    Awesome, I'd like to buy this for my car. I just got MAD catless downpipes + 3.5" single midpipe installed. The car's an animal, but I'd actually prefer a valve controller to keep those valves SHUT at almost all times. When they're closed in eco mode, it's the perfect sound to me, after my exhaust mods.

      Nice!
      I have MAD catless downpipes pending install. So I’m curious to see how loud it gets. But having the ability to close the valves is great

    Thanks for the vid! I might try just unplugging the connectors with the valves in the fully open position first to see if I don’t mind living with no ability to put it into quiet mode for a while. Worked for my F-Pace SVR without any highway drone but I’m thinking the I-6 might drone a bit if it’s always stuck with valves open haha…we’ll see.

      You can certainly put the car in sport mode, rev it until the valves open, and then unplug them. They will stay open, however, the stock settings do not allow the valve to be FULLY open. You'll see that its only about 3/4 open. With this valve controller, it forces the valves completely open. And obviously also offers the ability to close them with the push of a button.

    Great video! When you use the remote to close the valves, does this essentially put the car into normal/stock mode where the valves will open and close independently depending on the driving mode you are in? Also, when you have the valves fully open via the remote, do you still get the pops and bangs on lift off in M1/2 mode? Keep up the good work!

    • @accelerated_motion
      @accelerated_motion  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct - that is exactly how it operates. You also still get the natural burbles in M1/M2 modes. My car is tuned now so I was able to increase the burbles to my liking.

  • @wreilly09
    @wreilly09 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thanks for the video! I personally cannot hear TOO big of a difference. The idle is where it seems to change the most. The flow of fluid between a 3/4 open valve and a fully opened one would be minimal. It won't be anywhere near loosing 25% of flow. I DO like that they stay open and don't shut at idle, though. Just not sure if that's enough for me to no longer have it integrated into my M1 and M2 buttons (pairing to garage door opener would help a bit).

    • @accelerated_motion
      @accelerated_motion  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is certainly noticeable outside of the car. Its even more noticeable with an aftermarket exhaust and catless downpipes. The difference between valves open and closed is much more significant in terms of volume.

      I dont unfortunately. Loudness is hard to capture on video. I will say, when paired with an exhaust and/or downpipes, the switch from valves closed to valves open is much more drastic. Especially from outside the vehicle. Much more noticeable.

      For me, it does scratch the itch of getting a new exhaust. I was actually surprised at how much louder the car got with the valves completely opened. It actually sounds pretty decent now. Especially if your vehicle is a lease, you can easily revert back to stock in a matter of minutes. And a lot of these valve controllers require wiring into the trunk for a power source. This is also why Dahler's version is so much better/easier. It just plugs into the factory harness under the car and everything is mounted out of sight underneath.
