Ahhhj….such a sweet time that has slipped away. And Garrison ‘s beautiful spirit was at the center of it… his retirement is a loss to all - not to be replaced. 🥰😍😀
PHC is proof of the good warm heart at the bottom of this world. Hope the show will go on forever and ever. Four years ago I flew across the Atlantic to catch the show in Seattle. Two hours I'll treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you :))))

Not sure what behavior occured that caused the complaints against Garrison. As in many cases (Senator Franklin) we are convicting people publicly, then it goes away and we never find out....what happened, who to believe? I must say, as much as I am extremely against bad behavior, unfairness if any kind, it will not diminish what was achieved over 40 plus years of joy and happiness I gave enjoyed listening to PHC, attending shows, watching videos. Short of assault, or serious damaging act, I love what he has accomplished!
Amen brother, I consider Keillor (even though i completely disagree with his political views) as one of Americas greatest treasures, maybe the greatest, he's brought me more joy than all other entertainment combined. A true genius. Each book he's written were all magnificent. As great as Lake Wobegone was, Pontoon Boat was amazing. God Bless Garrison. If I could spend a day with anyone in history .. ....
There is no question as to Al Franken's behavior; it's on video. Keillor, however, appears to be an (innocent) victim of the rabid anti-male climate & knee-jerk cancel culture he helped his ideological colleagues create. It's a shame to lose such talent to political correctness, but the left eats its own unless there is lockstep conformity in word and deed.
Just heard this on the radio. Love it! I bought the MP3 version from the Duets 2 volume, but this version is far better because Masse's voice rings like a bell when she jumps an octave on "won-DRING", it just cuts through and evokes the emotion so powerfully it almost brings a tear to my eye. Also, Garrison's harmony is subdued and perfectly blended so that only the stronger notes come through clearly. On the album version there's less reverb and you hear both singers at the same volume level. Masse comes through too muted and Garrison is too loud. You hear the guitar, mandolin and other instruments at an equal level with the piano. Suffice it to say that this version here is far superior.
Heather, why wear such a revealing outfit when garrison is naturally right up on you during the duet and has to take his glasses off to not get in trouble publicly for what would come naturally to anyone..to look? That said, it was a beautiful duet.

I miss the show so much...
What a voice, that Heather! A lovely duet with Garrison. Just wish the spotlight had been more on Heather while she sang.
Heather has one of the most beautiful voice in the world. I kid you not. Her tone is warm and soothing!!

One of my favorite songs sung by my fav. artists.
Perfectly captures the dilemma of having a crush on a longtime and good friend. I should know. 😁 wish me luck.
This is why America was great.
Beautiful song. Beautiful performance.
"These dreams come passing through in lonely times..." Oh. My.
Someone is always thinking of you somewhere. 😃
She's got the voice of an angel!
and he's got the face of a bullfrog
Such a beautiful song. Saw a Prairie Home Companion show last night, wonderful!

the beautiful lady has a such great voice and the old man has a kind voice ha
beautiful lady, great voice indeed. And a wonderful rendition of a very pretty song.
The “old man” has a great voice-perfect for harmonizing.

Saturday’s are just not the same any more.
Damn. Between Heather’s voice and the pianist. 😢
Just heard this on "tonight's" show. Garrison's voice just sounds so good when harmonizing.
If You were mine…..
My goodness that song is beautiful. Sadly I'm struggling to find it anywhere else. Tell me this is on an album somewhere
It's on Prairie Home Companion Duets 2 or there is the original from the song's writer,Ann Reed on an album called Valentine Collection.
I just use you tube...special song for sure...
@@kingstumble thanks. i was struggling also.

it was a beautiful duet.
It's weird to watch this knowing all of the sexual harassment allegations brought against Garrison.
Heather Massee strongly defended him
Having s.h. allegations against you in 2023 just means:
A . you are a man
B. are famous
