ughh love this thing. Would love to have one! Great video btw, very detailed.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Watching you I've bought a motocompo last week love it
Sweeeeettt
Totally worth it 🔥
🙌🙌🙌
Definitely worth it!
🤟
Lovely little thing🚲🥰
Excellent.. Im restoring one on my Chanel. Mine is the worst of the worst condition.. Great job on the vid
I wish mine was uglier so I can make more video on it
Would've loved to have one of these when I was in high school driving to and from school.
this would be legendary in high school
If you want a compact, yet better ride, look at the Honda Navi, a cool scooter. Better yet, the Honda Grom. The Grom has a huge following and can be customized like crazy.
I don't think you're crazy for spending over $6K for the Motocompo. I think it's cute and Japanese retro, so it's definitely collectible. It's not my cup of tea, but it's cool that you enjoy it. I love my Hijet and even with extensive upgrades it cost less than the Motocompo, and the Hijet is way more practical for me. It's been my daily driver lately. After three weeks, I finally drove my 4Runner tonight just to keep the battery charged.
There were also the foldable scooters from the italian foldable bike specialist Di Blasi. Unlike the Motocompo they are fully foldable.
Awesome video bud, I would spend the same if not more if I can find one that in good condition, good to collect and to have something unique. Plus it is good incase your car gets a hick up and you have that as back up.
Good to know I’m not the only crazy one lol
You should take it into Manhattan. It would be a sick cruise in Times Square.
thats the plan LOL
YES! deff want one haha
ITS FIREE
I had one of these when I was about 12. Mine was white. I gave it to a honda collector after it sat for years
Dam at 12 you were flexing!
My dad bought it for me to ride around the neighborhood fun times
Will it make you hard to kick start next time after you empty the oil in carburetor?
Wow!!! Idk know about money spent vs you drivin to get gas. Very cool either way and almost 6k.... Let's Go!!!!
6K ON THE WAYY
14:15 - If you put 93 octane in that little Motocompo, all you'd do is drain the 87 octane out of the hose and leave your 93 octane for the next motorist.
would 93 help it last longer>
@@Waybeforethefame - I doubt the Motocompo has a high compression engine so it shouldn't benefit from high octane gasoline. The owner's manual should specify the recommended octane rating. Be aware that the Japanese use a different method of calculating octane than the method used by API in the US.
I'd be more concerned with the ethanol that's in US gasoline now. I don't think it's ever been in Japanese gasoline. Ethanol can degrade rubber hoses, O-rings, seals and it can contribute to nasty oxidation on some aluminum parts like carburetors. Modern vehicles sold in the US are designed for ethanol in gasoline. Older vehicles aren't. Pure Gas is an app and a website that helps you locate ethanol free gasoline.
Is there a vin list or way to tell a difference in what year it is?
Yeah there’s a vin behind the seat
Hey my friend has one of these and she says she just needs a battery to get it running do yall know what kind of battery i could order that would work with it?
Hey hit up Mr motocompo in Texas
@@Waybeforethefame thanks just sent them an email
@@Sircade nice yeah i got my motocompo from them
Take it to Sturgis! Cool fn bike!👍
Next time for sure!
Crazy price considering here in japan we get for about 1500 dollars. I got mine for 300 $
It’s expensive to ship things lol
@@Waybeforethefameunfortunatelt
I think you're better off with high octane gas in old Japanese vehicles, if your country puts ethanol in the gas. Keeps the very old rubbers more happy and a bit longer life.
Might out 93 on this guy next full up
I love the form factor and its intended use but don't want to deal with the little two stroke and 70s technology. What I'd love to see is the same type of vehicle as the Motocompo but with LiFePO4 batteries. The eMotocompo! Make it 50 pounds instead of 100 pounds. I had a little two seat tandem aircraft and I'd put a folding 2 stroke scooter in the back. A battery powered Motocompo would be great for that.
Lol honda must have seen your comment
@@jonatan_leandoer96 - I'm an electrical engineer, and that grants me a certain degree of techno-clairvoyance. 😀
Awesome moto! Fun nyc fact. Bc it goes more than 20mph you are required to have a helmet. Not that nypd enforces any of that.
True and the 20mph is a reach too it technically redlines at 18mph so i shouldn't ever go faster but VTEC LOL
VTEC! 2 stroke! 😂
Why not? If you can and you want it, bloody well get it.
The amount of money thats why lol
Need to make sure you check out if there is a minimum speed requirement if you are driving it to Jersey. Be careful buddy.
very true lol this needs to stay on the local streets
A little tip do not ride with your feet out it’s an accident waiting to happen.
if we're being honest, if someone riding this gets in any type of accident there feet being out or not is the last thing to worry about
They are very cool, but also very impractical. From a biker perspective they are VERY unsafe. The small profile makes you hard to see by other drivers as you will be below their hood line of sight. Its lack of speed makes you a slow moving obstacle that other drivers will have to navigate around. For something to putt around a car show, its a perfect little toy. Just enjoy it as its meant to be enjoyed. Think about your safety. Take it from someone with 2 herniated disks and a vertebrae that's been broken from motorcycle accidents, you don't want to have a lifetime of pain for one time of showing off.
I mean nobody is really buying a motocompo to actually travel and drive it everyday. It’s more of a man cave toy something you bring to car meets and drive around in. But I would never use it like a grom that can actually travel 70mph this thing does 20mph max lol
RIDING THAT MIDGET...AND YOU WILL BECOME ROADKILL
Don’t watch my other motocompo videos
17:15 - The EPA and CARB just had simultaneous hebephrenic fits at that gasoline draining onto the ground. Some wackadoodle environmental terrorist will probably torch your little Motocompo as more of an environmental disaster than my SUV.
LOL good to know! Im going to get a water bottle to dump the extra gas in since it has a tube and just reuse it
