      That was so sad. The parents act so supportive for the cameras, but it's easy to see how they really are through the children.
      Take my girls for instance, 20 and 22 years old. I was always VERY supportive of them, and they are, to this day, the opposite of that little girl- NOTHING is their fault! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And I feel like IF it wasn't her family that killed her...then it was a psycho pedophile that killed her. It's just too much. I'm from the south and never got into beauty pageants...and not even many of my friends did it when we were kids. We were all into cheerleading, dance and gymnastics. Not pageants. I dont really get the point of them. Do you win a lot of money or something? Bc all the time effort and MONEY its costs...plus making those little girls practice and compete all the time. Smh. • @angeliki5135
      @angeliki5135 4 ปีที่แล้ว +43

      I feel like these pageants are wrong not only because of the kids missing out on childhood, but also the possibility of these pageants being watched by predatory men who are disgusting and this stuff fuels them into wanting to do worse stuff once their teens.
      I dislike these mothers for not realizing just how real that danger can be, that those girls could get followed until they are teens and violated. Might just be my paranoid mind though.
      But these mothers, oh my goodness chill they are little girls they need to be outside building sand castles and eating bugs and playing with dolls like dont make them grow up to 14 when their 4! Childhood is so limited and so precious... it should be protected and cherished and the kids in childhood should be valued by being given that amazing opportunity to just be a kid.

      @m.shanebritton7830 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@lessehead If you look at a child or a group of children and the terms "sexual" or "sexualized" come to mind, that's on you. Children certainly do not trigger sexual innuendo in my mind. But I can only speak for myself. What many people fail to realize is that a number of these kids are discovered by talent agencies and go on to have successful careers with companies like Disney and Nickelodeon. Many of these kids with musical talent are discovered and signed by major recording labels. Stars like Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and countless others got their start in beauty pageants. Please don't get me wrong here. I'm not glorifying all child beauty pageants. Some pageant systems are not legitimate. The directors care only about money and do not promote child talent. In fact, in 2020, there are far fewer legitimate national pageant systems than there were 15 to 20 years ago. Good pageant systems build self-confidence, improve self-esteem, values and morals for the kids who compete. Top contenders also earn a comfortable six figures a year in cash and prizes. I am referring to those contestants who compete in multiple pageant systems year round. I judge pageants on the national circuit, and only for accredited and legitimate systems. I should also note that I rarely judge for these Glitz pageant systems. Rather, I tend to stick to all natural systems, where hair pieces, flippers, heavy makeup and fake hair pieces are not permitted. We encourage a "soft" look, with minimal makeup and simple, soft hairstyles. I can certainly agree that it's the unaccredited, illegitimate pageant systems that create a negative stigma for all pageants.

    I don't think the Judges should judge the girls based on how expensive their dresses are. Pageant Titles shouldn't be won based on how much money you have to spend on a dress for a toddler that will probably grow-out the clothes in a few months.

    • @paradoxic7869
      @paradoxic7869 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Little kids go through clothes so fast and they grow like weeds. You can't drop money on expensive clothing that'll they maybe wear at max 10 times. I wonder how much debt these parents are in, and I wish they would put how much the parents spent and how prize money they won, if any. Surely this has to be a expensive hobby/lifestyle.
      I feel sorry for these kids.

    See the problem with this is. This precious little girl had a melt down when she did not win because her mom has put so much pressure on her to win. When she did not win, just notice the mom's reaction, she is defeated, angry and pissed. This is projected onto the little girl who now thinks it's her fault and she is the reason for her mom's unhappiness. You see the mom says that it is 'her' dream but it's infact, the mom's dream which she has groomed her daughter into. This is just very stressful for the child and a recipe for emotional and self esteem issues later on. Pageants involving anyone below 18 should be banned

      Wow. You guys are really getting mad at a child for messing up. She’s a child. Children make mistakes. She recovered from it pretty well. You people are why the other little girl is crying. Her crying and saying “It’s my fault” is an example of the negative mindset she has weighing her down. This mindset is caused by you people. So many people watching her, getting mad that she didn’t win. She knows that her winning makes her mom happy. That’s why she cried.These pageants for literal toddlers are a bad thing to make them do. It causes them to grow up with this same mindset. “I need to win or my mom will cry” These pageants are clearly not for fun. They are for the parent’s own enjoyment. It is not a good thing for a kid to grow up doing. The parents are bad people for doing this to their children.

    Children's pageants where minors of any age ranging from 1 to 18 prance around stage and get judged is almost child abuse. Forcing children who cant make decisions for themselves to get up on stage with a hideous dress and fake hair, fake eyelashes, fake teeth and prance around for a few low lives to judge them and criticise them based on their appearances just so their parents can live vicariously through them is just wrong on so many levels. They have to spend all their spare time around bitchy adults who pressure them to the moon and back to look perfect and learning how to walk on a stage looking fake as hell. The pressure of it, the judging and the need to look like other peoples ideas of perfect is what will give all those children not only self esteem issues and body image issues but also a life they lead with the bitchy, petty and self centred attitudes that everyone they grew up around forced on them. That child didn't care that she wasn't the prettiest because she didn't even understand exactly what she was getting judged on. She just understood she had to get up and look good to make her mother happy She cared that she didn't get the toy car and she cried because her mother and grandmother were crying at the fact that she lost the competition to see whos child is the prettiest

    I hate child beauty pageants. Just look at the audience, nothing but the parents and family. Such a waste of money 💰 in my estimation. Just my opinion. It truly looks like mothers living their lives through their children. Sad, silly, and isn’t teaching children the real lessons of life. Let children be children.

      I mean it would probably be a bit worse if a lot of people who weren't their parents and family were in the audience, same as a ballet club performance. But I think everyone who watches this show we all agree this is the weirdest hobby to give your daughter and gives them the worst message of what they're valued for as little girls and later as women.

    How dare that judge penalize that poor little girl that clearly worked so hard and put her heart and soul into her routine, over her dress material being, “Cheap”. Seriously BROKE MY HEART.
    First off, I’d bet my life that her parents have already invested every last dime of their money into all of this.Second of all, they shouldn’t have been able to deduct points over the material of the dress. If she didn’t like it, comment that on her form but don’t let that deduct from her overall score.

    If I had a daughter she wouldn't need a beauty pageant for me to let her know she is beautiful. These mothers need to raise their daughters to feel loved, feel worthy, to be self-confident and not to be judged and objectified by others.

    she’s proud of her itty bitty child for training her to walk across a stage and flaunt her stuff. that’s not something to be proud of. she should be teaching her daughter how to love herself for her natural beauty and not caring about superficial things like pageants and artificial beauty.
