In fact, I personally think that BTS is different from other groups in K-pop. I've been trying to listen to other bands, I've liked individual songs, but nothing has stuck with me. On the other hand, BTS songs seem to enchant me and hit me right in the soul.

I feel the exact same way! I have enjoyed other kpop at times but NONE of the other bands are like BTS in my mind! They are super special for sure!
Same with me. Nothing against other groups who I believe also work hard and very talented. But with BTS music I pretty much enjoy everything they put out.
@@crystalsnow1138 Exactly! Other K pop bands DO work hard I am sure and some of their stuff is kinda catchy to me but overall, BTS speaks to me on a whole different level! It still amazes me after 2 years of being ARMY how talented and just wonderful they really are.

That choreography is pretty iconic as well, lots of young K-pop groups try to recreate it 😜💜💜💜 Did you see how Fire is the opposite of Dope? In Dope they are the try hards, in Fire they are saying to not try to hard and it's okay to have fun and be a looser too. BTS have a lot of mirror songs. Try another pair as well: Save Me vs. I'm Fine. 💜
BTS will always surprise you with each song. Different sounds, genres, visuals and meanings. This song hits differently watching a live performance, it’s really hyped up with a crowd. Always expect the unexpected when you react to their music. They are different from other K-pop groups and they never disappoint.

That's why people like BTS so much. They don't hold themselves down to one genre like so many other K-Pop groups. The guy's voice that you like who's deep is RM says he will never hold himself down or back from exploring all walks of life of music.
They're in the different league, the choreography, energy, vibe and message in lyrics, no one's like them, not my favorite so far but still 🔥🔥
Fire is kind of a mirror sister song to Dope which is part of why Dope was playing at the beginning. Both address Korean youth who the press and previous generations have labeled the" giving up generation". Fire flips Dope's don't lose hope and find happiness by working hard toward your dreams to the idea that part of being young is making mistakes and experiencing a special period in your life. BTS says it is ok to lose and those calling you a loser are spoons, referring to golden or silver spooned critics who judge from a position of having a lot. You set your youth on fire being you regardless of their demanding you follow a singular righteous path. Ultimately you will win from having had a real youth which is not shackled to the system.
For me the repetition of the word today has rallying anthem feel when you know its context. In that way it is similar to Not Today.
Totally agree and great explanation! On the surface it seems like just a hype song (which it is), but on the deeper level it's hyping up youth who are struggling with transition to adulthood. It tells you it's also okay not to know what you are doing, be aimless, make mistakes, and just be passionate about what you are doing. It's also rebelling against the system, just set everything on fire and don't worry about society's expectations. I love it and wish I had this song when I was a teenager :)
What I love about this song is that “Fire” is clearly a call-out to people, no matter their country, economic background, or depressed situation, to get hyped and set fire to class restrictions, dismissive haters, or their own inhibitions. To let go.
This has one of the more epic BTS choreography dance practice videos, it really shows off how intense the hole choreography is and is well worth a watch too. Live they almost bring the roof down when they perform it. They are extremely aggressive and get more intense as it goes. Very much Fire.

THIS song was the very first song I heard from them back in 2018 and I was hooked….went down the BTS rabbit hole and never came back up. Their versatility in their music is on another level. They are not afraid to try different genres. I respect them so much as a group and as individuals. Their performances are truly phenomenal especially LIVE. The topics they rap/sing about….THATS what sets them apart from other groups. They are deep! You can’t put them in a “category”. They are their on genre.
I’m realizing that I’ve watched Cameron Phillips if BTS was dubbed fire version so much that I can’t watch the original without hearing the dub version in my head lol
Firstly, the member who's rap you keep commenting on liking is called RM (Rap Monster) the leader of BTS (real name Namjoon). He is fluent in English and extremely talented writer/rapper. Secondly please please please react to BTS "Not Today" because if you're into decent rap and high energy.....that's where you will find it! Ohh...and the choreography + track = super pumped for hours!
Fire has such a beat that you cant help but to dance to, also the lyrics are so sing alongable especially the chorus and omg the chorep is amazing and on point especially those quick feet movements
BTS has always very high quality music videos but I usually enjoy live performances even more. This is a good one to see live. My appreciation for most of their songs grew after watching a performance.

These lean more on their hip hop/ RnB sound..
But not sure what to recommend you, so far you've gotten the generic recommendations please share what you'd like to hear more maybe so we can better guide you! Like they have gems in their solo stuff, much more raw, they have beautiful soulful ballads but not entirely sure that's what you're looking for!
They have such good B-sides. I think Jamais Vu would surprise him!

I was thinking maybe first like Life goes on, Louder than bombs or even Truth Untold to still have that production aspect also... i mean I love Fire, DNA and stuff but what made me ARMY was their solo works, B sides, rap heavy stuff and emotional ballads
Agreed with someone else, Fire not in my BTSplaylist but live, well that’s a different matter! BTS all have such incredible stage presence, amazing in a band of 7 very different people.
The choreography for this is iconic for BTS. I know music is your thing but the dance practice for this is sweet.

Not gonna lie, I was feeling sad you hadn't uploaded anything from BTS in a while! LOL It is not my absolute favorite, but even though I haven't seen them live yet, I agree with everyone else that the vibe when this song is being performed live in their concerts is way different! Fire is very hype and its messages are pretty straightforward too. For some context, that is because this song and the album [The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever] is kind of like a grand finale to the HYYH (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life) era. This was when BTS talked about the youth and their struggles. I would recommend checking out songs like Baepsae/Silver Spoon and the explanation video for it. Fire wraps up the era by telling the youth to "burn up all the problems and concerns" and live your life the way you want. Interesting fact: this era never really ended; the title track for their recent anthology album Proof is named Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment). BTS has always talked about issues relevant to the times.
It's true, as soon as you recognize the formula that Kpop uses it will all start to sound like copy+paste work.
Which really separates BTS from the rest of Kpop, it's just BTSpop there's no other way to describe it.
Not Today MV is fire too. Or maybe you should try a rap song like UGH, the one you liked at the FESTA medley. Or Ddaeng, Baepsae, Cyphers, Otro Tear. From there you have tons of amazing songs to listen to.

You should check out some of their older songs. I'm thinking of We Are Bulletproof Pt 2, Danger, & Boy in Luv. I'd also recommend Not Today, Idol and Dionysus. Dionysus doesn't have a music video, but any live performance is incredible!
Black Swan is the song that made me ARMY, FIRE is one of my favorite HYPE songs, and it's a BTS staple at every concert. I've seen a few online concerts and been to two of them in person. At PTD On Stage, they did a switch up on the music, it was great in concert.

You might try Run BTS from their latest album if you haven’t already done that. No music video but you can watch a line distribution lyric video. Tip: don’t watch the one where they have crosses of light over their faces in the photos. They look cool, but the translation is off.
