This is the pump I got covered by my insurance. Your videos and reviews are why I went with lansinoh! And I'm so glad I did. I wanted a closed system that wasn't huge like the spectra but would get the job done. Hearing that the lansinoh pump gets it done for an ep mom is what convinced me! Haha. Aw thank you! I work very hard to make sure they're the best they can be so it means a lot you think the same! Yes, you can use the Hygeia adapters on amazon to use Medela bottles with this pump. They're orange and come with two. I think they're may be a link in the description ^up there too. You got this momma & there's no right way to breastfeed! You're doing your best!
The pump is coming through Aeroflow who were amazing every step of the way my own insurance was talking about going through a reimbursement process after purchase uh no lol especially when I'm trying to mentally prepare for a repeat c section

@@tabbyyy_ the smart way to start is to call you insurance company to find which suppliers they work and what they will cover. From that there are handfull of online pump suppliera that will help with the ordering and confirming your coverage.

Just ordered this pump hope it works for me. I have been renting a pump for a couple weeks and just thought to get one of my own. Rather then pay a daily rent fee. I still struggle with pumping and keeping my son content. He is only 8 weeks old. How did you go about keeping an infant happy. He is very fussy.
Hope it helps! My girls had reflux so it was really tough for awhile to keep them happy at all. Lots of long and hard days. Remembering this season doesn’t last forever and wearing baby a lot helped us

I need to order my pump from my insurance and was just about to pick the medela pump in style but now you have me rethinking my decision! I had a lansinoh 3 years ago and it was a completely different pump it even had the small bottles instead of the big bottles. I liked it as an occasional pump but the suction didn't get all my milk out, so I got the ameda PY and liked it just a little better. I was excited to try medela this time but now I'm thinking of trying this out! Can you weigh in at all?

Aw thank you so much momma! I'm happy to help(: Joovy and MAM are the only ones that fit directly. However you can buy the orange Hygeia adapters and that will make the pump fit narrow/standard bottles!

Happy to help momma! I have tried the Ameda Purely Yours and honestly wouldn't recommend it. The Ameda pumps are a little out of date compared to other companies. However, hospital grade pumps are the best of the best so if possible, keep renting that one! I'd definitely go with the Lansinoh over the Ameda personal pump for sure!

Do you think this pump is the best one for working mothers? Can you pump directly into bags with this pump? If so, which bags do you recommend? Does it have independent speed and suction controls? Can you post the link to the orange adapter? and lastly, will it work with the nano bebe bottles?
Yep, I think it’s a great option for any mom, working moms included. Yes you can, the Lansinoh bags are the only ones right now. Yes, it does. I’m not sure about the nanobebe bottles. The link for the adapters is in my drop box description below the video
Your reviews are so helpful! I'm due with baby #2 in October. Last time, I used my Spectra at home and the hospital-grade Ameda pump at work. I rigged my spectra to fit with the ameda parts so I could easily use them for my last pump once I got home. Do you think I could do the same with Ameda parts for this pump?? Thanks so much!!

This pump is moderately loud but their new version (also have a review on it) the Lansinoh SmartPump 2.0 is very, VERY quiet!

I got this pump cover under my insurance and I picked the "smartpump" becuse I really wanted the information to be handy on my phone. Unfortunately it never work!! The pump is great, but I would NOT spend the $100 difference from the smartpump to the signature pro. The app is supposed to turn on or log when you start pumping and when you stop, every time I would start it would show that I pump for hours. It just never stop. The bluetooth would connect to my phone but would not really sink with it. Save your money
I'd reach out to their customer service because that's definitely not how it's suppose to work! Sorry it didn't work correctly!

Hi! I am wondering how long the pump lasted you? I am exclusively pumping and have worn out 2 of these pumps already (each died after 1 month of use).. just wondering if I am just unlucky or the smart pump just isn't made for exclusive pumpers? :( Thank you!
That definitely shouldn’t be the case momma! I had one die just as I was weaning at 1 year 9 months and the other still works just fine! They don’t have a suggested life span and should last for EPers. Definitely reach our to their customer service because something isn’t right! Sorry to hear you’ve experienced this):
Does this pump have to be plugged in order to work? I have the motif duo pump which I absolutely love. The only problem is my motif pump doesn't empty me as well as my medela pump but my medela has to be plugged in. I travel a lot so something to accommodate would be amazing. I know you excessively pump and from one mom to another that also has pumped excessively I really do appreciate you and all your videos their good encouragement for moms who feel like giving up. Exclusively pumping is hard but so worth it especially for NICU babies and babies that have a hard time latching.
No, there is a battery compartment where you place 6 AA batteries and then it can be battery operated!
How do you clean the accessories? Do you boil them after every use? Or just wash with hot water and soap? When I was in the hospital pumping with the Medela, the nurses said just washing with hot water and soap was sufficient.
Yep, hot water and soap are good enough on a daily basis. You can sterilize them every week or so to further prevent against bacteria.
How would you compare this to the medela pump in style as for suction strength? I found the spectra s2 was way too gentle and didn’t work for me. The PIS does the job for me but is super loud and I’m wondering if the pump might go out soon so I’m looking for similar strength. Love your channel, thank you for all your reviews.

I understand this is an older video but i was really interested in the adapter you used for standard bottles. Do you know if it would work for glass bottles as well? Im not a big fan of plastic bottles.
It does work for my Dr. Brown glass bottles so it would work for any other glass standard/narrow neck bottle. Glass is a little heavier but I agree on preferring it over plastic(:
What parts have to be washed every time? I couldn't tell from the comments and replies. So tempted to get this pump for my second. I was an EP oversupplier (like you) for my first child for 9 months with a Medela PISA and Symphony and bought all the accessories and then some. Thank you for the hack about the adapter and pump into the medela bottles. But how many extra parts do I need to order if I'm an EP? Also been seeing some things on the Unimom Minuet.
The flanges (breast shields), connectors, and duckbill valves should be cleaned every time. Bottles too obviously. Make sure to unassemble the connector and wash all the individual pieces. Remove the duckbill valves to clean inside those too! It depends how often you want to wash parts and how well baby is doing. If your baby ends up being a premie or medically fragile you’ll need fresh parts every time. You’ll need either several parts or wash parts a couple times a day and have less sets. But if you have a full term, heathy baby you could probably get away with a few sets and refrigerate them in between washing. Just make sure rinse them before refrigerating! I haven’t heard of that pump before. Sorry!

The Medela hack isn’t for this pump, that’s for the Spectra. But with this pump you can use Medela flanges (aka breast shields) instead of Lansinoh. You may want to do that because Medela has a huge range of sizes and flange size is *crucial* when pumping!

I find that I really like the lansinoh manual pump - does that convert in function to this pump?
Maybe in some aspects but manual pumps are that, controlled manually. The Lanisnoh electric pumps have pre-set settings so there's nothing manual about it. Depending on how you use the manual, it may be similar to the electric (:
Hi Momma Alia, your videos are great and helped me a lot to exclusively pump with our second child, now we are expecting our third baby and I have a couple of questions. In Canada the price difference for pro pump and smart pump is about $140 (pro pump $160 vs smart $300). So do you think it worth to pay extra $$$ for the app since the motor and functions are the same? (pls correct me if im wrong). I remember you mentioned before good apps like Glow Baby and Pump Log. Thank you!
So happy they could help momma! I love the SmartPump and it's app but for that huge of a price difference I would get the Signature Pro and use a different app! I love Pump Log for exclusively pumping stuff and Glow Baby for baby's feeding, weight and stuff like that!
Are the modes better on this one than the motif luna? I can't decide between the two. I need something with good suction and different modes. And easy to clean would be nice too. I have the Medel pump in style advanced from my last baby but am looking to get a different one this time around. I do like the app feature with this one. Which one do you like better?
Close call but still would lean towards the Lansinoh if you want as many option as possible with settings! Lansinoh parts come apart in a way to let you get most of the hard to reach places so I’d say it wins there for you too. Lansinoh is still my every day pump when I’m not trying new ones for you guys!
I'd really like to see a comparison on the lansinoh smartpump and the medela freestyle also curious if you could do a review on the hygeia enjoye and possible comparison of that to the medela pump in style I'm due in September and thankfully I have insurance to cover a pump but I also have a flexible spending account I can use to purchase a secondary pump so I am really looking for both a daily use pump for at home and work and also a lightweight portable one to take with me on the go or for use as a back up pump.

Nope, you just sign in once. Unless you sign out or delete the app and then re-download it. If you have the app synced to the pump it’ll track pumping times
Can you do video of what bottles work with this pump
The ones I know of are MAM, Joovy and Dollar General wide neck bottles. There’s also a Hygeia adapter (link in the description of this video) to make narrow neck/standard bottle work.

MAM, Joovy, wide neck Dollar General brand bottles and there’s an orange Hygeia adapter to make narrow neck bottles work.

They’re more current version is one of my top favorites. The Lansinoh SmartPump 2.0! I have a review of it on my channel. This one is still awesome though. The newer version is just upgraded to be even better

Bit of a long shot, but can you use medela flanges with this pump? The lansinoh standard size is too big and I'm struggling to find any info about compatible flanges here in the UK. Pump itself (here it's called lansinoh 2-in-1 double electric) is great but my milk supply has completely tanked because I haven't been able to empty effectively and I'm starting back at work in 2 weeks! Please help!
Yes you can!! Just the shield part (no Medela connector) though. I used Medela 21 mm flanges the entire time using this pump because that’s my size!

Only by hair! They’re my top two favorite pumps! I didn’t think you could go wrong with either. Just depends what you’re looking for that make me recommend one over the other!

I just got my lansinoh smart pump from my insurance and I normally pump on like medium suction with Medea and spectra but with this one in medium it’s like my nipples are barely even moving. I have to put it all the way up Imto get them to even pull into the flange. Is that normal duty this pump?
I'd make sure everything is assembled correctly, that the tubing is pushed in as tightly as it can be and that your membranes are okay. But it could be possible that you need more suctions with this one

They don't sell smaller sizes but Medela flanges do fit. You would need to just buy the shield not the one piece. I've bought mine off of Medela's website(:

You might be able to rig something up but it doesn’t come with a clip by itself

Both of them came with the pump. They call them large and extra large
It says online that you can pump into the bags. Is there another piece to buy to do this? Or how do they attach?
If you're using the Lansinoh connectors that come with the pump, there's no additional parts. The way they designed the bag with the connector is for it to just slide on and snuggly fit on there. If you're using a different pump than the Lansinoh and want to use their bags, they have an adapter to make that work!

Without the adapter: MAM and Joovy. However there is an adapter made by Hygeia and it fits the pump which will make all standard bottles fit
