there’s nothing wrong with having an alter ego. it can actually be and is normally healthy. this is her way of not letting the pageant’s and need to be perfect and pretty take over her whole life. this is her way of keeping the two worlds separate so she doesn’t feel the need to always be “on” and perfect. when she’s on stage, she can pretend to be someone else, it probably makes her feel more relaxed and takes some pressure off. it probably boosts her confidence to pretend to be someone else. she’s protecting her true self. and when she’s off stage she’s just Madison. there is no Tootie. she doesn’t need to be perfect. she can go play in the mud and be a kid. Madison is safe and protected since she isn’t Madison on stage. i don’t agree with pageants AT ALL the whole concept is sexist and toxic imo. and i especially don’t agree with young girls being out in them. i don’t agree with anyone at any age being forced into them. (but some people find them fun. that’s ok) and there’s a lot of toxic stuff happening here in this video BUT this kid having an alter ego isn’t one of those toxic things lol. a lot of you are overreacting and over dramatizing the fact that she simply has an alter ego.

She’s doing good now career wise but you can tell she’s def obsessed with her image, she said she works out all of the time and watches what she eats. She looks great don’t get me wrong but I feel like that kinda pressure to be perfect def carry’s into adulthood and her mom literally does everything for it, kinda weird honestly

How sad that when she was asked, if she was happy that she had won a crown she pressed her lips together and went. I don’t know she couldn’t just enjoy them all and she couldn’t enjoy the hard work that went into the weekend. She’s just couldn’t be in the moment it’s heartbreaking.

That’s so frustrating how disappointed they are at the end, like can’t you just be happy with the title you got? Honestly these pageants are horrible for young girls and all it does is teach them to be spoils brats and it makes them think that outward beauty is all that matters. And these parents just do it out of greed, not for their children.

Real beauty comes from within; it doesn't matter how much paint you put on it. I think this show is toxic inasmuch as I think most of these Moms are trying to live out their lost childhoods through their kids. All I see are bratty kids that act like poor sports when they don't win.
