    Love the channel love that bike and looking forward to finally buy one for myself next year. Gonna be a first one but I think 4 cylinder and linear power you get from that type of engine should work even with new motorcyclists.

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks bro glad you enjoy the content :) the power is linear and easily controllable. I’ve made a video about the traction control somewhere in the channel which will help you out in bad weather or loose gravel.
      And yea the power is linear which is good for new riders. It’s just the weight is a bit of a handful which requires a bit of practice and trust in the physics. Motojitsu has some useful advice and practices on how to make the bike feel weightless.
      Hope you get the bike as you’d most probably enjoy it. It can get quite fast if you push it hard tho just keep that in mind haha.

    So glad I found your channel, you give such chill and laid back vibes. I got myself the CB’s sister, the CBR650R so a lot of your content I find useful. Keep it up! :)

      Thanks for your comment and I’m glad there’s some useful stuff here for the community. I initially wanted the CBR650R but having come from a GSXR600 I had a realisation that I love the superbike inline 4 sound and feel but I really need to slow down… hence no wind protection is probably for the best for me.

    Love you videos bro, is there a comparison of 2022 and 2020 coming soon? 😏
    Previously owned a z1000sx 2010, looking to get something for daily and city rides. (Once in a while a long trip to thailand with friends)

      Thanks bro!! Wow that’s an idea I’ll try and get a hold of a 2022 model and try it out. The danger is that I might find it better than my 2020 model haha.
      This CB is suitable for daily rides. Maybe if you’re coming from a 1000cc you might feel there’s a delay in power in the 650 but for me it’s adequate for most things.

    Greetings from Denmark!
    I’ve been a big fan of the CB650 and your videos really do justice for motorcycle enthusiasts.
    I’ve been considering to get one, an upgrade form my 125cc Kawasaki dirt bike. Initially I wanted to get the Rebel 500 which was recommended to me by the dealer and I’ve sat on it and it felt light. I know it’s not made for speed, I do like cruisin but sometimes I want to rip some roads too
    Then I saw the CB and boy was it beautiful, those pipes under her was just decent 🥵
    Being a small dude (5’8 170lb) I get really insecure when I see big bikes and I haven’t sat on one but i was told it was rather heavy. I really want to get one and would you consider recommending it to an armature? Thanks

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there thanks for your comment you made my day! I think this 650 is a friendly bike for new riders and would be okay if you have riding experience on smaller bikes.
      You’re right the weight takes a bit of getting used to during slow manoeuvres. its 30kg heavier than my older bike which is quite a big difference. But then again the weight makes it stable once you get moving which is a nice feeling.
      On the weight part I don’t think it matters on the rider weight you shouldn’t have to wrestle it mostly it’s about technique and confidence. Try watching motojitsu videos he talks about it and gives advice a lot. I still have trouble with it and can’t turn full lock haha. Overall the bike itself isn’t intimidating don’t worry too much you’ll get used to it in a day especially having some experience riding bikes with gears. Hope that’s useful!

    Nice..! are you front trailbraking on this bike? Cant get the hang of it yet. and what do you do about the vibration in the handlebars? hands go numb sometimes. its my only complaint on this bike. rest is fantastic!

      also got the racetorx shifting thing on your recommendation. that little thing is a game changer

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I trailbrake sometimes. At least prepare to when I need to do it. It’s a great thing to learn really gives a lot of confidence in my riding. Motojitsu explains a lot on it.
      On the handlebar weights I had to take them out to install the bar end mirrors. Kinda made the vibration slightly worse but not terrible. Definitely can feel it on higher revs especially on this ride and I plan to have the inner weights reinstalled soon. But generally if you don’t have bar end mirrors you should get the heaviest bar end weights you can find it definitely helps. I did that to my Ducati monster which vibrates a lot.
