Ok... We're all impressed with the quality of her playing. No arguments. But, first things first, miracle-wise... Can we pause and marvel for a moment at the quality of her *taste* in music. There are American college graduates who couldn't name this song, or the band which recorded it. She's been playing stuff like this for years already.... And she's *12* !!!
Great point ! One quibble though ….. it would seem that a majority of gender/race obsessed American college graduates, could not identify ANY music which is not rap or hip-hop. ie - they can not identify any “music” whatsoever. Well done Yoyoka - epic, as always. 👏🏼👏🏼
Let's not be music snobs. You're NEVER going to like any band until you're introduced to it (with discovering it yourself following the same principle - you turn on the radio and a DJ introduces you to the band). We don't choose our parents (who will have introduced her to half the music she plays and even pushed* her into being the talent she is). *Another argument for another day.
My brother was a really good drummer "back in the day" and I played in a couple garage bands as well. (NO COMPARISON HERE!) After setting here all evening watching a bunch of Yoyoka's wonderful videos I think if I still had a drum set now I'd just go BURN THEM!! I literally had tears streaming down my face after the first vid and just couldn't get enough! I sent a few vid's to my bro and we are both absolutely amazed and impressed at your AMAZING SKILLS and wonderful happy personality!! As the saying goes - "YOU-GO-GIRL"! And I'm sure you will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's just so fun to see her performing at a level that only a small portion of musicians will ever achieve, and then, at the interlude, turn right back into a little kid and make faces! I'm inspired to make faces at everyone, on my way home from work!
As always Yoyoka nails the part with excellence and spirit... I must remind the world that her father manages to capture the sounds so well. These videos are legendary because we can hear, (and see)... EVERYTHING!
Agree. Aki(sp)? Does an excellent job with sound. These videos have always sounded so good. Video is great too, I don’t get motion sick like some other videos. Keep doing it this way.
Magical performance. She goes way beyond covering a great track. It's like she feels what Bonham felt, and delivers all of it perfectly. What a musician she is!
I find it uterly amazing that this girl hits so hard, smiles constantly while she is having the time of her life. Staying so relaxed and in the pocket all the time. Absolutely nails it!!!
Yoyoka always makes me smile. The joy she exhibits while playing is infectious. To truly enjoy doing something you're good at is a blessing. I still wish she'd do Alice Cooper's "Billion Dollar Babies". To me that's a song where the drums take the lead, and everyone follows along.
Make sure you're subscribed to this channel and get all notifications. She has published her Led Boots live with The Narada Michael Walden band. Narada cheering her on too.
I've been waiting for Yoyo to do this one since I caught on 4-5 years back. Surprised she waited this long and thinking maybe she just hasn't heard it? Nah...so here it is and it lives up to the wait. Just so amazing - the original production and Yoyo pounding the legendary drum part like it's been living inside of her all these years. Cathartic moments for me listening and watching. I was so truly blown away by both her musicianship as f'ing always, and by the maturity she displayed in her showmanship. This one goes on the shortest list of the Yoyoka videos that I will play repeatedly. And the song -OMG! My definition of a true classic song is one that never gets old - play it forever and we all just keep going with it.
How blessed are we as Yoyoka's army to get these 2 iconic Zep tunes back to back 10 days apart! This one was pure class Yoyoka! Some serious top shelf grooving! 🤙🏼
This, to me, is just about the perfect zeppelin song. It has it all! Yoyoko is perfectly in that slower pocket! The fills are just perfect! No rush, no lag… just spot on 😮
Thank you so much John and Byron! I am thrilled YOYOKA is returning to Led Zeppelin again. But even more impressive is the sound Mr. Akifumi captured in the studio. I have heard the the original was recorded in a stairwell at an old mansion. Her drums sound just great. So thank you 2x for Mr. Akifumi and for Yoyoka for giving us such a treat. It really makes me so 😊 happy!
I don`t know what`s come over me . Ever since I discovered Yoyoka , I feel compelled to watch her play . This my era music and I am constantly smiling . . To watch such a young stunning talent be totally in the music and showing so much joy doing it, is such a pleasure. I can´t explain it I am not a drummer but I am just mesmerised . . Just wow Yoyoka .
It answers a question I used to have: is LZ really great music i.e. would young people recognize it as such OR does LZ sound so great because it is the music of my youth. I think Yoyoka has put that question to rest for this old man.
PRINCESS YOYOKA , YOU ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT ! YOU WIN THE AUDITION , YOUNG LADY ! YOU SHOULD BE LED ZEPPELIN'S DRUMMER IF THEY EVER PLAY AGAIN ! BUT CAN THEY KEEP UP WITH YOU , THEY'RE OLD GUYS , YOU KNOW !
Beautiful tone and I think it was respectful of you to se the drums as Bonham did. Great emotion and energy throughout. In my humble opinion, no one can emulate the late, great John Bonham as accurately and with as much emotion as Yoyoka. Beautifully done little lady!!!!
I've heard drum teacher's saying this is a difficult drum groove to get down correctly. Yoyoka nails this song with ease. She is definitely on her way to becoming a "Global Drummer".
A cup of great coffee and the best young drummer in the world. Playing a phenomenal cover of one of my favorite Zeppelin songs it's a great day thanks Yoyoka 😊. Rock on little sister.
Thank you so much, Yoyo-san. One of my favorite Bonham lines. Ahhh I feel so much better now. Very subtle this one. The Jedi Knight drummer brings The Force into my room. 🤩
Probably my favourite Led Zeppelin track, you've captured the feel perfectly. Sound production of the drums is stunning! Love your sense of humour 😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💥
I close my eyes and I know it's Yoyoka playing but I swear I can also hear Bonham. That's the highest praise I've got.
Reincarnation?
Sure enough... I can picture Bonhm on his orange Ludwig Vista lite kit, jammin away!!
She is absolutely impressive and talented ...go Yoyoka!
So curious if she wants to make a career of this bc anyone would be lucky to have her in their band
Me too😊. Same sensation when I close m'y eyes 😊. John Bonham for sur... Even thé echo and the sound coming to your ears... Like a knife cut

As great as Yoyoka is at covering other drummers when it comes to Bonham she is flat out spooky great. What a joy to witness.
She plays better than professional band drummers.
Been gigging just short of 10 years now. Explore this, her channel, in full. It's all there. She is a professional.
Don't you see how she has become now?
She is a professional drummer. But yes even back when she was 5 she was better than most pro drummers.
You bring tears of happiness. John would be honored! Thank You!!
These slower beats were always the hardest for me to play. Yoyoko plays it like she's been doing this for nearly her entire life. Wait, she has!!!!
If Yoyoka got any deeper in the pocket she'd never get out. Nice to see her find a song that she really grooves on herself.
She's extremely talented and multi-facted. But she's at her absolute best when she's channeling Bonham.
Sounds great, in the pocket, heavy hands just like Bonzo... oh yeah and she's having a blast playing. She wins.
I KNOW RIGHT ! 🥁
My brother was a really good drummer "back in the day" and I played in a couple garage bands as well. (NO COMPARISON HERE!)

I was taught about the odd time signatures in this song. I think she nailed it.
its just occurred to me that many of us have essentially watched yoyoka grow up on you tube.
When I see Led Zeppelin and Yoyoka, I smash "LIKE!"
She is the best living drummer on this planet!! Please form a Super Group that brings us back to 70's
Lol…..Thomas lang, Vinnie Colaiuta. You don’t know.
この重た~~い感じで心地良いグルーブ、まさにボンゾだわ。この動画をジミー・ペイジが見たら涙流すんじゃないかな。ていうか俺が泣きそう。

Holy moly she really nails this song so well
Resists the temptation to overplay. IN THE POCKET! Incredible feel.
Yoyoka playing Bonham is just the Best
Except for Jason Bonham 😉
As always Yoyoka nails the part with excellence and spirit... I must remind the world that her father manages to capture the sounds so well. These videos are legendary because we can hear, (and see)... EVERYTHING!

Always Awesome!!🤗

She hit this hard when she was 8!
This song is a test for drummer's discipline staying in the pocket. Her restraint is amazing and played the song flawlessly. WOW 👌 👏 😍 👍
YES! DISCIPLINE IS THE BEST QUALITY FOR A DRUMMER IMO
Not just the level of precision with which you play, but also joy! Unique!
Not only is she talented she has great taste in music.

YOYOKA is something special........very special.
Please keep making us happy! Never lose that spirit! 🤘
Simply AMAZING! Yoyoka Is Rock!!!
My favorite Zeppelin song and she totally nails it!
Like a thundering storm rolling through the hills, so is the mighty Yoyoka-san
Those single bass pedal triplets are killer.
CBC Radio Q should team you with Robert Plant for a interview and Jam Session... maybe with a NPR Tiny Desk Concert or PBS Austin City Limits gig
There is actually a video of Robert Plant reacting to her playing drums to Good Times, Bad Times when she was only 8
People might actually be interested in that. So hard pass from current CBC management.
That is awesome take it from a guy who seen John Bonham play in the 70s kid your going to be an asset to rock n roll

I'm a simple man, so when I see such rythym and fluidity I hit the like drum! ❤

She is better at drums at 13 or 14 years old than the majority of people will ever be at anything in their entire lives. THAT is wild.
Yoyoka feels that lump like few do, regardless of age. Her phrasing and swing are impeccable.
よよかサンのような素晴らしい音楽が分かる若い子が日本人にいる事を同じ日本人として誇りに思います。日本でくすぶる事なく世界に向け頑張って。素晴らしいドラミングです。
One of the best drum beats of all time, you nailed it as always!
So happy to see Yoyoka coming back to the Zep and one of my all time favorites in her usual flawless fashion! 😎👍
Super Yoyoka!!!! 🐸📅🥳👍🤙🎵🍿🪴👏🎉🎵🥁🐸🏄😀
This is the first time that I've ever seen someone truly nail the feel and groove of this song. Wow. Just wow.
I love it when yoyoka 2:32 makes those face expressions
Even the drumstick was so impressed it snapped with excitement 🥰
Bonzo would’ve had no other way
She said she breaks a stick every couple days. Thats how you smash em!
If you see nothing but Deluuge,
all around, you can bet that Yoyoko
had a hand - in bringing it dowwn 🥁!
:-)) 💕 . .

True! #teamyoyoka ❤❤❤
The most sampled drum track in history. The definition of pocket!
Yoyoca RULES !!! I never enjoyed this song, but listening to her on drums, I had to change my mind!
Bonham is definitely proud, Yoyoka...Rock On!!
Thanks, great tune, excellent performance. Wow! Another stick bites the dust.
重い音で身体が強く揺れる💪💪💪血が騒ぐ🍅🍅🍅涙が出ます😂😂😂ありがとう!!
My admiration for Led Zeppelin has gone up about 100 points since listening to Yoyoka.
-100 points for me. This has a good base beat and Fool in the Rain has that nice samba segment but as a whole both are such dull songs.
Girl is a straight born drummer !
This, to me, is just about the perfect zeppelin song. It has it all! Yoyoko is perfectly in that slower pocket! The fills are just perfect! No rush, no lag… just spot on 😮
Dear Yoyoka - I’m so glad to see and hear your Zeppelin groove coming from California. As always, you are phenomenal.
It’s the pure joy on her face that says it all!
Luv when she smiles cause she’s having so much fun! Awesome Yoyo!
Ahhhhh! Yoyoka playing some Zeppelin! So good!!! 😃😃😃😎😎😎😃😃😃
I've been following Yoyoka since she was four and her dedication and progress amazes me every single time. Flawless playing! Go Yoyoka!

Perfection at its finest Yoyoka on drums covering Led Zeppelin
Bass drum work alone is totally mesmerizing. Awesome performance and exquisite time as always-- bravo!
It took these detailed Zep cover videos showing the amazing drums prowess of this young lady to further appreciate the genius of Bonzo
Applause 👏🏻
She really got into the song. You could tell she was enjoying it completely. A truly rare talent

She plays with the spirit of someone who digs Zep every bit as much as you do... It goes beyond total competence, it is done with passion.
It answers a question I used to have: is LZ really great music i.e. would young people recognize it as such OR does LZ sound so great because it is the music of my youth. I think Yoyoka has put that question to rest for this old man.
Yoyoka mastered that drag blues beat in her 9th month.

So awesome being a drummer of 35 years myself and a huge Zeppelin fan I just love watching this young star! So happy to see she has so much passion. 🤩
Incredible! You nailed it, even with a broken stick! You truly are one of a kind, Yoyoka! Keep rocking!💥🥁
Love the happiness in her face.......its still the same as when she was 7 and playing the drums. Way to shred those sticks!🔥
One of my favorite songs played by one of my favorite drummers!!! Thank you Yoyoka!! I am so happy you are flourishing here in the USA!

I recently came across her channel, & I'm still incredibly amazed at her talent 👏 🥁 🎯
She is a joy to watch!!
Had a bad day at work but it's all better now. Thank you, Yoyoka.

Yesterday a sweet talented child who plays very well, today a superb professional drum artist.
Not only in the groove, but making it look easy. Having fun and that smile is killer.
I've heard drum teacher's saying this is a difficult drum groove to get down correctly. Yoyoka nails this song with ease. She is definitely on her way to becoming a "Global Drummer".
