but, plot twist, what if that facility was over Mira and not Earth? That would explain Nopon and ether existing in both XC1 and XC2 simultaneously, since Mira is known to have plentiful ether deposits. And if it’s Earth, how did Nopon get there? It would just make tons of sense if that planet was Mira and not Earth.
But that’d be a major retcon. One I’d love to see, but it’d be huge.

XENOBLADE 2 SPOILERS:

...
Y'know why Alvis is trying to hurry Shulk along?
*BECAUSE THE CONDUIT IS DISAPEARING AND ALVIS WILL LOSE HIS POWERS*
Ganondorf Dragmire ooohhhh, now it makes sense
It's the opposite I think. The Conduit only disappeared because Klaus died, Klaus died because Shulk and Fam killed his other half Zanza.
@Cool Dude I think the Conduit is just a refrence to the Zohar and not the actual thing.
I never said it had no role in the story, just that it's not the Zohar.
they managed to give a literal machine a personality while still keeping his behaviour machine-like
Monolith Soft, everybody
if you pay attention at the start you see zanza, meyneth, Dickson Loritiha ( the other 2 people you see when meyneth is running 1 is a boy the other a girl) and Alvis is the computer they are using
Is that who they were? I searched for this scene simply that I may find out this specific answer. Thank you 🙏🏼
I always wondered about the little time remaining Alvis mentioned, or having to shut down after fufilling Shulk's wish. But Xenoblade 2 made it clear now. SPOILER Alert
Whether Alvis is Ontos or not, the power of his was from the Conduit, so killing Zanza leads to Klaus' death, which meant the disappearance of the Conduit.
It's so weird to see this scene again, after you finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2. xD
Yeah, that Chapter 10 intro completely changed my perception of the original game's ending in a way I could never have imagined. That's some truly great storytelling.
XC2 is one of the only sequels which not only takes from its predecessor, but also gives as much back
It's so interesting watching this after playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Anyone who says you can't learn anything from video games has their own right to believe that, but I beg to disagree.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 spoilers
Zanza is the evil half of Klaus, with the good half being the Architect. The Architect dies when Zanza dies.
And I'm pretty sure Ontos is Alvis
Theaggyyu I think that's what they were going for but he seems a bit too powerful to be an Aegis in my opinion.
If I could forget the story of one game, to replay it fresh, it would be this game. Without question.
It also played when Gadolt sacrificed himself
Imagine if somehow, the ending of Xenoblade X led to this scene as its final scene.
"It was simple curiosity. The curiosity of a single man that destroyed the universe"
And then the credits roll.
I was thinking the same thing! What if Klaus just wanted to escape the attacks?
Oh, I thought XC-X took place on the new world Shulk and Alvis create, but then the new world gets invaded so they go to Mira. but your theory makes sense too
*CODENAME Z plays*

you should put a spoiler warning, i myself have beaten xc2 but many people haven't yet!
god my head hurts from trying to comprehend all of this
Fuhki Shoga the plot of Xenoblade 1 was fairly straightforward and Xenoblade 2 just scrambled it to hell. while these games are amazing I almost hope they don’t make a Xenoblade 3 just to fuck with the plot more and this is coming from a lifelong KH and Metal Gear fan. japan please let me like an rpg without making it take way too much thinking to comprehend
Excuse me, but not just XC1 and 2.
But ALL of the Xeno franchise's games.
Spoiler alert for 2nd game
Glad to know Klaus regrets all of this.
It's like his "good" side was left in the original world while his egotistical, power-craving side was placed in new world.
Roxxys -!-
Well one side at least
@Spookibrae
It’s more of a nurture rather than nature kind of thing.
I can't wait to see this all in HD.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you learn about how there were initially 3 Aegis, one of which, Ontos, disappeared in a transdimentional accident. Going back to Xenoblade 1 heavily implies that Alvis himself was that Aegis
What if Alvis is the computer that they used to control (and eventually use) the trinity processor (The trinity being the three aegises)
After leaving the comment i realized this but thank you for the clarification.
ontos disappeared might just be a presumption from the scientists. there's a possibility that alvis transfered him self on his own will

...and recognised this cutscene straight away because you’re such a fucking loser like me.
Wait, if Alvis’s home is the orbit station then does that mean he’s Ontos?
If alvis is a blade, does that make shulk his driver?
Cell Eater still, Malos had a Monado, and the Monado from the first game, they are the weapons of the two aegises, with Pnuema being an exception since her’s is a sword, but the ascendent form of the sword has some resemblance, like the round circle at the hilt. Not to mention xc was made way before xc2 so the devs probably didn’t originally plan to use klaus’s story again until they realized it could actually work.
@@texrex7551 Who controlled by Zanza would be his driver.

I just realized that Shulk has one of the replica Monados instead of the Monado III.
Also, slight audio desync near the end of the cutscene.
*MAJOR SPOILERS FOR XENOBLADE 2*
So in Chapter 10 it is shown this scene in Xenoblade 2, and it shows Klaus creating the worlds.
You are telling the obvious.
Maybe Bionis and Mechonis joined earth in the end in another corner. And how big is Alrest anyway? North America?
Just to elaborate a little more on your point.
Klaus tells you in XC2 that his other half is about to expire, that means that he was aware of all that was happening on the other side as well and that both games take place at the same time, just in different universes.
Also Gramps doesn't take them through a portal, he takes them through a rift which doesn't automatically mean portal. Also the world tree is visible in the post game title screen, so I don't think they went to a new world at all. If they did, it would completely go against Klaus' wish to restore the world he destroyed.
Do you guys think they will edit this cutscene for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 connection?
Definitely yes. At least they should add a core cristal on Alvis chest

Who's here from XC2?
6:00 Why does the Monado look different... and isn't the blue one...
Why am I imagining a holy scripture version of the genesis the Worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, the first one going like this?
The Origin of the Bionis and Mechonis
In the beginning, the world was called earth, around lied the Conduit, where Alvis, the Monado, was born.
Thus the war between the two Titans began.
did shulk kill alvis when he destroyed the monados (6:41)? what do you think?
No, I thought......
Maybe make another space transition?
Did Shulk doom his universe to an inevitable heat-death in this scene?
Thought this was cx2's ending and saw 5 years ago and said wait wat
3:27 What does that even mean? XD
Were the others in the lab Dickson and Lorithia? (0:40 / 0:44)
I think that's a possibility, but unfortunately there is no way we can know for sure.
I chekced and double checked, those two look nothing like Dickson/Lorithia. I think the idea is really only Zanza and Meyneth came from the original universe.
AxelXGabriel It's still possible. Look at Meyneth she was a human in the lab and became a Machina.
LolomaticaStyle
She and Zanza became gods.
Note that Takahashi likes to do these backwards names shenanigans like in Xenogears for example,
Xenogears SPOILERS ahead??
Elehayym backwards is Myyah ele, which means something like "Myyah is here", or "Thou, Myyah". (彼、ミァン).
Spoilers for Xenoblade 2:
It's also worth pointing out that Meyneth's true name, Galea, when the syllables are reversed, is "Eagal", which sounds like "Egil."
Anyone know the OST that starts at 4:06?
Kyle Kingsland If you haven't already found it, it's called "Once we part Ways".
Once we part ways
Summary of the game: We don’t need gods lol. We make our own decisions in this world.
The three Monados reminds me of Triforce from The Legend of Zelda
Alvis is a computer, what if this is all a simulation, happening inside the machines of the labs from Xenoblade X, to simulate a new life, but that's just a theory, a game theory.
I think that alvis is the computer used by klaus to create the new universe :S but it is all sooo wierd xD
gt
Game theory is shit
Fuiger sorry, but that theory is void now that Xenoblade 2 is out.
MASSIVE XENOBLADE 2 SPOILERS
So did Alvis just miss the giant Mecha war outside, the Zohar esque infinite energy generator, almost the entire scene where Klaus conducted the experiment, and the fact that the space station was jutting out the freaking earth?
ReckyDaGuy The Aegises have altered memories from the time when they were nothing more than super computers if Pneuma's memories are something to go by.
Shulk, bring Harambe back
"What's done is done. Move on." - Reyn
Monados out for harambe.
Sorry, he wished for a world without gods
That meme is DEAD. Let it go.
+Sonario648 I'm one with the wind and snow!
There's just one thing that's always bugged me about this video...
Why did you switch back to the replica Monado, when Monado III is like, the best weapon for Shulk? I also feel like it kinda ruins the scene, when instead of throwing away a god's weapon, he just tosses up this dinky-ass machine.
