Good rundown of the different focusing modes. I tend to use AF-C wide with auto tracking assigned to the fn1 button about 99% of the time. Makes it so quick and easy 🤙🏼
Thanks for sharing, that's something I haven't got dialled in quite right yet...I have the mode on fn1 if I turn the sub-selector dial and the area on the same button if I turn the main selector dial and I always get confused and change the wrong one!
@@My_Photography_Journey haha yeah I’ve done that too! 😂 I changed mine after watching a video from Omar Gonzales (on his Z6 I think). Along with back button focus, it almost feels like cheating! 🤙🏼
I am trying to assign one of the front buttons to 1) Focus Mode and 2) AF-area mode. Does this made sense. I can quickly swotch from single point yo continuous and then the type of area focus.
What have others asigned the front buttons to be used for? Have you made a video for these buttons ?
If I want to Rack focus or pull focus back and forth was setting should I use? Thank you.
I have this camera and for photography only the only flaw, for my uses, is the single focus point can not be locked such that hitting the rear screen or any buttons or joy stick won't move the focus point. I can't believe this was left off.
I must admit, that's not something that I have had a problem with, my main problem has always been accidentally moving the control ring on the lens and switching to manual focus or taking a lot of unnecessary pictures from touching the back screen accidentally!
How do you make the single point AF to stay in the center and not move to other areas of the screen? Thanks
I have mine set up so that when I press the OK button it goes back into the centre of the screen. In menu F3 I have it set to RESET in the Shooting Mode section. Then I can easily move it back to the centre
Thanks!!!

When I am on AF-C, I do not seem to get eye tracking on wide -L. Only full
Sorry for the slow reply! I will make a follow up video answering these questions in more detail than I can go in to here. Hopefully I can get that out at the weekend/early next week
@@My_Photography_Journey I'll watch out for it
It's sad that it doesn't have that wide area eye af like in Z6. :
I've never used the Z6 so can't compare, sounds like I'm best not knowing about it!!
Really liked your video clap 👏🏽
Thank you! 😃
