One of my fav movie but I don't really understand the hype around his acting in it, he's doing his thing don't get me wrong but there isn't much acting going on, he's mostly just perfectly casted but not much to see especially for an Oscar winning performance

Taxi Driver is one of the all-time greatest movies, not just De Niro movies.
Such a deep dive into the human condition and our society and it's done in such a flawless and entertaining way.
As soon as I hear that seductive saxophone music I'm transported into his world again.

Raging Bull was a masterpiece!I can see how Robert takes a lot of pride in that film.
Taxi Driver is not only my favorite Robert De Niro film, but it is also one of my most favorite films ever. I watched it in a pretty tough times of my life, and Travis left a deep impression on me. I don't think anything or anyone can touch my core like this film did.

Terrifying I think is a bit much it’s a biopic of a boxer not really a horror film, it is very intense though and combines beautiful silent family scenes with brutal boxing brawls…

Robert DeNiro is one of the greatest actors of our time. Everything he's done has been brilliant, especially his work in Scorsese films. They just seem to bring the best out of each other.
His character in "The Mission" is my favorite. The man is a legend.

Meet The Parents is underrated
Awakenings. I was 10 years old when I first saw it, with my mother. I could not believe he was an actor, I thought he was a real person. I found out who he was and has been my favourite actor all the way. Men of Honor, Heat, Godfather 2, The Mission, everything he touches is gold!
Once Upon a Time in America, to me, shows DeNiro at his best.
It is a flawless performance.

Também achei! Nos últimos anos me parecia um tanto viciado na repetição de personagens e expressões faciais próprias do que se chama de canastra. O melhor De Niro para mim é o da juventude. O de Táxi driver é O touro domado e, um pouco adiante, no papel do famoso produtor da Metro, morto ao 37 anos, se não me engano, numa história de Scott Fitzgerald. Em parte, depois disso, acho que a carreira confundiu-se com a de Scorsese sempre a volta com as personagens da Máfia. E agora, com o mesmo Scorsese, também numa virada, teve recebeu um personagem onde felizmente não repetiu aquela risadinha de olhos apertados e boca arrebanhar. Estava mais denso e concentrado, sem aqueles exageros já esperados por seus fãs.
Olson Welles, aliás, numa entrevista, declarou que sua canastrice não era culpa sua mas pedido de seus produtores que lhe pediam pra carregar um pouco naquilo que seus fãs esperavam dele...
Espero que isso explique um pouco na construção da persona de muitos atores e atrizes o papel dos produtores em atendimento dos fãs!

I love all of his work that he’s well known for but hardly no one ever talks about “A Bronx Tale”. He was amazing in that movie. Well, I think he’s amazing in everything he does. I haven’t seen a bad Robert Deniro movie.
He directed this movie. It was his directorial debut. Chaz Palmentari, who acts opposite of him, wrote the script.
Bronx Tale what a great film, agreed so many great roles.
I always liked him as a Al Capone in the Untouchables. He did a lot to prepare for that movie.

He obviously has many roles that are memorable and quotable but his performance in 'Mean Streets' just gave me the chills. He was so unpredictable in it. Quite underrated.

Humility is always tantamount with "greatness"; and to say all of his films are masterpieces (especially as as I know I've seen more than you have) is palpable nonsense.
My favorite film he's in is Godfather 2. He's not the star, but he's great in it.

Raging Bull and Godfather 2 are probably his two best, but Raging Bull for me takes it. He plays a monster yet makes him sympathetic. Plus he got fat for it.

Boy, have you got that right! Mean Streets costarring Harvey Keitel was a very impressive sample of what was to come along with DeNiro's later collaborations with Martin Scorcese. So many incredible performances.

I just watched that movie. It was a real good movie. My favorite is still goodfellas now followed by midnight run. The pay phone scene where he threatened to throw his prisoner in the swamp was my favorite. For some reason I lost it when he shook his head no and said "not really" to him

I have a sister who says he's the WOAT, which of course he isn't. She has always had extreme opinions. Instead of saying she didn't like him in this movie or that movie, it's "he's the worst actor of all time." My favorite role of his would definitely be the younger Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II.

Now I'm not arguing with u I just want to point out that in my humble opinion Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp film deserved nominations while I was not a fan of Tombstone. My point is that as a fan of realistic remakes or retelling of historical events KC n his version of Earp n all that happened was dead on from all the transcripts from the court appreances. Not to bore u to death but for buffs of this incident and that time in history, in future centuries wen looking back I believe that Jeff Guinns The Last Gunfight will be regarded as THE comprehensive report/paperwork OR ANY such writing on that period in American History. In my humble opinion wen all bs is shoveled thru and we get thru the whole "The guys that wore the white hats were the good guys... AND the man who wore black was evil" bullshit we will see history in it's truest form and finally able to admit as well as mature enough to understand exactly wat the comman men like my Papi and his Papi were tryin to explain. From here to the others side of the World and back again, not every good man has nothing but good in him and not every bad man is full evil intentions. Yes, there are many exceptions but for the most part no. I make nothing from suggesting Guinn's book or Costner's flick BUT if u want no bs type of entertainment those 2 r it. If u want big Hollywood type lines and over acting well then Tombstone is it. No disrespect intended. But yes I must say although Quaid did wonderfully as Doc Holiday, Kilmer and his method acting was not matched and as far as The Doors movie, it's ridiculous that Val was overlooked. No excuses. They were pathetic and scared to nominate him or anything Oliver Stone related. Denzel and Ethan, director n supporting cast as Training Day itself ALL changed Hollywood permanently. In that 1 way for the best. They grew balls n decided to give the evil guys or at least the Grey between Black AND White, their up comings!!!
