    Nice work Caper. I wish I had the skills and tools to fix my 1998 F150 like that. The problem is it's just too far gone since the frame is completely rusted out. I'm in the process of stripping it down and salvaging as many parts as I can before scrapping it. All I need is someone to help me pull the 4.6L before Winter hits and I'm set. Thanks for sharing. I have a Mig welder with Argon/CO2. I don't have a garage. I was weary about welding outside. So, I guess just be careful of the wind? I was going to rivet it in place and take it to my dad's garage, but maybe, I'll give it a shot in the driveway. My first welding project with a brand new welder... I've used welders before but never for body work.

    Not trying to be an ass cause it did look good when it was finished but I kinda figured with all the nice tools and equipment to do the job im not sure why you wouldn't have used bondo instead of seam sealer and actually sand it, prime it and paint it my step-dad is a body man for over 30+ years and I've never seen him use a seam sealer after welding in New panel's and then paint right over top of it. Guess I'm just wondering if this is something kinda new or something older and ive just not ever seen done? Looked similar to just regular cocking but like I said not a bad job!!

    • @mikeakers1209
      @mikeakers1209 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Using seam sealer as bondo is what you do when you're quick fixing something to sale he should have kept spot welding until all the welds are touching then grinded them down smooth unused a little body filler to make things look nice seam sealer goes on the bottom under the cab then sand prime and paint

    • @thisguysgarage
