This podcast tells the story many people experienced while in children’s homes remand centres etc and the abuse has destroyed their lives in all ways. What a brave man for speaking out and I agree that the prison sentence given to one of your abusers may have brought closure but it doesn’t give you back your innocence. Well done for your honesty and bravery x

What you could maybe touch on,is a term I coined "voice discrimination" wherein Glaswegians(everyday Scots) are encouraged to be 'polite' which is just plain English. A language which we inherited through force,not by choice.
Thus,when a person states ,'joe bloggs is a gentleman or polite' ,it really is just plain English and if you do not speak this foreign tongue correctly to a submissive degree,you are termed non conformist and anti authority.
Essentially,they use the language to make Scots( ordinary Glasgow folk) ' knuckle down'.
Certainly,many of us can relate to this.Discriminated in our own land,by judges,lawyers,whomsoever ,
regardless ,it leads to resistance on our part and oppression on theirs.
Keep up the fine work. Other locals have pods for apparent financial or fame motivated ,their prerogative.

My story is very similar to yours
St ninians, latchrgrove, st Mary’s longrigend, polmont when it was a borstal (east wing)
I got contacted by that enquiry about 3 years ago
I never asked them for fuck all
They contacted me
But it’s been nothing but a pain in the arse since they contacted me
Fucked about left right and centre
If you do start a group to call them out
Then I am in
Lady smith is on 3 million quid for her trouble not to mention umpteen other cunts and affiliates getting paid a fortune
It’s a joke
