I like the Power HD trx-4 steering servo. It's metal gear and it's faster than the Traxxas 2065x. I also had to replace the original servo because it stripped lol.
Steering servos always seem to be a weak point in rc cars, especially 1/10 scale and smaller. Maybe it's because of the lower price point of rtr vehicles, but who knows.
Your right! They have to keep costs down to make the entry point affordable. If they included all possible upgraded parts the RTR kit would be more than double the cost.
I had the same servo problem with my Teton, it's always the same two gears also. I bought the metal gear kit for it and it did the trick!

What should I get Teton prerunner or rally? I also have 2 upgraded stampede and rebuilding e maxx
