A quick warning, I have been an amputee for 40 years or so, During that forty years i have hunted hiked canyoned abseiled cycled for most of the time i worked as a builders labourer, for that 40 years my teeth where used as my missing limb, the warning is that if you are limb compromised and have damage to your face/mouth you may find yourself struggling to open vacuum packaging as i have discovered over time, hence now i keep one dressing out of the first layer of packaging and set my tourniquet set up for one handed use tho it took some time and testing to find the best way to pre-setup the tourniquet. if you have already thought of this all is well with your world. ps i enjoy your content.

I have been scouring the internet for a sensible setup video such as this. I am a combat veteran from many years back, so I have a firm idea of how I would prefer my belt setup to be. However, the equipment we had back in those days was light years inferior to what is out there and available now.
We always believed, as I am quite sure the troops do now, that more was seldom better; it tended to weigh one down. There was enough necessary kit to wear, so why in God's name would we want to lug around more than was absolutely necessary? I understand the ol' two is one, and one is none concept. Sometimes, however, that concept is just not practical, and...can get you badly hurt or killed.
You, sir, knocked this out of the ballpark! Thank you for helping me and others like me to take a fresh look at an age-old problem. 👍

Being an infantryman, I like to put my grenades/pyro/charges on my belt rather than on my armor. Walking a lot with grenades or smokes on my sides got pretty old when I was in Afghanistan, so I've elected since then to keep that sort of stuff on the belt line away from my arms. It also helps to keep the torso free of as much bulk if say you're in a turret/sticking out of a hatch of some sort. I have a similar "catch all" pouch around the same side that carries all my irregular sized objects, from star clusters, to water impulse charges and stuff like that. It also is a good place to stick my eye pro, ear pro, fox tails and it sinches up real tight so it doesn't rattle.

im in the process of building out my battle belt. i got a belt and holster ordered. belt is a knock-off of the GBRS belt they have, holster is knock-off Safariland QLS. dont judge me on the knock-offs, inflation is rough these days...and im not actually going to battle, with my battle belt, so figured knock-off gear is good enough. just need to get the rest of the items to finish the belt. so, now i know i just need: IFAK, dump pouch, and some mag pouches.
