After riding a variety of small scooters over a number of years in Thailand (110 - 160 cc engines) I bought an ADV 350 about a week ago. Here is my verdict in the context of your own excellent review: 1. First thing I noticed whilst riding the new bike was the high and wide motorbike handlebars which immediately eliminated that hunched up position I became used to on small scooters - and I am about the same height and weight as you Jake. My posture whilst riding has improved overnight and this also improves your confidence on the road and the pleasure of riding. I think the improved posture and upright riding position is also the reason my wife keeps saying I look 'really cool' on the new bike 😆 2. Yes, the filtering is not so efficient at times due to the larger size but the time you make up on the open road more than compensates for any time lost filtering - at least up here in Udon. Instead of skulking around at the side of the road worrying what the cars and trucks are going to do I just pull right over to the fast lane and hold the lane with confidence knowing I can pull away from 99% of the other vehicles at any time. This is not always because my bike is faster than the cars but also due to the way Thais drive, hesitant and indecisive - by the time they make their minds up I am gone 3. As we are in constant contact with the road surface, the difference that the Showa forks and suspension makes to the quality of the riding experience can not be over-stated - my wife loves riding pillion now due to the smoother ride and never bottoming out the suspension - in fact, the suspension on this bike is actually improved with a pillion passenger 4. I would find it extremely difficult to go back to a smaller scooter now - the only reason I can think of is if I knew I was going to live solely in Pattaya with it's extreme traffic congestion, for the rest of my life. As this is not the case there is no way I am ever parting with my ADV350!
That's awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience. 👊🏼 I think the ADV 350 is perfect for Udon. Traffic is light duty compared to Pattaya and Bangkok. I'm currently in Nong Saeng, a 35 minute ride from Udon helping Gig renovate her house. I love my ADV 160, but if I make this my home base I'll be buying the ADV 350. The open roads, and the winding hilly terrain in this area is delightful to ride. ADV 350 power, ride quality, and storage would add much joy to the experience.
I’ve always been a pcx150 guy, after a trip to Chiang Mai in 2017 and renting one for three months I went out and bought one when I got home to the states . I enjoy riding it so much I ended up selling my Harley street glide , last winter I rented the pcx 160 in Phuket for three months and my plans when I arrive there in a couple weeks was to do the same, but now I may just rent the ADV 160. Thanks for the great review !
You're welcome, and you will love the ADV 160. I had a similar experience as you. I purchased an XMAX for my US ride after many years of riding 1000cc sport bikes. Scooters are much more fun and practical for everyday commuting.
We have a PCX 160 and told my wife the samething...the bike is so light that any movement from her affects the steering at slow speed. That ADV 350 looks fantastic. Thanks for the review.
You're welcome! 🙏🏼 I still periodically have to remind Gig to stop moving around while we are maneuvering through slow traffic on a small CC scooter. Lol
The best comparison review! Im in the states and loving my 160. Its a keeper for sure, I have an aluminum top box so plenty of space. My other bike is a cb500x for the longer hauls and if I want more power and clutch action. My adv though gets far more miles because its soo convenient and practical.
I live in Bangkok. Currently using Nmax 155. I'm torn between the ADV 160 and 350 variant for my next one. The 160 is the much more reasonable pick. But my partner and I always take the chance to go out of town every holiday and the 350 will make our trips more comfy. This is a hard choice indeed. Thanks for the insights, very helpful. But still can't decide :D :D
Well, I only just bought the ADV160 for my 2 sons to use and we also have the NMax155, so we have to time share the two bikes so there is no fighting over who uses which bike! I have ridden them both and there is no comparison, the ADV is way better than the NMax in most respects! The only problem with the ADV for me is it's very much more upright and no easy rider position with legs forward, but overall the ADV is very well put together! We just paid 104,000 baht!
@@thelittlesignpost Thank you for the insight. Have you tried the adv for out of country trips? like BKK to Kanchanaburi/Pattaya trips? It would really help if you have experiences about those.
@@kimoneil7739 No, this is only the second day of ownership and so far 52 km on the clock! It's very smooth to ride and until now, have only taken it to 80 kmph while running in! After the 1,000km service, we can try more! I suspect it will be just fine on the big roads! I think we we likely buy 2 more and go for family rides, all 4 of us together! Apparently, tuning is available if you need more power, which we don't! I have ridden bikes all my life and 54 motorcycles from 400 to 1,000cc have passed through my hands until now, so I do have the experience to see the ADV 160 is a great ride! I am in Buengkan, North East of Thailand!
Big fan of ADV 150 and 160 here. Thanks for the awesome detailed comparison! Will definitely try out the 350 in Europe and maybe if I get crazy enough - would get it on top of my 150 there )
Thanks you just convinced me to add these models to my wife's bike rental business on Koh Lanta, which is mostly big bike (Duicati, MV, harley etc) orientated, but we agree these bikes are great for people to rent or buy in Thailand if scooters are your choice, and safe to ride.
Great video. I’m a new rider and rode the 160 today in Thailand It rained and was a 30 minute ride. There was an accident behind me and it was certainly an experience.
Jake I just watched a brilliant video from "Riding the islands with Harro!" "Honda ADV 160 review". The first thing he did was swap out the CVT. Much better acceleration, a little loss of top end. Cost 7,000P. Excellent video for lots of other mods he did. Cam
Another good comparison! Personally I'd have to go with 350 but we don't get as hectic traffic here and I also love to go on open road whenever possible. That said, off-road capabilities would also come in handy. Love this bike - thank you!
Very informative with all the relevant info, just the way you detail the riders height needed for each bike is super handy to know, plus power weight and price and most of all what they are like to live with in all sorts of scenarios is brilliant, well done I have subscribed.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple I live in Indonesia. Currently owned ADV 160, PCX 150 and the Yamaha Xmax 250. I can say we demand more for Xmax to be equipped with the 350cc engine but since the regulation here are kinda complicated (which if you have the bike and it's engine are more than 300cc, then we pay more tax than it should be). So it's obvious the older sister of ADV 160 will be coming with 250cc rather than 350cc engine
Thank you for these vids mate. I work as a delivery driver in Greece and as a 6.5 ft dude adv 350 is the only one I work comfortably. They didnt bring the 160 in EU ....
Great comparison, thanks for that. I rode the ADV 350 for a day, great scooter, but for city traffic jam, parking etc. it´s too big and heavy. I would be interested in the 160, but unfortunately it´s not available in Europe / Germany, and I doubt it ever will be. So I steáy with my old SH 150, which ist fine too 👍
Thank you, this is the best comparison video , very specific details.. because untill now i cant decide yet which one i would buy...probably ill buy 2 of them though.. for longer and shorter journey..
You're welcome. I'm glad you liked the video. I love my ADV160, and I'll probably buy the 350 by the end of this year. I've been riding a lot in Udon Thani on open roads with light traffic. I'll keep the ADV160 for Gig and friends who visit me. Deciding between these two was incredibly difficult. Lol
Great Review, one of the best I have seen, well done. FYI, you can change the weight on the rollers which will give you quicker take off but lower top speed, ask your Honda guy
G’day Jake thank you for your response, since about 2017-18 I have been giving a lot of thought to relocating, retiring to Pattaya and opening a small business to keep me out of trouble (not a bar) but then COVID hit it certainly had put the brakes on that idea for a while, but with things now on the upturn and me taking early retirement again with the help of COVID, now my thoughts are back on track. Back in the early 2000’s I rode a scooter (a Honda Click) all over Phuket and with the intention to one day to tour all of Thailand by bike (scooter) as I had been following a chap on youtube who had toured Thailand on a second hand Honda postie bike, again thanks, I think you have put me on the right path with the Honda ADV350 not too big, not too small, Cheers Michael
Awesome video Bro! Honda owes you a fee for the great review you gave. I must say a guy that has a channel there got a better price for his 160. But other than that it really helped!
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful. I've seen ADV 160 out the door prices range as low as ฿103,800 at Asia City Motors (Nobody speaks English Thai Area) and as high as I paid at Mityon ฿111,000. $206 difference.
I'm happy you liked the video. The ADV160 is sold in the US, with discounted leftover ADV150s at dealerships. Unfortunately, the ADV350, the one we all want in the U.S., is not available.
Been waiting 350 to enter Malaysia for quite some time now but eventually can't wait any longer and end up getting 160. Commuting to work daily total 100 km. Have to say, getting the 160 is the right decision.
Yo same here man, I daily about 80km and I'm getting around 45kmpl which is pretty good. I'd say much better and cheaper than paying for public transport. I would however love to try the 350 seems heavy for my 60kg ass tho lol
Hi Jake, i live in Indonesia (Jakarta), when more bad street structure here, like hole, etc, then i choose ADV 160 (at past i use NVX 155 or Aerox 155 in my country (name)), so ADV 160 is good motorbike for everyday, go to office, visit new place at other city and i modified to make this motorbike comfort then before, like seat, higher steer rudder and the tire (Michellin City Extra). Nice to know you Jake and good video. My apologies if my English is bad. Thank you Jake.
Hello, your English is excellent. It sounds like Indonesian roads are very similar to Thailand's. I just put the Michelin City Grip 2 on my XMAX. Much improved handling and ride over the stock tires.
I have a mlo 125 and looking at the adv 160 to upgrade too!! (Philippines) My 125 does good, but lack the power with my heavy butt. (260) Plus having my lady on the back, climbing hills is hard on it. Good review I'm sold on it for sure. I only ride 1 month out year when I go there from the usa but my girl would ride it daily. And yes I travel over 8 hours on my 125. Lol 😅
Great review, I’m in the states and have the Adv 150 which I love but thinking of moving up. Not sure if I can even get a 350 here but enjoyed learning the real differences between the two.
Thanks! 👊🏼 I purchased the Yamaha XMAX 300 in the US since I split my time between Thailand and the US. I like the bigger scooter for riding on the better and faster US roads. Unfortunately, the ADV 350 is not available in the US. Asia and Europe get everything. I did a quick XMAX review you might find interesting. th-cam.com/video/1exbGJqsyao/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r2LDRup_A2geqqtv
This is best review to compare between these 2 bikes. Along with the technical aspects I was impressed how he have addressed and compared the practical day to day concerns. I would love to see you also create a video to compare xmax and nmax.
every aspect you mentioned .great .as a kymco 400 owner, parking factor is a trade off with its bigger size.but if you paid for extra comfort and longer breath of power as you travel longer journey, its worth it.its annoying to hear smaller engine screams cruising at 110km/h.bigger engines hadn’t struggling a lot at that speed.
I almost purchased the Kymco AK 550 in the US. I purchased the Yamaha XMAX 300 instead because I'm familiar with Yamaha reliability, and there are far more Yamaha dealerships for parts and service in the US. How long have you had your Kymco? How reliable is it, and how is the overall quality?
Adv160 doesn't scream at 110 kph 😅 Mine can reach 120 kph with a pillion and a topbox full of stuff with ease. It actually becomes more smooth at higher speed. going uphill is where it struggles a little bit.
Nice review! I upgraded from a second hand 2018 NMax to a new ADV160. For Bangkok riding mainly around Sukhumvit, the ADV is perfect. We only take the car for highway trips so we have zero need for a bigger bike. BKK traffic is too hectic for a 350. But if we lived in a province I'd look at the 350 for sure. My girlfriend hated the NMax as it killed her cooch any time we hit a bump 😂 We both love the much better suspension and smoother ride of the ADV160. I'm 6'1 and feel great on the ADV. I've ridden 125 and 160 Clicks but hate the seat angle where I feel like I'm always falling forwards and my knees hit the front. Got a 55L aluminium top box on the back, which I know decreases the pu$$y magnet rating 😅 But who cares, it's a scooter in the end, and I love the functionality. I agree about the clicky turn signal button! But otherwise it's a good looking and well made scooter. The dark matte red is the best colour by far, so you chose well there too 😉
Thanks! 👊🏼 We're in a similar situation; we only use Gig's car for long trips. Driving the car in Pattaya is miserable. I like the idea of adding a top box to the 160.
I have the ADV 150 here in Korat. I’ve just reached 5,000 kilometers. I feel like I need the 350 but I never take long trips. Better to just keep the 150 for now. May be next year.
Man maybe one day honda will bring the 350 to the states. I love the 160 but having to commute on an interstate with a 75 mph speed limit kind of prohibits me from getting one. An ADV 200 would be really sweet too.
I grew up on 150cc Lambrettas (circa the 60's) and was a lot smaller guy back then. I'd buy a Honda 350ADV to replace my current motorcycles in a heartbeat if I could get one in the USA. We RV a lot, and as I age, I wish for a scooter I can do both the back roads and run into town down the highway on one with the wife. I love the simplicity. And loading it on the RV would be a lot easier. Plus I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs with a 100 wife. So the 150 will never do for us.
I really liked your video with the little touch of humor at the end😁. I subscribe to your channel👍 Do you know when the ADV 350 2024 will be released in Thailand?
New subscriber, I have the Click 160 for Pattaya, it's great. I'm about 70Kg and it pulls away from Sukhumvit traffic lights quite fast, If I go from Pattaya Tai towards Pattaya Nua its good to leave the cars and trucks behind at the lights, toyed with the idea of an ADV, but around town, to me the 160 Click is perfect. I live in Wong Amat and in recent years the amount of traffic has increased dramatically, with the mass ( Chinese, Indian, Russian ) group tourism, and the buses that brings, bikes are essential in Pattaya. I put YSS springs in the forks and a YSS adjustable shock on the rear, transformed it, no more floaty feeling at the front, I have the ABS model with discs front and rear, good stopping power with such a light bike.
Got my1200sporster added rear shock lay down ride better than a dresser now. But do lots of short city juncks thinking of the Honda @25 trail Mac price of 4k but Tifton Honda wants 5500. No freaking way I pay that much. Great fuel mileage is I looking for. But 5500 no dang way trying find a Yamaha dealer near Tifton ga
I wish they make a 250 Adv, scooter is so much fun going for ride. Just did a round trip from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Koh Samui, Thailand on the Honda PCX150 scooter.. more power would be great. The 350 is just a bit heavy for a scooter in my opinion.
another excellent review. Super well done. I don't understand the purpose of the 350--fatter in any traffic, not sure what the demographic is for it (road trips?)
You should rent an ADV 350 and 160 for a few days. The bigger scooters are very nice for road trips; they have more power, are more stable at high speeds, and have a bigger storage compartment. August is low tourist season, so you should be able to find these to rent.
Good review. Was looking at the 160 in the shop yesterday. Have you done a helmet review? I have looked at a few heat humidity cost bulk build quality it all gets a bit overwhelming. However, with the injury death rate of scooter riders here in Thailand need to get a safe sturdy helmet. Cheers
Thank you! I haven't done a helmet review. That's a good idea. I use an open-face 3/4 helmet in Thailand, primarily due to the heat. I have a full-face helmet that I rarely wear; it's extremely hot. The quality overall is not as good as I can find in the US, but I am riding at much slower speeds in Thailand. The cost for one of the best 3/4 helmets is usually less than $40 every place I've been. I personally avoid riding at night in busy tourist areas. All of my close crash encounters have been at night in those areas. Alcohol, tourists riding scooters and chaotic traffic.
Nice comparison, Jake. Im thai and I live in Bangkok. I am buying one of these bikes and you actually saved lot of my time. I'm a programmer and I only go out to gym with my sisters ( they are twins) I was thinking if the 350 would be easier for me to carry them but after watching your video , I imagine dragging the bike through the traffic with the weight and it's a "hell, no" One thing I would like to ask you is what's your thoughts on AVD 160 vs Nmax ? let's forget about the price, what's the offers that one can offer and the other can't?
Thank you! That's a great question. I should do a comparison between the ADV160 and NMAX. The ADV160 has better ride quality and handles bad road conditions much better. The NMAX feels like a small scooter with its covered and narrow handlebars, while the ADV feels more like a small dirt bike due to the wide handlebars and seating position. Comfort and rider confidence go to the ADV160, while refinement goes to the NMAX. Function is always more important than appearance. However, while I think the XMAX is one of the best-looking scooters, I think the NMAX is one of the ugliest-looking scooters. The ADV160 looks much better. They are both very good scooters, but It's the ride quality that's the big stand out factor for me.
Nice one. Thank you. I live in Brussels and when I know I will find thick commuting traffic, its the PCX125 all day, when less so, my G650GS. But I fancy something more 'bike' feel than the PCX125. So it looks like it's the 160 for me 😂
The ADV 350 is the perfect mix of motorcycle and scooter for me. The practicality and enjoyment of a scooter with a motorcycle vibe. It's a nice size for a person who can only own one motorbike.
Cool review. Basically what I need. I was thinking between this 2 scooter but because mainly I will use for trips, longer ride 350 will be better for me. I have a smaller scooter to go around Pattaya so I don't have to worry about going around with the 350. I was hesitating just to buy the 160 but this review show me 350 will be the better option.
Hey Jake just got my adv 160 in Bangkok I love it ! Regarding helmets should I go full face, modular, or open face with visor? My rides are no longer than 45 min. I rarely go over 80kmph.
A dual-visor open-faced helmet is the most comfortable for everyday riding. I only wear a full-face helmet when riding big CC motorbikes at highway speeds when testing high-speed performance. Open-face helmets allow more airflow and give better peripheral visibility, which is much better for hot, congested city traffic.
I'm also in Pattaya and looking to get a bike soon. Great video! This will be my first bike and I'm looking between the ADV 160 and the PCX 160, any thoughts or insights I might need to consider? Thanks
I'm happy you liked the video. The ADV 160 suspension is better. Ride quality is the most important thing for me. I also think the PCX looks dated overall, "pimp my ride" look. I like the Click 160 and ADV 160 more than the new PCX. The engine and drive train of the PCX feel the same as the ADV. I should do a PCX video. th-cam.com/video/O4NgaDr8rpY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xSjnNvsDkt8RLVB3
Unfortunately I haven't found a new Forza to ride. The last Forza 350 I rode was a 2020 model. I tried liking the Forza, but riding on these Thailand roads the ride quality was poor. The XMAX 300 ride quality was better. The ADV 350 by far has the best ride quality. The Forza is also a very hot ride in this climate. It's like riding around in a tub, guaranteed swamp butt. The ADV 350 is a much cooler ride.
I'm currently looking for a 2023 XMAX I can ride. The ADV 350 is overall much better than my 2021 XMAX 300. I hope the new XMAX has enough improvements to make a comparison interesting.
I assume you're asking about the ADV 160 since the ADV 350 isn't sold in the US. I've ridden the ADV 160 in cool weather in north Thailand, but never cold. Riding in the northern US, the XMAX, KYMCO, and others with much larger fairings and wind protection are better. Riding my XMAX in cold weather with the windscreen all the up in the US is comfortable. Riding an ADV160 in cold weather in the city would be ok, but any speed over 35 mph would be uncomfortable but doable.
ADV160 if you plan on living in Bangkok for sure-100%! The 350 for anywhere else in Thailand; Reason being that the AFD350 is just too big to be lane splitting in between cars in Bangkok, thus you constantly getting stuck in that horrific BKK traffic. I’ve warned you :)
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple iv had it for 1 year. I have had to modify the suspensjon in front and back. The rest of bike is ok I guess. But looking forward to getting rid of it
I have the Aerox 160. had some mechanical problems, so tried the ADV 160. Compared to the Aerox, suspension is way smoother, that is an enormous difference! I live also around Pattaya, and some roads, try the left side of railway, can give you bumps. Brakes are also in another league. Bit more comfort in the ADV. BUT, the Aerox is more sport, and I miss really something in the ADV : acceleration! Not only to turn on a road, but also to go through the traffic, between cars. The ADV is a bit larger, to go in between. For longer distances, the Aerox, may be sport and fun, but it is also more tyring, than the smoother ADV 160. Now my Aerox is made in top condition again, but trying to sell it, and then buy a ADV 160. My Aerox is from 2017, hope somebody is interested.
Nope. I was very happy with the Aerox, and miss the power now on the ADV 160. But at 64, the ADV is just more comfortable and more relax on highways.@@KingHarryCMotia
Issue with the ADV is the handlebars and width of the motor bike vs a more traditional flat floor scooter like the Honda Lead. It’s not easy to lane split and manage through tight traffic
I'm up in Udon at the moment shopping for bikes so I re-visited your great review which I originally watched several weeks ago - I noticed your conclusion was based on the best option for both you and Gig, but would you have also gone for the 160 if the bike was solely for your own use with the occasional pillion passenger?
Coincidence, I'm in Udon Thani, Nong Saeng right now. If I lived in Udon Thani I would get the ADV 350, easy decision. Living in Pattaya the decision is much tougher. If Gig wasn't with me I would probably still be stuck trying to decide. The 160 is no doubt better in heavy city traffic, and the availability of big scooters and motorcycles to rent in Pattaya is excellent. I believe I would still have purchased the ADV 160, and then rent a big bike on the rare occasions I need it.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple It's tough - my heart is telling me to go with something like the Honda Scrambler, Rebel 300, or CRF - they are so cheap here compared to back home. But when I test rode the Honda Scrambler and Hunter 350 the other day, the rubber mark I got on my new shoes from the gear changers was the clincher - ADV350 for me!
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple I think you're right Jake. My wife and I were in a dealer yesterday who happened to have the Rebel, Scrambler, CRF and ADV 350 all on the showroom floor - so me and the missus were able to rotate between all 4 to try the seating arrangements, and she was blown away by the space and comfort on the ADV seat compared to the others
It suits all riding and road conditions, including highway, city, gravel, and two-track dirt roads. However, I wouldn't ride it off-road like a dirt bike.
Never wear your shoes in a Thai home, he says after parking his scooter in her shop. Haha! You make a good case for having a 350 and a 160. I already have an Aerox, so maybe retain that and replace my KTM 390 with a 350. I suspect if I did that I'd ride the 350 all the time as I live in the far north. Nick
Definitely one of the best review videos for ADV 350 vs ADV 160, thank you!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
After riding a variety of small scooters over a number of years in Thailand (110 - 160 cc engines) I bought an ADV 350 about a week ago. Here is my verdict in the context of your own excellent review:
1. I think the improved posture and upright riding position is also the reason my wife keeps saying I look 'really cool' on the new bike 😆
2. This is not always because my bike is faster than the cars but also due to the way Thais drive, hesitant and indecisive - by the time they make their minds up I am gone
3. As we are in constant contact with the road surface, the difference that the Showa forks and suspension makes to the quality of the riding experience can not be over-stated - my wife loves riding pillion now due to the smoother ride and never bottoming out the suspension - in fact, the suspension on this bike is actually improved with a pillion passenger
I think the ADV 350 is perfect for Udon.
This is one of the best review videos for Honda ADVs here in TH-cam. Looking forward to the next level ADV350 vs X-ADV 750.
Thanks! I've lived with both; I should do a 350 vs 750 video.

You're welcome, and you will love the ADV 160.
I had a similar experience as you. I purchased an XMAX for my US ride after many years of riding 1000cc sport bikes. Scooters are much more fun and practical for everyday commuting.
Woahh I was waiting for this video, finally you did it. Keep up with the great content Jake.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I have the ADV 160 and it is a solid bike I was thinking of buying the ADV350 but now after seeing this video im staying with 160 thank you
You're welcome. I'm glad the video was helpful. 👊🏼
I m seeing your review about Adv 160 and waiting for this product launch in India.
The looks and power of the machine is incredible.
The ADV 160 is excellent, a good scooter for India. 🇮🇳
Activa 7g is waiting for us.no adv🤣🤣🤣
We have a PCX 160 and told my wife the samething...the bike is so light that any movement from her affects the steering at slow speed. That ADV 350 looks fantastic. Thanks for the review.
You're welcome! 🙏🏼
I still periodically have to remind Gig to stop moving around while we are maneuvering through slow traffic on a small CC scooter. Lol
The best comparison review! Im in the states and loving my 160. Its a keeper for sure, I have an aluminum top box so plenty of space. My other bike is a cb500x for the longer hauls and if I want more power and clutch action. My adv though gets far more miles because its soo convenient and practical.
That's a nice combo with the 500x and 160. I love the scooters for the everyday jump-on-and-go use.
Tough decision. If it wasn't for Gig, I would still be stuck.
Good buy price on the ADV. 👍🏼
I agree about the NMAX.
Will definitely try out the 350 in Europe and maybe if I get crazy enough - would get it on top of my 150 there )
The longer I own my ADV 160, the more I love it. I like your idea of keeping the 150. I plan on keeping my 160 no matter what I buy next.
Really great review! Thanks for showcasing Gig on what she would look like on the ADV 160!
You're welcome, and thank you!
Thanks you just convinced me to add these models to my wife's bike rental business on Koh Lanta, which is mostly big bike (Duicati, MV, harley etc) orientated, but we agree these bikes are great for people to rent or buy in Thailand if scooters are your choice, and safe to ride.
That's great! 👊🏼
Great video.
I’m a new rider and rode the 160 today in Thailand
It rained and was a 30 minute ride.
There was an accident behind me and it was certainly an experience.
Thanks, I'm happy you liked it! I've been caught in the rain during rainy season so many times I gave up checking the forecast. Lol
Thanks for sharing! I get more and more sure that the ADV160 is the bike/scooter for me.
You're welcome. 🙏🏼
I own the adv 160 for about 8 months and I can say it’s the best purchase decision that I’d made this year lol
Awesome! 👊🏼
Awesome review! No BS, right to the point...real world 'points' regarding usability, function, pros and cons. Brilliant!!
Thank you! 👊🏼
Jake I just watched a brilliant video from "Riding the islands with Harro!" "Honda ADV 160 review". The first thing he did was swap out the CVT. Much better acceleration, a little loss of top end. Cost 7,000P. Excellent video for lots of other mods he did. Cam
Nice! Thank you for sharing that info, Cam. I'll go check out the video.
What is CVT?
@@indieke continuously variable transmission.
i've tried adv350 in chiangmai , really love this bike right away, easy to handle , and the power is there for stop and go
It's one of my all time favorite motorbikes.
Another good comparison! Personally I'd have to go with 350 but we don't get as hectic traffic here and I also love to go on open road whenever possible. That said, off-road capabilities would also come in handy. Love this bike - thank you!
You're welcome, and thank you. 🙏🏼
Hey, I love your videos, please make a video to compare adv 160 vs pcx 160
Thanks! 🙏🏼 I'll make that video as soon as I can get my hands on a newer PCX.
Fantastic review. 🎉
The word ‘OBLIGATED’ got me thinking hard for my next choices of bikes. Thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you, and you're welcome. 👊🏼
Very informative with all the relevant info, just the way you detail the riders height needed for each bike is super handy to know, plus power weight and price and most of all what they are like to live with in all sorts of scenarios is brilliant, well done I have subscribed.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
the comparison I've been waiting for! currently using adv 160 and I can say it is a great scooter. can't wait for adv 350/250 launch in my country
Same with me, hoping 350 comes to US
Which country do you live in?
The 350 would be a great scooter for the US market.
I've seen similar regulations in other countries. I feel lucky to live in Thailand where all the big cc scooters and motorcycles are available.
Thank you for these vids mate. I work as a delivery driver in Greece and as a 6.5 ft dude adv 350 is the only one I work comfortably.
They didnt bring the 160 in EU ....
You're welcome. 🙏🏼
Great comparison, thanks for that.
I rode the ADV 350 for a day, great scooter, but for city traffic jam, parking etc. it´s too big and heavy.
I would be interested in the 160, but unfortunately it´s not available in Europe / Germany, and I doubt it ever will be.
So I steáy with my old SH 150, which ist fine too 👍
Thank you, and you're welcome. 🙏🏼
Awesome video Jake! I rented ADV 350 for a weekend trip and it was great but I was happy to jump back on PCX when I returned back to the city traffic.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great review, thanks for the detail, definitely getting one of these now for Vietnam
Thank you!
Thanks for the reviews, appreciated!
My pleasure!
This is such a top notch review. Thanks.
Thank you, and you're welcome. 👊🏼
dude, randomly i love the focal lenght effect at 9.45 to 9.50, no way the background bigger looks amazing haha
I wondered if anybody would notice that. Lol 👊🏼
Thank you. 🙏🏼 I purchased a set of lighter variator rollers for the 160. I'll change them out when I get back to Thailand.
Awesome 👊🏼. The 350 will be perfect for touring. I love riding here.
I like the prices for lightly used as well. What do you think of the Aerox?
I really appreciate this review. I don't think they are selling both of these in the States, but I want a 350.
I'm happy you liked the video. The ADV160 is sold in the US, with discounted leftover ADV150s at dealerships. Unfortunately, the ADV350, the one we all want in the U.S., is not available.
Cool video. I am thinking of getting a 160 in a couple of years.
Thanks! It should be easy to find a good deal on a used one by then.
Thank you, very informative and I think I'll get the 160 as well!
You're welcome. you'll love that 160.
Thank you Im 5”3 now I have seen same my height riding in ADV 350
You're welcome. Perfect coincidence Gig is 5'3". 👊🏼
Been waiting 350 to enter Malaysia for quite some time now but eventually can't wait any longer and end up getting 160. Commuting to work daily total 100 km. Have to say, getting the 160 is the right decision.
Awesome! And cheaper on gas and maintenance than the 350. 👊🏼
Yo same here man, I daily about 80km and I'm getting around 45kmpl which is pretty good. I'd say much better and cheaper than paying for public transport. I would however love to try the 350 seems heavy for my 60kg ass tho lol
A big help video. Great vid!
Thank you! I'm happy it was helpful.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Where did you buy them Jake, in Pattaya or online ?
@@maigo6 I purchased them on Amazon. My XMAX is in the U.S.
I have a mlo 125 and looking at the adv 160 to upgrade too!!

My 125 does good, but lack the power with my heavy butt. (260)
Plus having my lady on the back, climbing hills is hard on it.
Good review I'm sold on it for sure.
I only ride 1 month out year when I go there from the usa but my girl would ride it daily. And yes I travel over 8 hours on my 125. Lol 😅
The ADV 160 will be a very nice upgrade.
Lovely description...

I love this comparison video. How I wish the 350 would be available here in the Philippines.
Thanks! 🙏🏼
I'm surprised it's not in the Philippines yet.
Thank you! XMAX vs NMAX is a good comparison idea, thanks. 👊🏼
G’day, Great episode, I was of 2 minds about theses scooters, you have sorted that out for me thanks, Cheers Michael
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful. 🙏🏼
every aspect you mentioned .great .as a kymco 400 owner, parking factor is a trade off with its bigger size.but if you paid for extra comfort and longer breath of power as you travel longer journey, its worth it.its annoying to hear smaller engine screams cruising at 110km/h.bigger engines hadn’t struggling a lot at that speed.
It's definitely one of the better reviews.
Thanks! 👊🏼
NIce video mate. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Great video! Keep up the good work.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I have the ADV 150 here in Korat. I’ve just reached 5,000 kilometers. I feel like I need the 350 but I never take long trips. Better to just keep the 150 for now. May be next year.
I might get a 350 next year also. The 30 to 40 minute trips we take to surrounding towns every few weeks would be a better ride on the 350.
This is great and love the shoes mention!
Man maybe one day honda will bring the 350 to the states. I love the 160 but having to commute on an interstate with a 75 mph speed limit kind of prohibits me from getting one. An ADV 200 would be really sweet too.
I agree. The US needs more big cc scooters for the faster roads. That's why I own an XMAX in the US.
I subscribe to your channel👍
Do you know when the ADV 350 2024 will be released in Thailand?
Thank you. 🙏🏼 I don't know the 2024 model release date yet. I'll post here as soon as I find out.
I was just informed by a salesperson at Mityon in Pattaya that the 2024 model will arrive in the spring of 2024.
Nice! Thanks for sharing the suspension upgrade. 🙏🏼

The reviews are very realistic, I like that
I'm happy you like the reviews! 🙏🏼
I have the ADV150 and a Burgman 400. I love them both.

Thanks, and I agree. 👊🏼
good review. i am in dilemma which one to get. Thanks for the detail review.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
Great review! Any chance to compare 160 with Aprilia 200?
Thank you. I'd love to do that comparison if I can find an Aprilla to ride.
I wish they sold the 350 in the US...
Me too.
Or the 750
If they did the price will be expensive to where it almost be easier just to buy an actual motorcycle.
A 250cc engine in the ADV 160 small size would be perfect! That's a long trip on a PCX150. 580 miles, awesome! 👌🏼
another excellent review.
The 350 not being available in the US kills me. Hands down the coolest looking scooter. ):
We may get the 350 in the US someday. 🙏🏼.
quads look amazing brother👍
Thanks! 👊🏼
Nice comparison, Jake. Im thai and I live in Bangkok. I am buying one of these bikes and you actually saved lot of my time. I'm a programmer and I only go out to gym with my sisters ( they are twins)
I was thinking if the 350 would be easier for me to carry them but after watching your video , I imagine dragging the bike through the traffic with the weight and it's a "hell, no"
One thing I would like to ask you is what's your thoughts on AVD 160 vs Nmax ? let's forget about the price, what's the offers that one can offer and the other can't?
Great review.. thanks!
Thank you, and thanks for watching! 👊🏼
Excellent review 🎈🍻

@@JakeSnowLiveSimple thanks so much for replying. One more question; do the brakes automatically apply when the side stand is pulled down?
@@amarecano You're welcome. No, the brakes do not apply when the side stand is down.

Thank you. 🙏🏼

Thank you. 🙏🏼 I let Gig choose the location. Lol
headed back stateside, currently in the Phills... hope the green prices ( 6:50 ) represent US prices
I wish prices were like that in the US. The ADV160 "out the door" is double the price in the US.
Great review video! Do you happen to know the difference between the new 350 ADV (like the one you are testing) and the new Forza 350?
Unfortunately I haven't found a new Forza to ride. The last Forza 350 I rode was a 2020 model. I tried liking the Forza, but riding on these Thailand roads the ride quality was poor. The XMAX 300 ride quality was better. The ADV 350 by far has the best ride quality. The Forza is also a very hot ride in this climate. It's like riding around in a tub, guaranteed swamp butt. The ADV 350 is a much cooler ride.
Waiting for the comparison of ADV 350 and XMAX 300..
I'm currently looking for a 2023 XMAX I can ride. The ADV 350 is overall much better than my 2021 XMAX 300. I hope the new XMAX has enough improvements to make a comparison interesting.
How does it perform in cold weather conditions? Like the Norhtwest of the US?
I agree with you. 👌🏼
have a GPX drone 150 atm. But when i return to thailand i am torn between the ADV 160 and 350. As for the GPX, i cant wait to get rid of it.
How is the build quality of that Drone?
I feel the exact same as you about the Aerox vs ADV 160.
They are targeting a different consumer, it only means the aerox is not for you
Exactly, too tiny.
Nope. I was very happy with the Aerox, and miss the power now on the ADV 160. But at 64, the ADV is just more comfortable and more relax on highways.@@KingHarryCMotia
@@indieke you mean the aerox has more power but on paper it was the asv 160 that has a better power and torque?
I would love to see your review, thoughts on the BMW 400gt ?
I would love to find one to ride. I'm very curious how it compares.
Issue with the ADV is the handlebars and width of the motor bike vs a more traditional flat floor scooter like the Honda Lead. It’s not easy to lane split and manage through tight traffic
That's true.
@@paulietv2162 You'll love that ADV 350.
Can you ride the 160 around Thailand? Off road and on road too? I never ride a motorbike before
It suits all riding and road conditions, including highway, city, gravel, and two-track dirt roads. However, I wouldn't ride it off-road like a dirt bike.
Very good comparison video Thanks
You're welcome, and thank you! 🙏🏼
Nick
Good plan. You'll love the ADV 350.
