Such a great bunch - got the CD on Tuesday and have been listening to it pretty much ever since. Unmistakingly Steve which immediately makes it interesting to me but got to say they're all great and together they HAVE created magic indeed. Can't wait to see them live!
SOOOO cool to see Steve Morse join forces with Neal! I first saw these two in the Dregs and Spocks Beard respectively, and though similar styles, I never dreamed that'd come together. God bless this effort!!!!
One of the best albums I've heard in a while. A breathe of fresh air! When I seen the lineup I was really interested. They did not disappoint, it's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I hope they tour on this one.
Been waiting for this project for over a year now. Glad it's finally coming out in March 2012. Great to see Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy again as well as Steve Morse. Loved his guitar work in "Seeds of Gold." And Casey McPherson from Alpha Rev is freakin' cool! Now it's my sincere hope and prayer that Flying Colors will make a Texas tour stop. Keeping the fingers crossed!!!
So your telling me, that a day before the Adren. Mob CD release, I could get to meet MIKE PORTNOY AND THE BAND... then the next day get his CD, then the following week or 2, get the new FC CD? How could March get any better?!?!?! THANK YOU MP!!!
It's kind of amazing to see one of my inspirations (Mike Portnoy) wearing a shirt that has my last name "Stockton" on it. It just reassures me about my calling with music.
Ten times Wow!!! I heard the whole album and it's just one amazing soundtrip of the highest creative progrock, mixed with fabulous melodies. Tracks like The Storm (my favourite!), Kayla, Everything Changes, Love Is What I am Waiting For are the best poprock I heard since ages. This band is The Beatles of today with a progtwist!! Amazing guitarsolo's of Steve Morse and a true short epic in the Neal More vein: Infinite Fire. Great voice of Casey McPherson. Album of the year!!!!! Hallelujah, amen.
@TheFloriman you said almost exactly what I wanted to say. I'm a big fan of old muse, not the new stuff. I definitely hear some similarities, but muse was reallly groundbreaking and delivered fantastic, very original work. I wonder if FC will be able to go that far. Let's hope so!
This band is amazing. I don´t even know what´s my favorite song. Sometimes is Kayla, sometimes is Storm and sometimes is All Falls Down. This album is a masterpiece
@beeroosterm Mike Portnoy has been playing with Neal Morse for a long while. He is an amazing composer and that shows through all of his work. Check out his song called "seeds of gold", there's a lenghty Steve Morse guitar solo in it.
I think the further cause of the "quick working" is Neals Studio! Seems that there is an special energy there! They always work very fast there. Just look at the last Transatlantic or Neals own productions!
I love it best when Mike is playing this kind of music (other than DT). I love his collaborations with Neal, and like Transatlantic, I'm sure this will be pretty kick ass. I'm looking forward to it!!
The 10 people that disliked this obviously don't know music!!! Idiots!!! What an exciting time to be a fan of these Musicians and MUSIC as well!!! Oh, to the people out there that enjoy Portnoy's style listen to a band named Scale The Summit. Great prog from kick ass young talent!! Cheers everyone!!!
I agree, Images and Words and Awake are some of his best with DT and now his voice is maturing more. Even his solo work is great. I know for a time he had problems with his voice but that comes with the territory.
I don't get it why some people still have this hate for Portnoy. Grow up he left DT with a lot of achievements and he continues to grow as a musician/drummer. I agree that he is an artist first and then an amazing drummer. The only time Portnoy is not composing/writing is if he is playing as a session drummer. A good example is when he drums for Neal Morse's solo album. When he is doing toher projects in a band enviroment he has quiet a bit of creative input. Portnoy is a genius no doubt there.
It was a shame that Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater, but Dream Theater kept on doing amazing music, and now we have another amazing band. Flying Colors. It all ended up really well.
What studio was the project recorded in? It is amazing seeing some of my favorite most respected musicians of all time. I have had the pleasure, and honor, to do a GC clinic sound for Steve Morse, Steve Lukather and crew. I wish there was a way to get this music more visible, I will do my best. I truly believe the more people hear it the larger the fan base will grow. AMAZING ! ! !
One of the most highly anticipated releases for the past 5 years for me.
The different "flavors" in this project... amazing
What a HUGE inspiration! FC, just keep writing and we'll keep supporting you.
Watched this three times already, getting ready for a fourth. Cant get enough of this band!
The album was great. I listened to it last night... And listening to it again.
Such a great bunch - got the CD on Tuesday and have been listening to it pretty much ever since. Unmistakingly Steve which immediately makes it interesting to me but got to say they're all great and together they HAVE created magic indeed. Can't wait to see them live!

Can't wait for the second great disc. So much respect for each one of these artists. Perfect combination. Magic chemistry.
I LOVE THIS: Thank you thank you thank you for still in the music.
Can't wait until this album is out! Such versatile musicians! Mike Portnoy can literally do anything! So excited
cant wait to hear it. portnoys been my favorite drummer since 1992 and will always be my favorite.
One of the best albums I've heard in a while. A breathe of fresh air! When I seen the lineup I was really interested. They did not disappoint, it's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I hope they tour on this one.
You can instantly hear Steve and Neal are in this band, they both got their own unique sounds
This sounds great, and the cover of the album looks awesome.
Cannot wait! Probably my most anticipated album of 2012. Album art is spectacular.
That sounds really good! i hope i can see this live in Portugal soon
Been listening to it today, and all i can say is its absolutely brilliant. The people who disliked this are obviously inept at listening.
Really nice to hear MP playing a 7/8 groove again!
Can't freaking wait for this to come out.

we demand this music on the radio! play this music on the radio! let's make this music a top hit!
There is so much talent there! And it seems to work.
Really looking forward to this record. Will be the one of the best albums to come out this year no doubt!!!!!
love love love the new Flying Colors! "Kayla", "The Storm" & "Shoulda..."are an epic fave o' mine!
Im here for every single one of them, I'm here for the music. Any problems?
Flying Colors was an amazing, amazing band. So good! And this music will hold up forever. Also, Casey is a crazy good singer.
Saw them last night... AWESOME!!!!!!
i look forward to the upcoming album. definetely one that i will buy.
Man, anticipation is realy an understatement...
Saw Steve Morse with Deep Purple a few years ago, and Mike Portnoy with A7X a couple of years ago. Awesome to see them in the same band!
I'm so excited about this project, I'm a huge fan of Mike and Neal's music and we can be sure that it will be mindblowing!!
This sounds very promising. Can't wait for the album.
ive been tripping on the album cover... love it
Sounds great! Neal is the King Midas of Rock and Roll.

Nice to see my good friend Bill Evans. Congratulations Guys.
I need this song right NOW!!!
excited for the whole album, the track starting at 4:22 especially
I'm here for the group and the project because if it happens to be the sum of its parts my head will probably explode
@RaphaelSBS Allen Russel is the singer of Symphony X, and he joined forces with Mike Portnoy for his other Project called Adrenaline Mob.
That opening track is just like..One of those songs that gets stuck in your head. But not in an annoying way xD
So glad to see Mike moving on with his amazing side-projects instead of over-dwelling his exit from DT.
Great Band and fantastic album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, this tune sounds great.
2012 - Flying Colors - Shoulda Coulda Woulda - masterpiece, reminds me of one of my favourite band "muse" in their best times
I want this now please!!
In all honesty. I think this is going to be the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of existence.
I was so worried when I heard Adrenaline Mob. Thought I was not gonna listen to Portnoy's amazingness anymore. After seeing this I feel so relieved.
Awesome group, awesome album.
That last song is going to be mind blowing.
So excited for this, sounds differently awesome!
This didn't immediately grab me, but there is so much raw talent here I have to withhold an opinion till I can hear the finished product.
Casey McPherson is very lucky to be with those 4 legendary musicians.
This band is amazing. I don´t even know what´s my favorite song. Sometimes is Kayla, sometimes is Storm and sometimes is All Falls Down. This album is a masterpiece
Its good to see Portnoy left 'good' and doing something 'better'! Gonna love this!
Looking so much forward for this album!!! I mean this will be f*cking EPIC!!!
i cant wait!! the potential is amazing - just the few audio bites i have heard sound incredible!
0:57, oh hi there kevin spacey xD
Awesome! Sounds exciting!!
Not a big Portnoy fan as far as personality but the talent goes without saying. This showcases the craft.
Wow! Sounds awesome!
@HereticGB Apparently Neal and Mike have both done vocals for this album, Casey is doing lead.
Loved the vid! I am truly intrigued about this project, I bet it will work out really well!! Master musicians together n.n

Welcome back!!!
I love it best when Mike is playing this kind of music (other than DT). I love his collaborations with Neal, and like Transatlantic, I'm sure this will be pretty kick ass. I'm looking forward to it!!
when masters can work together thats the true test of being a veteran player, and this works!
planet rock played atrack from this today, whenthe album comes oot, get ready to ring that till!!!
Holy balls I haven't been this jacked for a new musical project since Beethoven.
The 10 people that disliked this obviously don't know music!!! Idiots!!! What an exciting time to be a fan of these Musicians and MUSIC as well!!! All these guys are Monsters ,This is going to be great .
love the singing in this track :D cant wait :P
I saw the same studio setup in Transatlantic's Whirlwind documentary. (You can find it in TH-cam also. Also amazing!)
Neal Morse + Casey McPherson = Legendary lyrics.
I don't get it why some people still have this hate for Portnoy. Grow up he left DT with a lot of achievements and he continues to grow as a musician/drummer. this album is awesome!!! much respect from the uk!!!! portnoy is tearing up the drums!!! but everyone else is equally as good!! good work guys!!
Great project!!
Do we know what the first track played in this video is called yet? It's excellent!
@Wickydeviking not just a major influence. John Petrucci has stated that he is his favorite guitarist.
It was a shame that Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater, but Dream Theater kept on doing amazing music, and now we have another amazing band. Flying Colors.
It all ended up really well.
Love the line up....... Cannot get enough of NEal Morse and Portnoy. Although I dont know anything about the singer.
Really nice! Hope to see it at Brazil too :) the vocals sounds amazing, and I was missing Portnoy T_T
I'm here for Dave LaRue!!!!!! He should be the idol of all bass players!
Hope there will be a follow up album!!
left dream theater !! good job !!

i will see them in september the 17th. im very excited :D
I love music....from allll spectrums... and this is what I've been waiting for....yes!
Unless I'm mistaken, this is Mike Portnoy's first real "Rock & Roll" project. It's not too complex, and it's not a cover band.
Like I love Transatlantic, I'm seriously looking forward to this release. Sounds awesome to me
Steve Morse is enough reason to listen to this band.
One kick Cd! Be sure to buy this!!!
great proyect, and magic year to prog sound.
This is gonna ROCK!!!
Is there any more here on you tube for this band yet????
@SpartnPride I could not agree more. Portnoy is a bonus. The singer also sounds great. Dave LaRue is the fucking man. I'm so looking forward to this!
