I dont know what your long-term plans are, but no matter how rust free, i would have scuffed, primed and painted anything between the tank and bed. I live in the rust belt, so that is a necessity. Great video. Love the sound od an Offy intake/header combo in a 300-6.
Thanks for the video. Trying to get a 76 f100 road worthy 300 in line. Can't get it to run quiet right. Probably going to replace intake, exhaust and carb, and hopefully that will do the trick.
Great video Aaron thanks for sharing. Looking at doing the exact same setup for my 1978 4.9 long bed. Could you provide the link for the exhaust and GM style linkage adapter? Thank you!
Can you explain why you installed a dual exhaust on this truck? Also I have a 78 F100 300/6 short bed and I’m having a hard time finding anyone who knows anything about tuning the carburetor. I’m in CA and need to get it smogged this year. Any ideas?
in general i think trucks require about 1" exhaust pipe per 100 HP Assuming yours is still under or around 200hp SO dual 2 inch is good for 400HP, lol SO realistically you could /should run your 2 collectors into a 2 in 1 exit of about 2 or 2.25 output size maybe this is why so many inline 300 are dogs, they sacrificed alot of area under TQ curve for some tiny upper Hp gains
Thanks for sharing these videos, I really enjoy watching you do a budget build. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for the truck before shipping it to the east cost? I live in California and have been looking to buy a truck like this but see a big range of prices. This truck is a perfect project truck!
My favorite truck made 79 f 100 !!!
Same but I'm stuck with a 81 f100
Great videos....I just got my 78 f250 and looking forward to starting on it. I am in Oregon so cool to see yours was a local truck as well!!
9:22 I use a chop saw
thatell do it

Ive got true duals on my 300 sounds pretty decent. The later models had factroy manifolds split into 2 outlets

How much was this budget build?? I have F100 300 also.. I can't find part 3...
just wanted to let you know if you leave the exhaust open like that it will eventually make your bed rust out quicker
