      Some people with easily irritated skin change pillowcases nightly. Also lots of product encourages irritants to attach to the skin.

      @@irinareina it sounds like you may be suffering from trans epidermal water loss and that is why you were having acne a lot of people think that acne has to do with oily skin you can have acne if you were extremely dry as well that’s why I had my acne so I’m assuming when you used those silicone patches after you’ve done your skin care that’s sealing everything in and not allowing anything to evaporate you’re doing the right things just focus on moisturizing your skin and keeping your skin barrier health! ❤

      Neutrogena makes a Hydro Boost face mask that comes in two gel pieces and covers the whole face. I have not used it but it looks similar in videos. Maybe it can be used overnight, but you would likely still need the topper face mask that goes around your head or on your ears to keep it in place still

    It took me so long to fix my skin by healing the skin barrier. For years I tried every product (same as you-red light, Tretinoin, Paula’s Choice, BHA, the Ordinary chemical exfoliant, slugging with Vaseline) NOTHING worked. Finally, I started using a gentle cleanser, La Roche Posay Cicaplast as a moisturizer, a sulfur mask 3X week, and silicon patches to heal.
    I feel mislead from all those years in high school/college using harsh benzoyl peroxide and chemical exfoliants, which just made everything worse.

    If your skin barrier is damaged, go very simple with your skincare routine, try to find products with Ceramide or Allantoin, and like she said, never ever use exfoliating actives until your skin is healed. Hope it helps ❤
    Edit: oh and opt for physical sunscreen instead of chemical sunscreen!

      AGREE! Had problems with my skin barrier since about 10 month, I tried cica, panthenol, peptide, hyaluronic acid products, also rosacea related products with zinc... (not all at the same time tho xD) Nothing worked right. And then I picked up a random Ceramide cream, it was about 8 dollar on sale... AND IT WORKED, finally! That also was an instant result, my skin was soooo nice right after the first use, I was shocked. Now I use it every night as last step!
      If you have skin problems, you should give it a try!

    I think its important to mention that the thick cream isn't the right move for every skintype. I for example have Oily but still dry and sensitive skin wich is not compatible with thick cream. Instead you want to use a very light or even oil free gel. But appart from that I think this mask is a great way to let the moisturising get even deeper in your skin.

    • @irinareina
      @irinareina  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +24

      Yes! I agree, needed to mention that the texture can vary depending on skin type. You can even use the patches without anything, it is still working great!!!

      maybe your skin is dehydrated? also, how it's her resposiblity to mention every detail about a cream in case it doesn't work for someone? she just used what works for her. you find out what works for you. so silly

    • @Anna-X-
      @Anna-X- หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@evital0o0oThat's not silly at all. A lot of people will use whatever worked for someone else, just because they saw the amazing results. Some people are aware what is really going to do goods to their skin, but some will follow blindly and then blame the creator if no results show

    This makes sense! I am post acne and the amount of actives i used to treat it has damaged my skin barrier and cause my eczema to flare up. After a point i gave up and just started slugging to treat my immediate eczema problem. And while it was messy it helped so much, with zero actives, just a heavy moisturizer under vaseline. This mask will be less messier

    • @camrynstotesberry7363
      @camrynstotesberry7363 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What is slugging?

    • @lovrboi
      @lovrboi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      slugging is applying a thick occlusive product (usually petrolatum based- vaseline, for example) as your final step in your PM skincare routine. it essentially seals in and amplifies whatever products you applied underneath it. it can be great for locking in hydration overnight and helping to heal your skin barrier, but you have to be careful to not use active ingredients when you do it (retinoids especially, for example) because amplifying the affects of those on your skin is dangerous and can very easily lead to irritation

      @@Hiimjess8 yeah I tried that when I finally accepted that I can’t tolerate tretinoin. I guess by that point, my barrier was to disrupted for adapalene. I can’t even tolerate low percentages of retinal, even after months of no use of any active ingredients. It’s great when it works, but it definitely can damage your skin long-term when you don’t be careful. Guys remember Irritation is not necessarily a sign that it works.

      I tried to blow on patches, but they are flying away 😂 you have to dry them sticky side up, so other side is not sticky and not secured. maybe on very low settings and cool air, because hot can damage them I think

      Wait wait! This is not to heal acne, it is to heal skin barrier from using too much anti acne products.
      Just patches itself won’t fix acne, but it would fix post acne and help heal skin from actives(tretinoin, acids)
      My skin was damaged with actives, that I used for a long time and silicone patches helped to heal it.
      But I also do a lot to treat the cause of acne (in my case it is PCOS): diet, sport, stress management. My acne are going away because of this, but patches are helping with the texture, post acne and overall look of the skin.

    I healed my skin accidently by trying nasal spray as a "cream". Also tried everything else over the last years - nothing worked! But since I read about dexpanthenol and vit. B5 (pantothenic acid) and it's healing benefits for acne, I tried my Bepanthen nasal spray on tiny spots that didn't wanted to heal in a long time. Didn't expected anything from this experiment. And the next day, I could remove the upper layer of skin and a shiny rose skin tone was under it. 😮 Since then, I use this spray right after cleaning and toning in the whole face. Nothing more. And my skin is getting better and smoother and softer every day ☺️
    This would definitely NOT work with any other nasal spray, since this one is formulated very minimalistic. And the dexpanthenol is for sure the most important ingredient. Perhaps I am deficient in this nutrient? Next purchase at amazon will be vit.B5-capsules ✌🏼

    • @irinareina

      I was breaking out from COVID masks. But it also because of the environment. I think if you wash your face and wash patches before it won’t have bacteria to spread. You can also use high frequency wand or blue LED lights to kill the acne causing bacteria before applying the patches.
      But I also heard that dermatologists don’t recommend using “slugging” with very oily skin, because pores can clog. So if your skin is very oily, maybe it’s better use salicylic acid

      I use them for 3 days in a row, then take a break for some days. You have to clean them before each use, but at some point, you probably need to replace them. They can break if you are not careful 😌
