@@jamiegraham6125 i retired early. At age 65 instead of 67. That lowered my old age money. But definitely increased my joy in life. 100% my favourite channel, it takes priority over anything else when a new episode drops. What a fish at the end to finish off with and take home for the family. Thanks Rokkit for another awesome episode
U have an amazing life my friend ,thank u for sharing a part of it with us all, I live in a small NYC apartment with my wife and a few furballs , I love them all ,but I would love to have a week living in ur shoes , probably won't happen anytime soon ,so I will just have to live vicariously through u ,thank u again and God bless .
Good lord. I don't even know what I'm looking at. It's been a few years since I've seen the ocean. All of this looks surreal. Greetings from Alberta, Canada.
Wassup Rod! I started watching your videos after your trip with Malosi and Briggsy. I tell you what.. I can't stop watching. It's video after video! So cool and interesting stuff you do out there...pole fishing, spear fishing, survival... the coolest is the scrounging the islands for slippers (thongs)! Amazing stuff you can find! Ironic coz it's among trash but very useful to a person like you. Your catch and cooks are simply amazing! Good stuff Rod! Aloha! 👌🤘🤙👊👍
Your videos are amazing and inspiring and thanks for all you show us, your videos help me get away from the stress of daily life seeing those beautiful backdrops and views and amazing looking fish! 😋
I also thought that last one was a shark. What a great way to finish this outing. On another note, isn't there room in the boat to push the box to the back and set the sleeping mat on the floor?
We all have challenges and problems of course, but Rod my man you live a truly blessed life. The freedom, space and beauty you get to enjoy is incredible and you have the skills to match the environment. A joy to experience with you in these videos. Respectful envy from all the way over here in grey, miserable London.
What is that at 12:40, center of the screen, lower 1/3'rd in the middle? It looks like a "steel pot" or a helmet from like the WWII era.. whaaaaaat??? Anyone else see that? GREAT vid, bro!!
Brilliant video Rod ! Fresh fish straight from the sea is simply a delicacy, lucky you ! I learned filleting a fish from you, thank you very much 😊👍Yum !
Found your site a few days ago now, and have binged watched ever since lol .... I'm from UK living in Philippines .... absolutely love what you do, yer a stand out performer against a lot of other similar channels .... please don't change 5* ... take care always and thanks again ❤ Fat Baz
What a great video Rod, my god. Your heart rate would have nearly stopped when you seen the fish. I’m pretty sure I heard you cheer when you nailed it under the water. 😂. I was waiting for the sharks, lucky. Hope you make it south to Victoria for some fishing. Cheers Glen
Don't mean to be soppy. I just want to say thanks for what you're doing. 50 next year and even though I fish, iv never camped while fishing. Not anything as grand as yours but tomorrow in doing a three day trip on the Dorset coast. Might do a bit of catch and cook. Anyway I hope you know how much thousands appreciate you. Got some mental health stuff going on but I'm not getting into that hahaha. So stay safe and keep doing your ❤
What a way to end your episode my friend thank you so much. That was exciting when at first when the Spanish was coming at you, I thought it was a shark maybe? But when I watched the entire video again on my big screen TV, I knew oh that’s a delicious hunt much love and support from Monterey California.🌊🤙🏼
Great video Rod specially catching the Spanish And the amazing camera work With the great camera work I bought myself projector big screen For my cinema room fa tastes to watch.😊
I love the boat tent rig you use even the old one to, but I've always thought it was missing one thing, have you ever thought about useing some kind of paracord or bungee cord between your front and back anchor points on the inside. It would give you a little more of a ridgeline for shedding water to the sides and it should give you a little more riggidity in the wind, and if your lucky you might even get another inch or two of head room out of it. Good luck, have fun, stay safe. OH and don't forget to catch a big one.😉😊 Holly crap you did catch a big one.😁😁
Have you ever considered getting one of the electric hookah sets for your trips ? I got myself an Airline Petrol powered one for here and the diving is good but there's bugger all fish inshore . Netted to death , nothing but starfish and crabs ( small ones ).
What a spectacular part of the world! That underwater footage was next level. Seriously though, after seeing all those sharks, there’s no way I’d be getting in there 😂😂
Excellent spanish at the end like u day to top off the trip❤ fellows over here always have some sort of towel u leave in the esky to cover up ur fish. Helps keep everything nice and chilled. Just wet the towel and place on top of the fish and your ice 👍👌
Be carful shooting a big fish!! Specially alone. In my country, an experienced free diver was lost for couple of days. After searching, he was finally found dead with speargun line wrapped around him with a king/spanish mackerel attached to the spear.
He has a knife. The line can always be cut. Freak accidents could happen anywhere. Might as well never leave home if one is so afraid something bad will happen
I wanted a dive watch but I couldn't afford it outright, but I could get the apple on my phone plan and pay it off slowly. it does all the basic features I needed it for plus I can answer calls on the kayak so its worked out well👍
Great video. Would u recommend the Stabicraft 1450 or 1550. Looking (dreaming) at either. Any regrets? Prices are sky rocket high on these boats. However, they do seem really safe. Thanks.
Florida fisherman here. Are you allowed to chum where you fish? That reef seemed like a great spot for that. Nothing like a block of frozen chum to bring them in closer. Not for spear fishing though. That’s a recipe for disaster.
OMG that last shot was EPIC! that was so cool how calm and collected you were. I would have had such a hard time not getting overexcited! great video as always. thank you! I am still sad you and Key west Waterman (@KeyWestWaterman) did not meet up when you came to Florida in the US, I hope you guys do eventually meetup for some great dives together, either in AUS or if you come back to the states.... hardcore spearfishing adventures!
I fish out of Florida and I don't go out without a hiking hat with 12 inch brim and sunscreen. I know you have been doing this for years and are very experienced. Hope the sun is always being kind to you.
Just got in from work. Heated up some leftovers from the fridge. Sitting down to watch my favorite camping/fishing youtuber. 🤙
Same here!!
We all deserve a treat after a long day at work
It's a sad thing life, we're grinding out the days watching someone else have fun instead if doing it ourselves. 😢

The water was beautiful, so clear! Held my breath when the Spaniard cruised in. Awesome shot!
I watched to the end but frankly was not expecting that awesome catch. Enjoy that amazing fish.
Love your videos, Rod. They are honestly the best and the real deal, without the fake pretentious, you know what. Keep up the amazing work
Nice catch Rod that's a lot of groceries for the family, your face says it all. Anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas

Sunken buoy or smooth coral is my guess
Looks way too man made, smooth and uniform.
Definately a coral, there is a smaller one just to the left of it, also see at 13:42 to 13:48 there is another.

Those fish at the start sipping on the surface and not interested in lures are big Milkfish. Very hard fighting fish. I’ve only caught them on bread.
Yeah I’ve heard they can be tricky now i know what they were😅, will have to give it a crack agin soon though. Some of them looked massive👍
Are you allowed to fish with barbed hooks in Australia? Some places in the US don't allow. Can't let the line go slack or fish gets off.
