Love the color, love the manual gearbox! It isn't as fast as the ZF8 speed but you'll surely get a more engaging experience! It's not always about how fast but about what it makes you feel.
Great video! Just some little good advice: when stopped stick it into neutral instead of keeping your foot on the clutch. The diaphragm spring may lose some tension over time due to that.

After 300k of drivinglessons the clutch in my 1.6tdi is still fine, they all keep their foot on the clutch and arent exactly gentle with it either. Honestly the wear in your gearbox from putting it into neutral might be even worse...

@12:15 you don't need to steer first to the right when driving a left curve..i had several times drivers that did the same and i have been the driver on the right lane passing by - that's not funny if there are a few centimeters car by car. remind that if you do that the next time. anyway great car and color!

Love these M3 G80s with the 6-speed manual. If I had to give my Type R up I would happily take one of these baddies. We need more manual cars in the world! Dual clutch and automatic just don't do it for me... doesn't matter how fast the car is, if it's automatic I just don't want it.

DME are LOCKED on these cars.
Bench unlock is required and something like Race Chip as a "first" attempt is fine....
@@amessad there is a new version on the Bosch dme that I’ve only seen one group claim they have unlocked and that group is not offering the unlock yet. Luckily my car has the old Bosch dme and it can be bench unlocked.
i agree, but these newer DMEs are lock currently.

und nicht bei 96-97 GPS.

Great video and really nice that you're driving a 6MT G80. I see that RaceChip is your sponsor and that is cool for you, of course. However, I have to say that I personally am not the biggest fan of RaceChip tuning. You know there are better alternatives that engage directly in the ECU, allowing for much more in-depth optimization. Just my two cents, but I think it would be interesting if you could present other tuning options in future videos. Thanks and keep up the good work mate 🙂

Just a little tip: PLS put the car in neutral when you are standing at a red light. It’s not good for the clutch to hold it a long time.

Love the Racechip, got it in my i30 1.4tgdi and it makes a big difference (via app race mode, fine tuned to top performance), simple unmount before service check, no warranty void :)
get a proper tune once warranty runs out. Much better for the engine too.

Hi guys, How do you think car will handle with an i=plung an play intercooler/K&N Air filter inside his own box? After 650hp how clutch will hold in time?! Maybe upgrate to Sachs Performance?

I really hope that this time around they will actually keep 650hp on map 7 and not tune it down claiming that us “idiots” will complain once we start experiencing wear and tear as a result of this tune 🤪🤷♂️

And it seems to work pretty okay...so why not? They obviously have good experience with racechip, it is not expensive....don't see a problem. When it is possible the can still do a complete remapping.
@@barliner_m340i5 piggyback chips are pretty shit preposition in general. They do "work", but only because they lie to the ECU. ECU actually has no idea how much boost the engine is actually making, because chip is messing with those signals.
@@hojnikb It's pretty cool that this morons do tuning with this crap from Race Chip and other fake tuning crap. In my opinion, they should tune such cars to the limits of this boxes and cars, so that in 3 - 4 years many people in third world countries will be happy about some cheap M3s, M4s and AMGs because of broken engines and transmissions. They will fix them and use them as their dailies 👍. Keep up the good work and kill your cars for a better life in poorer countries.

We have a 2014 Audi Q7 SLine, intake , res deleted n x-pipe put in its place. Throttle controller. Was looking at race chip S series for our Q7? Would you recommend it, and would it make a difference that’s noticeable?

Did they drastically change the transmission since the F80? People were putting a lot more torque through that clutch than what the M3C is producing.
Context: I have my M3 base on a boat on it's way to Port Hueneme now and absolutely plan on tuning it to M3C levels at some point soon
Money to afford an m3. But not the money to upgrade the clutch and get a custom ecu tune.
530HP is competition stock RWHP.
100-200 (62-124mph) is fast at 7.39. I just watched a video of the new Tesla Plaid. It did a 60mph-120mph in 3.84. The McClaren 765LT does that in 4.1. Wrap your head around that. Mind boggling.

Don't be a baby.... people have been tuning manual transmission cars for decades and the clutch & transmission holds up just fine. Manufacturers are always going to err on the side of caution.
