I do like the fact that when we see a cool shot of him walking, we know that he stopped, set up the camera, then staged himself walking, turned around and picked up the camera, then kept going. Dude is an excellent cinematographer on top of outdoorsman.

it's even more work to see him canoeing. He landed, framed it, went back out in the canoe and filmed it, then returned to grab the camera. Nice work! Dedication.

I grew up going to temagami every summer. Still go. My dad owns an island out there. Been in his family for over a hundred years. They used to canoe from mainland with all of their supplies to th e island. Now we have a 45 minute boat ride. The place is still entirely off grid. No showers. It’s the most special place in the whole world. Thanks for sharing.

What you've said in the end its spot on. Here in Argentina we have national parks but they are closed to the general public (you can only walk on short trails without leaving them and you can camp only in one or two areas at most, without making fire), and you cant go backcountry camping to other places because everything is private property surrounded by nasty wires and the owners will get you out of there with bullets and hunting dogs. Its a special thing what you guys have in canada and you should protect it at all cost and never let them (politicians and landlords) take it away from you. Loving your videos buddy!

What a beautiful and unique experience! I've always been an advocate of conservation of nature for nature's sake, but over the last few years I've started learning to fish and forage for food every day. I'm starting to realize now that a meaningful connection to nature that includes food is the real meaning of life. A lot of people are missing out on this essential part of being human these days and that's gotta change.

xander! not sure if you remember, but we met at the climbing gym in toronto! I guide canoe trips in temagami at the camp where you put in! I'm super familiar with all the places you went on this trip, makes me so happy to see you paddled in the area where i started canoe trips and now guide! also just wanted to share some info I learned this past summer about the people of this land. Your route travelled through Anishinabewaki and n'Daki Menan (meaning "our land"), the traditional territory of the Temagami First Nation and Teme-Augama Anishinabai (pronounced te-mee-aw-guh-muh)("deep water by the shore people") and Maple Mountain is known as Chee-bay-jing, which means "the place where the spirits go" anyways ya thanks for sharing your trip! Things i loved:
I love the fact that you canoed to a place got out, set up the camera and got back in the boat, paddled away and then paddled back to the camera!
    I loved the waterfalls
I love the fact that when you guys take a bath, you do the laundry at the same time
I love the fact that you are concerned about the bass populations
I love the fact that you take care of wherever you go no matter what.
I love scratches! She’s the best!
I loved the words at the end!

If I was starving in the woods, I would still pass them up.
A neighbor of mine was a mushroom expert. He and two other experts died eating forest mushrooms.

Found your channel on a whim and couldn't be happier! I'm on end of life care at home here in New Zealand. I'm 30 and have a terminal primary brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme. Your videos give me so much escapism I couldn't be more grateful for what you do. I always wished to visit Canada, basically don't need to thanks to you and your channel. Thank you - I appreciate what you do.

I've watched a lot of your videos and this is the best. Best bit is the footage in the waterfall. The sound of the water washing over you is incredible. I love watching your videos but I don't always wish I was there... but this one was different. That absolute final shot is incredible...have no idea how you got it.

    Wow Xander!❤
This video is (at present) is absolutely our number 1 🏆 "trophy favorite" of yours and my wife & I have seen 👀 A LOT of your videos! I'm pretty sure I will have to go there at some point. I've been down w/an injury all week and this video made me feel the best I've felt all week. Thanks man, thank you very much.😊👌👍
Like all outdoor folks I know of, "may the wind always be at your back"
    Until the next one, ....

Thank you for your videos Xander. They are done so professionally. I love the temagami area. I used to work as a Jr. Ranger in temagami and I did work on the tower watching for fires. That was in 1969. You had such an opportunity to meet Hap the legend
