'The Definitive Version.' As a guitarist I loved this guy since way back in the Pat Travers Live days and beyond in Black Oak Arkansas. I loved him with Ozzy as well. What a gig that was with Brad Gillis here in Memphis in '82, broadcast live across the nation (I have perfect tape of that show my dad recorded for me while I was at the concert, btw). I've know Jim Dandy from here in Memphis going back to 1985 and still bring up Tommy's name practically every time I get a chance to see him ...and Ruby Starr of course. Keep on rockin' Tommy!
This kicks ass!! Great job to a legend!! Tommy you are as amazing now as you were when you joined Whitesnake in 1987!
YEEESSSSS!! Tommy is definitely one of the best rock drummers in history!! So glad to have this video!!
Tommy hits HARD!
That hi-hat never stopped moving for more than a few beats. My gawd that man is still so good.
I've been a fan of Tommy since Black Oak Arkansas. One of the legendary drummers of all time. Never get tired of watching this man play.
Always my favorite Whitesnake song. Tommy Aldridge really is a beast !
Oh my f**kin god, that's awesome! Huge respect for a live version!
Music never leaves your veins, the beat lives on in your sole. Rock on Tommy
Dude the ENERGY IS INSANE!
Absolutely phenomenal from one of the greats I listened to as a child in the 80's !
I’m a new Relic fan after seeing them at the Brownwood Square in The Villages, FL. I will make a point to see them every time they are in The Villages!!! They Rock!!!!!! 🎸
Tommy Aldridge is the "Steal" of the Night" on those drums. Forever ♾️ a legend he will be.
You go, Tommy!
HOLY SHIT!!! Dude is killing those drums.
There's only one Tommy. No one else plays like him. Long live the king of the double kicks!!
I love this!
I watched him live when they were on tour in the 80’s
Great showman!
This took me back so many years and watching him slay this made me so happy...I did rock in my room.....and I don't even drum!
At 73 years old the guy still has it!! He hits them pretty damn hard for an old guy Too!!😁
Tommy's face just has this "I'm only doing this because I love you" look the whole time he's beating those drums and cymbals.
I Like It.
What the hell...
He is a 73 years old and still powerful... Love him so much
I always loved his double hits with a single pedal on the kick. So tight and precise. Definitely raised the bar for the rest of us mortals.
one of the most underrated drummers of all time !!! that clip @ 73 is amazing he never slows down
To this day, he did one of the best drum solos I ever saw, back in the late 80s at a Whitesnake show
I’m so glad i got to see him play with Whitesnake on their 2004 reunion tour.
Insane energy ⚡️
loved his drumming as soon as I heard over the mountain intro back in the early 80's! Awesome!
Perfect groove and rock-solid timing. Still showing the kids how it's done!!!
I hope I’m still rocking like that when I’m 73
Imagine your grandpa blasting like this. Crazy! much love
my favorite whitesnake song that immediately reminded me of zepplin. Tommy is an absolute legend
Odd..."Slow & Easy" (Whiresnake's 1st single from "Slide it In" album) was his most Zepplinesque song IMO. [Though "Still of the Night" is my favorite too].
But for the record...despite being on the tour & doing all the videos for the album (including the video for "Still of the Night") it was not Tommy that played on that album...
Aynsley Dunbar is the original drummer on the song.
Asli emang keren banget, waktu Whitesnake maen di Jogjarockarta 2020 aku fokusnya nonton permainan drum pak Tommy, diumur yang tak lagi muda tp maen drumnya totalitas dan energik, salut pak Tommy 🔥
Tommy's drumming is a MAJOR reason this song is so awesome!! He knows EXACTLY when to play it tight, and when to air it out!
He didn’t play on this song. That’s Ainsley Dunbar’s playing you’ve been admiring.
@@isaiahmarquez9717 yeah, that's probably why he plays a live version here. I rather see him playing some Ozzy...
