Make a video on the LIGHT RIFFLE!. Such a big change from Halo 4 to Halo 5. How it functioned as a 3 shot burst then a single shot dmr when scoped in. Then H5 just goes and scraps the bullet projectile format.
Halo 4 Needler is the GOAT, that thing was immensely effective compared to the rest of the series. It was meant to be the Covenant mirror to the SAW after all, so it had to have some value as a power weapon.
I remember when I was around 8 my brother and his friends were playing halo 2. They let me play and I picked up the needler for the first time. At that moment, I fell in love with Halo.
One of the most underappreciated thing about the Halo 5 Needler is the particle effect it has when the needles spike out of the weapon on a reload, as a long time Needler fan that design choice is just 🤤to me
"Grunts can violently explode the player with a few well placed shots." So you don't like fuel rod grunts, right? Because they can violently explode the player in 1 well placed shot.
Funny enough the reason I started playing halo was at a friends house when I was younger and seeing him dual wielding needlers in halo 2. It was too cool and way different from the army man fps games I saw before that. I asked if I could play around with it for a while and I ended up staying the night because we coop'd the whole campaign. After that I grabbed 2 and CE for my xbox and the rest is history.
I think the Halo 2 Needlers were the best incarnation. It has one of, if not the strongest supercombine damage output, the dual wielding pushed it to 900 RPM worth of needles and this specific model has a rich story in the Halo community. Thanks you Walshy for your great service to the humanity.
I recently played Haro Reach with the Tilt skull, and it made covenant shields a real big pain, but this is when the needler came to the rescue, being able to shred brutes in the final mission was a must
this, the disc launcher from TRIBES, and the hivehand from half-life are my favorite "weird" video game weapons. wish they would do more weapons in modern shooters like that.
Just finished playing through CE on Legendary with my friend. Killing entire waves of Flood with Super-Combine + the Boom skull is some of the most chaotic fun I've ever had.
YES! Yes!! LateNite, you have no idea how much we are all rejoicing at the fact that you finally made this video. Love it, such a unique weapon deserves, such an excellent video.
Having played reach/1/2, my favorite version is the halo 2 needler so far, and for one main reason: dual wielding on Legendary. It's hard enough to avoid not dying on legendary, but being able to run between cover and just spamming dual needlers to track targets and do the work for you while you focus on not dying is a huge help. Was one of my goto weapons after the Beam rifle/beamsword, especially on High Charity with all of its narrow hallways and rooms.
In Halo 2 online, the needler was one of my weapons of destruction. Dual Wielded and fine timing of pressing both triggers could make it fire very fast. I remember experimenting with that with much success.
See now, that bio mechanical Needler would have actually been pretty damn cool. I love the red crystals and general look. I however also hated that giant clusterfuck of biomass that was the harvester
Halo CE Needler is my favorite in terms of design, the blue crystals coming out purple made it seem almost magical to me but still technological It always fascinated me
Halo 2's Needler did have one application. It was amazing at taking out Brutes. I usually have two Needlers and a Carbine on my back when I play through Gravemind and it makes Legendary less painful to play through.
The combat evolved needle was always kind of the coolest to me. The blue Crystal's have such a sci fi look to them, and visually fit with the halo ce covenant aesthetic. and as a kid I always figured them turning pink was the result of some type of energy being applied that caused them to fly/follow enemies.
I got my first xbox in high school: a 4 gb storage 360. Reach was my first trip into halo, and i didnt have internet at the time, so I played the campaign and solo firefight for hours on end. The needler was my go to weapon on my first playthrough, along with the needle rifle.

Me: *Happiness noises*
Uselessbanana15 LNG is so annoying he just shit talks with his nerdy emotional voice

@@skizy7 ok my nigga? I wasn't trying to be funny
Uselessbanana15 your dad probably names you useless
Make a video on the LIGHT RIFFLE!. Such a big change from Halo 4 to Halo 5. How it functioned as a 3 shot burst then a single shot dmr when scoped in. Then H5 just goes and scraps the bullet projectile format.
Never talked about my favorite incarnation the needle rifle, that thing is always a blast to use.
Love this series!
Halo 4 Needler is the GOAT, that thing was immensely effective compared to the rest of the series. It was meant to be the Covenant mirror to the SAW after all, so it had to have some value as a power weapon.
"NOOOO! YOU CAN'T USE THAT TRASH GUN! USE SOMETHING ELSE OR WE'RE GONNA LOSE!!"
*haha needle go boom*
I remember when I was around 8 my brother and his friends were playing halo 2. They let me play and I picked up the needler for the first time. At that moment, I fell in love with Halo.
Luv ur content man keep doing what you're doing much love ❤️❤️❣️❤️
One of the most underappreciated thing about the Halo 5 Needler is the particle effect it has when the needles spike out of the weapon on a reload, as a long time Needler fan that design choice is just 🤤to me
"Grunts can violently explode the player with a few well placed shots."
So you don't like fuel rod grunts, right? Because they can violently explode the player in 1 well placed shot.
Funny enough the reason I started playing halo was at a friends house when I was younger and seeing him dual wielding needlers in halo 2. It was too cool and way different from the army man fps games I saw before that. I asked if I could play around with it for a while and I ended up staying the night because we coop'd the whole campaign. After that I grabbed 2 and CE for my xbox and the rest is history.
the assault rifle is actually the least unique since it's basically a downgraded famas
I always thought it looked more like an F2000 but if it isn’t on CS or cod it doesn’t exist.
I think the Halo 2 Needlers were the best incarnation. It has one of, if not the strongest supercombine damage output, the dual wielding pushed it to 900 RPM worth of needles and this specific model has a rich story in the Halo community. Thanks you Walshy for your great service to the humanity.
My favorite weapon, first one I got a kill on my friend. Brings back memories when he did have 5 kidneys.
Stolen Memes what are you on
Lmao * memories
Stolen Memes damn straight
I wish you would touch the topic of sound changes between them because I feel it’s a really important part of how the weapon feels
Ammo: never engough
I recently played Haro Reach with the Tilt skull, and it made covenant shields a real big pain, but this is when the needler came to the rescue, being able to shred brutes in the final mission was a must
Even after so many years, we still don't know how it reloads.
blamite is weird stuff
This is actually my favorite weapon from the Halo series! I love this weapon because of it's looks and the flashy effects.
Nobody:
ODST:
Baby Needler
Baby Needler
The Halo 2&3 needles is my absolute JAM 24/7.
this, the disc launcher from TRIBES, and the hivehand from half-life are my favorite "weird" video game weapons. wish they would do more weapons in modern shooters like that.
From my Halo CE Custom Edition days, the needler brings a smile to my face
I now can’t stop thinking of the needler in ODST, lil needler 😂😂
Nice to see that your back keep up the good work
This video is so good it popped up in my reccomended twice
I love these evolution of characters and weapons videos. Please keep making them! Thank you!
The needler:my favorite weapon and also the weapon I think of first when it comes halo weapons
Lets be honest. We dont want to admit it but halo 4’s needler sound is more than satisfying
After the bit about the accuracy of game model sizes, I now want to see a Spartan with a full size binary rifle.
Excellent video. Your content is always high quality.
I really like how the ce needler looks. The clear crystals have a green mist inside which is really nice to look at.
Halo CE Needler is my favorite in terms of design, the blue crystals coming out purple made it seem almost magical to me but still technological
It always fascinated me
Halo 2's Needler did have one application. It was amazing at taking out Brutes. I usually have two Needlers and a Carbine on my back when I play through Gravemind and it makes Legendary less painful to play through.
Growing I never gave it a time of day…but when you mature you begin to appreciate and what nothing but it
The combat evolved needle was always kind of the coolest to me.
