I’d call the police in a heartbeat parents get way too many passes when it comes to hurting their kids,she was absolutely right to call because if it was a stranger people wouldn’t have this “oh don’t call the PoLICE “ no her parents are horrible they even tried to shame and guilt her into not leaving so they could put the debt in her name so it was PLANNED they never gave a damn about how it would affect her future
She did the right thing. Morally, ethically, and any other lly that may apply. They ruined her life for she could have one. College is off the table. Meaning a shot at a good paying job is also more likely than not off the table. Shw cant get a car. If she does the interest rate will be heaven high. 20% plus. She cant get an apartment. Meaning she will have to live with someone without her name on the lease. They can put her out when they feel like it. She'll be pay check to pay check for the foreseeable future. She will be paying that debt off well into her 30s. Im just not seeing how she can have a "really good life"
so she should just take what they dish and deal with it. These dudes are not serious. you never know what you will do until it happens to you.
