- I have always wanted to make the journey to explore this island and the surrounding reef. Weather has top be good to do big journeys in a small boat but when it's right, it's out of this world! Amazingly clear water and a real adventure! This is part 1 of 2 of a living from the ocean Catch and Cook adventure👌

Bro, I have been following your channel since the beginning of Covid 19 and I must say that you have really upgraded from losing your job and now an amazing content creator, from standing on the skiff covering miles at sea to now a full fledge boat going on expedition. Do you know how many men's dreams you are living. Keep up the good work, Rod. Cheers from.Canada
And women's!!! And blessings from Alabama!
Second that...cheers from Canada. I hope to do this one day! And Rod the colours and detail are popping..may be a new camera set up?
@@greatwhitenorth3717 Cheers from Romania. Might I add that these vids come when it's autumn/winter here and that adds to the coolness.
I totally agree. Only one thing wrong with all your videos. They have to come to an end.
Sometimes I forget the world is a beautiful place. Love the vids!
I agree, wonderful places, great cinematographic Videos 👍Rod thankyou !
indeed👌
As someone who is landlocked and only 2 years ago first saw the ocean, I think the ocean is one of the most beautiful things we have on the planet. Just went back to the ocean a few weeks ago and it was every bit as great as the first time. I NEED to move by it.
I find it crazy there are people that havent seen it, i grew up in New Zealand where the ocean is everywhere and its normal to me. Glad you have atleast seen it, its my second home @Quake120
Rod, your film making is something to be proud of!
Better known as, “Rod Jaq-“Faux” Cousteau. 😂
I love all your content. But, the spears are my favorite. At first I thought the underwater clicks and pops were annoying, but after you explained what they were I was fascinated. Now I listen just to see how much life is around you.
Keep em coming. Cheers from Texas USA.
Cheers mate, some better spearfishing in part 2 coming next week👌
Funny how we all have our fave bits. Don’t love the spearing but love the boat camp fish parts 🙌🏻
What are the clicks and pops? I wondered about that.
@@rusty8992 fish and different sea life. Think birds and insects in the woods. Ambient sound basically.
Absolutely gorgeous mate. Thank You from hurricane ravaged Tampa Bay, FL.
Hope your doing ok mate, looked pretty crazy over you way🤙
No better way to end my Friday night than an adventure with Rod. 🏝️🐟
Just back from the Eastern Sierra, some fishermen asked if they could access the creek thru my campsite. I said sure and they treated me to their fresh caught trout poached in creek water with spices and pomegranate seeds. Delish. Thanks for the vid, they're always entertaining.
I was just out in Mammoth. Fall colors are strong right now.
Once again, food for the soul. Thank you.
Always a good watch for a Saturday morning. Have a great day mate!
Always enjoyable viewing, a beautiful part of Oz. Thanks Rod.
Wow! What an amazing location ~ beautifully clear waters and soft sand, it was so inviting! You find wonderful places in the great wide open, Rod. You must have an amazing "photo book" by now. That would be a table top book we would purchase. 💖😎🍷🍷
I love watching your channel grow brother. Cheers to another great adventure.
Another classic RokKit Kit adventure
Thanks and Appreciation from New York. Respect the time, effort, $, and getting the good shots. Feels like a different planet from my beaches.
Brother, your videos are so much fun and so well done. Stay safe Rod!
Incredibly clear water! The snorkeling footage was epic, the visibility was amazing. These come out on Friday nights here, I stop on my way home, buy some beer and good eats just to enjoy your video with. The video quality is always great but this one was especially so, on a 32" UHD monitor right in front of me like being on the front row at the theater. It's the next best thing to being there. Thanks as always, can't wait for the next one! Take care.
What a rad spot. Love the sound of the birbs. Looks like nice time of year to be there.
Not a bad spot to sit and watch the tide roll in, thats for sure Rod. Love the videos dude!
I get so excited whenever I see them sea turtles😀
Thanks Rod, quality content as usually. I really appreciate what you do. Cheers.
What a beautiful part of the world to be!
A nice "standard" video. Everything does NOT need to be pedal-to-the-metal in this day/age. It was wonderful to see the clear water, for a nice change....
Had my little 1450 a month now 😍 SUCH a great boat for the size 🎉
Feels like the divers perspective from Finding Nemo! Awesome video
Another incredible spot Rodney 🏆 cinematics were first class. You definitely are loving life mate. Survival trips are your speiclty. Take care no more injuries.
Haven't watched yet but wanted to say that intro was so serene and beautiful I was looking for a skip ad button. 😅😮
Epic spot! Cheers Rod!
Simply stunning!
You my favorite fishing show❤. I love watching your camping trips.
Well… you hit Bird Island. In case of no fish - Island chicken it is!🙌🏽😆
Great to see you consider bird breeding grounds when selecting a campsite. Oyster Catchers (the walkers) breed over spring and summer if I remember but those islands play host to so many local species and from around the world too. Kudos 👍
Yeah it's great that he considered the birds, but unfortunately camping outside the designated camping area on Mast Head island isn't setting a good example for viewers. Nick Fry and Miller Wilson do the same thing. Go to an island with designated camping areas, then walk to the other side of the island, make their own camping area and pretend they're the only one on a 'deserted' island.
That water 👌🏼
Mate! Such beautiful places! Have fun Rod!!
The man is fearless he didn't even check the trees for Drop bears!
You never check for drop bears!!! That’s when they drop and get stuck on your face. Just know they are there and never look straight up at the trees and you won’t have a problem. Sadly I’ve lost too many good friends from them not being able to resist😢
@@rokkitkit Safety first Rod, safety first!
Loved the intro music...great content
Love the idea of boating out to a deserted island without food...forcing dependence on getting 'local cuisine'
Another viewer that's been with you since CovidCrapola ...love your videos...many thanks Rod
Aren't turtle's such an amazing creature so chill. I used to take scuba divers through bait reef the dive site was called the stepping stones. The big turtle's used to sleep at the bottom of the sea floor. at night 🤙🏼
Parrot Fish fillet fried with plain flour pepper and salt and mashed potatoes and steamed veggies with white sauce. My Favourite Dish. In Aitutaki Cook Island’s Parrot Fish is Number 1 .
I did almost decide to get a parrot fish, but ended not doing it. I’m not against taking a parrot here and there and they are plentiful in my area. But not this time👍
Excellent video and commentary as usual. Kiwi Tim
Nice peaceful trip 😊
amazing video as always :) thank you for sharing and inspiring!
Amazing. Respect 👌
No chili. No ginger. No lime. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? luv the vid
I love this intro style, keep it up rod
Hi rod, you can get some pans that are made by Webber I think they are made to fit in Their barbecues but I find them really useful as they are rectangular and a bonus, the hand is detachable which is really good for storage. Just a recommendation as i saw the fish didn’t fit in the pan and It reminded me. Great video
Dude what a choice spot
I Was wondering when you where going to take out your Boat again. Good to see ya Mate !!
That first 1:12 seconds intro was epic
Please for the love of god Rod just keep some shoes on your boat lol
At first it looked like the Philippines with the clear water, then north Queensland, I was watching for sharks, thanks.😊
NICE catch n cook!
If I could, I’d give 100 thumbs up
Nice relaxing vlog.
we dont mind 1hour and half videos rokkit, just so you know lol , great vid man
You might need a pair of boat crocs. Leave it in the boat.
Not a safe place to fly the drone huh? The Insta360 x3 on the selfie stick is a nice addition to your cameras. I've got 1 I take on dive trips as well.
Actually had a large osprey hit my drone in Raja Ampat!
Opens TH-cam, clicks subs, RoKKit video, it's a good day!
I Don't normally ask questions like this , just sit and enjoy the video.
Roughly what is the cost of these jaunts ?
I used to run a little centre console here in Thailand for fishing trips for myself alone and with the real lack of any fish close to shore it got expensive, even looking after the motor and the maintenance myself.
I had to give the boat up eventually, a 16 footer wasn't big enough for the distances you had to go to find a fish worth catching.
Keep them coming though I sit here envious of your catches.
Awesome
Hell yea!!
Nice until you encounter the Sea Dragon Leviathan... Should be good in The Shallows though😋
Love your videos and the snorkeling but I have to ask, do you ever get worried about Great whites or other sharks just appearing? Would be my biggest fear. Keep up the great work!
Glad to watch w no power after hurricane milton w a power bank to cell.. wish I had the gas stove about now.. candle heated cheff boyardee makes me wish for a fried fish w adobo stuffed in the cuts.
Keep a couple of cans of tuna and a few packs of instant noodles …
Did anyone else see the skull at the 15:30 mark?
That was your wild imagination my friend.
I know people have said it before, but man, you make good videos. The one contributing thought I have is I wonder why you don't have an electric motor for backup for when the petrol runs out, maybe you can let me know the run down on that, but I don't know a lot about electric boat motors. Thanks for the videos brother!
I do have an electric motor, it’s the big white thing on the front left of the bow of the boat👍 you will see me use it in the next video👍
@@rokkitkit Figures I would ask right before you show it off lol. Nice.
waaw NICE Intro
Rod greetings from the UK. I have a question, I guess a lot of the islands you go to are protected hence no camp fire. Do you have to inform anyone that your visting this island.
I notice you don't share with us your location this again must have a reason, thanks for taking me with you on your ventures .
Bro love this island I notice most island don't have coconut trees does it depend which area u in ??
Glad the markets were closed you don’t do enough catch and cooks
new vid, 🥳🥳🥳🤗
mate, you, johny, joe and briggsy should have done a 3 day here
one day maybe
@@rokkitkit hope you guys do more videos together maybe with cavy and brooksy included. What made you sick last trip?
Jesus rod, if ya travelled any further ya would have hit the hurricane in florida
My only complaint is that these vids are to short, make them... i dont know, 5 hours long Rod?
Mate once again a cracking vid, quick question, I noticed you run with your duck bills down for the self draining deck, do you run with your bungs in or out for the most part?
Of If I know I’m doing a bar crossing or something that will take water on the boat I have e the drainers down. When I’m fishing and camping on the boat and there no rain forecast I’ll put the up and don’t let the deck get wet👍
Another awesome vid, wondering what are those yellow plastic storage containers with the clear lids that fit so perfectly into the side pockets on the stabi?
They are made by Plano, I can’t remember the size but it’s part of the Plano Edge series 👍
ROD! Lets see. Two red gas cans. Tottling butane stove with a 12-inch skillet w/ hot oil and dish cloth wick. In a boat. Do You see a problem here?
I guess because it so well ventilated and the gas cans are pretty much closed it should be fine.. but I do see your point… I’ll keep it in mind 👍
Remind me mate, did you say these areas you explore are off the coast of Sydney? Are they on Google maps at all?
I’m based on the Gold Coast, about 9hours north of Sydney. Most of the places I go are at least 10hours north of where I live👍
What hp and type of outboard to you have? I sometimes struggle with weight when I bring lots of camping gear and fishing gear. Was curious if you have a 4 stroke or what type of economy you have too.
It’s a four stroke 40hp Yamaha. I gets on the plan well even with a few adults on board. I get around 80km per 24ltr tank. I have two tanks so 160km is pretty amazing 👍
the videography has escalated since your film. excellent cinematics but included are the raw mundane aspects of camping remotely. Well done
What are those flaps on your transom for?
Sad to see all the dead coral
Hello again bro Rod❤❤❤❤love ur post humble MYSTERIOUS at tyms but def exciting ..wat we see it exactly wat we get due to ur humility...but nw that I love u soo much I dont know why I'm kind of angered or confused cos I was anxiously waiting for u to pull the trigger for a fish soo many tyms..i thawt as much you wer gunning a bug or famous coral trout with its crispy fried skin as a starter pack😮😅😅😅but then I really got disappointed like angry allitle 😮😢😢sori though 😮❤❤❤thinking of u starving there and stranded without even oysters..plus you said you tried and failed to get sumthing for a cook up few places..❤❤❤I stopped vid immediately wen I saw you sitting all alone looking at that ocean and no food😮😢😢😢commented same tym 😮😢😢nw let me continue ..gud luck my ext fam.member❤❤❤
Haha, all good, I can go a day without a meal😁 and just enjoy the camping and nature. but dont worry part 2 will have more fish👍
@@rokkitkit ok my brother ì feel for you like my own family that's why mood swings🤔🤩🙏😎😝😁
Can I ask why when you need food you don't take shark?
I guess it’s just not done often, but there’s no reason I couldn’t. Maybe soon I’ll do a reef shark catch and cook👍
Why don't you bring with you protective footwear for walking the coral.
Because I’m an idiot😅
How much fuel have you got onboard?
The two main tanks are 24ltrs each. I get about 80km each tank👍
@@rokkitkit thanks mate🏝️
That mullet...
Good to keep the sun off me neck😁👌
@RoKKiT KiT ... I'm a subscriber been here for a while cause I like fishing ... and I have one Question for you ... Are you Religious ?
I would say I have a deep spiritual side but not overly religious 👍
anyone from a different country and still find rods places?? i can give a pin of 3 islands and one is this one… cap group
First comment 🎉
you are first mate🏆
@@rokkitkit i love you and i love your videos you are special keep going ✨🇲🇦
bro get a starlink mini
How do you get your mask to seal over your mustache?
It seals most of the time but sometimes it definitely does leak and get a bit annoying👍
I know a few mates use vasolin to seal it up👍
FIRST?
Hi Rod❤❤sori just outta curiosity why did you just catch that one stripey first cast and then move away from that promising spot soo quickly ..plus😮😢😢esp considering ur fuel was a gamble for more fishing spots😮😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤just 😮😮😮😮
The one fish was enough for a meal and I wanted to get to the atoll before the tide locked me out👍
I also had a few more casts that didn't get fish before I left but didn't show them 😅
@@rokkitkit ohk just was wondering bru esp after you had to try so many cast on those bommies..and bro wats all those numerous other type fish whilst you diving ..are they not edible maybe..always wanted to ask other utubers as well guess that's why few of us guess sooo anxious and we or I shout out aloud shoot shoot fire fire 🤔😝😁👍🤩
Is that type of Fish from AUS only? Man I could watch this type of videos all day long…
4:11 "Wildlife"
We, the simple people care about the nature
Corporations DOES NOT
This is very sad

I'm happy to see your post after work, it is nearly midnight in my country. Wow, awesome footages 😍🩵 i relaxe now...
thanks for always tuning in🏆🤙
Do you know the name of the island that you’re on mate.
Allright! I was going to get smashed today, but now it will be in style watching RoKKiT!
stay classy 😂🤙
