Nice platter and that is some beautiful wood! Had a neighbor cut down a 42" diameter poplar that I unfortunately didn't get any of and by the pics made of it it would have made some beautiful pieces. It all wound up in the landfill. Keep turning these pieces as they look amazing!

I would only question the resin, as you did. I thing with shavings or even coffee grounds may have been better. No matter. Any prettier and you’d have to hide it away. Great work on this stunning piece.
Hi 👋, Tanya, I hope you are both keeping safe and well, That was a amazing peace ☮️ 😂, of wood turning, the grain looks amazing, I no the camera doesn’t give it justice, as I have machined, literally tens of thousands of pounds worth of Maple another type of wood, I worked for walkers organ building company in the 90s and early 2000s, making pedal boards and pedal sticks to go in the paddle boards, wooden pipes, et cetera, and of course it is all part of nature, something conduct, quite boring at one piece of board and you go three or 4 foot down the length of the board and it can look amazing, a great looking platter, stay safe, I look 👀 forward to seeing your next project, next Thursday, same time same place, 😂, Phil from the moulin France.
