Honda Forza 750 | So Much More Than Just A Scooter

  • The Honda Forza 750 is so much more than just a scooter. Probably the best scooter on the market today, in competition with the Yamaha T-Max, the Honda could be even better.
    With a 750cc engine and a dual clutch transmission, the Forza 750 has loads of power for road use. On top of that with its great wind protection and premium components, it really is a capable ride. Putting lots of motorcycles to shame. The Honda Forza 750 is not to be over looked.

    Don't apologise for not wearing 'proper' gear. It only gives certain people an excuse to attack you more. It's your risk - let them eat cake.

    For these larger machines I think the term 'automatic motorcycle' is surely more accurate? It does need cruise control and an adjustable windscreen to really take on the Tmax though.

      I think they still qualify as a scooter! Just a very capable one, that can take on most motorcycles. Yes, however I really preferred the ride of this Honda over the T-Max. The Honda quality shines through. Cheers

    Great video! As someone who went from a "proper" bike to a scooter back and forth more then a few times (a few 600cc bikes, a few scoots from 50 to 500cc), I'd absolutely love to own this thing, and this coming from a guy working in a Kymco dealership (AK550 is something you need to try if you haven't). The only dilema would be to get the NC750X or Forza!

  • @KitJohnson9
    @KitJohnson9 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think this video says a lot about British attitudes to scooters. People assume they're inferior to manuals, so when you find a good scooter it has to be "more than a scooter."

  • @garethtemple6242
    @garethtemple6242 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great review. I was really tempted by one of these last time I changed my bike. Even with a whole raft of accessories, it still comes in a lot cheaper than the Tmax. There's a £3,200 price difference between the two and the heated grips (as an example) are £300, so you could kit one of these out, how you wanted it, and still almost certainly have a good amount of change from the £13,800 price of the Tmax.
    The only fly in the ointment in relation to the value money of this bike is the company's own NC750X Dct, which is nearly £2k less for a bike, which is mechanically identical and offers most of what the Forza does.

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks 👍 Yup this is definitely the scooter I would pick, even without the accessories! I suppose it depends wether you want the extra ease and practicality of the scooter over a motorbike. But yes that is a good point. Cheers

    Angus, great video and location. I’ve agonised over this, the X-ADV and TMax. Each has it’s merits. The Forza should have heated grips and cruise control as standard for that price point and an adjustable screen (even the 350 Forza has that). That weight is also high even if carried low. The TMax is much lighter by comparison. I’d probably go for the X-ADV for the better suspension travel, wider bars and slightly skinnier profile. Enjoy Spain!

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks really glad you enjoyed the video 👍 Yes its a tricky one. Money no object I would go for the X-ADV. However I feel like the X-ADV is not a "pure" scooter. I would have the Forza over the T-Max, just felt better quality to ride. Many thanks 👍

    It’s the same as the XADV 750 and although they look like scooters they are in between given they are essentially an NC750 underneath dressed as a scooter. They don’t have the usual scooter engine layout it’s a motorbike one, chain driven not belt with better motorbike suspension. Not sure about the size of its wheels but think the XADV has a 17 front 15 back so again not quite scooter sizes.

    I would be interested to test ride. I only past my test a couple of years ago at the age of 57 because I wanted a Vespa 300 gts (which I got then sold). I have had an adv 350 for about 6 months and am very happy with it, especially the underseat storage which is about twice the size of the Forza 750 I think. Only downside of adv350 is a fairly firm rear suspension. Like a few other people have said, would be nice if Forza 750 was belt driven...... Decisions decisions 🤔

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes not being belt driven is definitely a down side. I think you would be nicely surprised by the engine in the Forza 750, however if you like the lay out of the X-ADV then perhaps try the X-ADV750. Brilliant bike/scooter

      I owned a 21 plate nc dct and I sold it after 3 months. Also own xmax. Imo ur point is bang on. Belt drive easily worked on, change ratios, my dct nc used to be unruly in mountain hairpins both up and down and yes there are the paddles. I formed the opinion the dct as in many cars will fail. There are very few people that have knowledge to repair/diagnose. A lot of car manufacturers are going back to torque converter autos. I felt my nc was flimsy in gearbox dept so got out. However had belt drive scooters for years. I love them plus no chain to clean/adjust. Belt change at 12k.

    No cruise control option at all.
    So an NT1100 is more universal thing. Almost same weight, DCT, cruise control, heated grip, better wind protection, more convinient seating position and more power for open road. ;)
    And you have panniers in the price and can buy the 50 l top box.
    Maybe the 750 engine is smoother in the city. But you won't by this bike only for the city and than it lacks...

    • @redangrevival

    • @joaoroman9583
      @joaoroman9583 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with the NT compared to this is that it feels a less premium bike. But you have to ride both to understand. Also when u say this lacks beyond the city what u exactly mean? Top speed? Cruise speeds around 160km are easily made but top speed is higher.
      Wind protection? Better on the forza. No engine heat at all also compared to the NT. But again one have to ride both to feel the differences. Also, NT dct version is 4000€ more than the forza

    • @viktorbenedek868
      @viktorbenedek868 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joaoroman9583 I mean, beyond the city it is weak (tested). Takeovers are not so safe. Wind protection on any scooter type thing is worse, because wind can bother your legs more than on real touring bike.
      Longterm sitting position is not convinient to your back.
      Engine heat of course is more on bigger cc bike, but less then other touring bikes, never was a problem on this.
      Not a bad bike, but my problem always was that it is not a scooter (small storage room) and not a real bike.
      But it is a good transporting wehicle from A to B.

    This video was just so SAD, yes we all know it is your life and we have every respect for you but basically, on the biggest video channel on the planet, I believe, you have shown all those up-and-coming new bikers a shameful way to go about things - all your excuses do not exonerate you from your responsibilities at all!!

      Have you ever ridden a motorcycle in Barcelona in August? Almost everyone wears no safety gear. I just got back from Greece and they don't even wear helmets!!
      I would never recommend anyone, especially a new rider to do this. This is a real life review, and I think it gives the viewer a genuine viewing experience.

      That's a rather sanctimonious view to take. The choice we make to ride bikes, rather than drive a car, is a very significant one, in terms of risk to your personal safety, relative to which, your choice of clothing is a much smaller one. No one would actively encourage riding without proper gear, but at the same time, we've all done it, particularly when it's hot. As it was pointed out virtually, no one wears full gear in Mediterranean countries.

      Shame I did not get my point across - we all do what we like, it was the showing the world by a respected TH-camr how not to go about things!@@garethtemple6242

      Come on Dude!! Go to Milan or for that matter any large city in Europe, they all ride round it T shirt and shorts! We're all adults and we all can choose to wear what we want...if you watch other reviews he's done in the UK he's always wearing proper bike gear so to pick on this one (where he's clearly on holiday) is SAD
