I don’t even play WoW but that gameplay with the green screen effect on ur orb weaver & mouse plus the choice of music has to be one of the best pieces of gameplay content I’ve ever seen produced. Bravo!

I use my orb-weaver completely different. i use the thumb D-pad to move and all other keys as abilities... Then i use a mod like Bartender dominions or elvui to modify the way the keys are displayed like the weaver so i can have a visual representation on the screen for abilities. At this moment i probably dont need that anymore, but it still have it that way. My top button on the thumb is Alt, space bar is Crtl - and button 1 on the mouse is my jump.
I'd buy an orbweaver right away, sadly i also have a disability.. i'm lefthanded :

I've been stressing lately because I want a new set up but my left pinky finger has been broken and bent for 15 years after I almost chopped it off with a hedge trimmer (semi intentionally)! Seeing you being able to use and adore this device with a missing pinky has really eased my anxiety, I'll get one. Thanks!

The scroll wheel is why I did not upgrade from my Nostromo, but now that the Tartarus V2 has brought it back I am considering upgrading and getting a Naga Trinity at the same time.
I hated PvP because of the inability to hit all the combinations I needed in a quick enough manner, but I've been looking for something like this and, I'm seriously glad I came across your video. I could actually enjoy PvP with this. I'm sending this video to my wife right now so she knows what I'm wanting. Thanks man!

What keyboard have you got? I've got Razer Anansi Keyboard and a Razer Naga Mouse. Might get the Orbweaver Chroma. I Looked at the price and I thought ..."Oh.". I stretch my fingers with q,e, r f. Then my stuns + extra abilities with T1, T5, T2, T3, T4 and T7.
As a person whose fingers start feeling cramps whenever I press the control or alt keys I can honestly say that this an attractive modifier option

I use the top row primarily for CC. It’s the same on every character and every class, so I always know where my CCs are.
The second and third rows from the top are my primary buttons. And from there I can easily go up or down one row and access all buttons.
I also use one button on the Orbweaver as the modifier for the Naga.
People don’t realize how OP this setup is. And every time I try to explain it to someone they dismiss it and explain how their keyboard setup works for them. They don’t get it.
it's incredible that we invented the keyboard for text input only and it evolved into many different things!

It would be awesome if they made a mouse like that razor orbweaver. That would have all those buttons on top and you could move it around like a mouse. I have mmo mouses with the ten keys on the side but I don't like them much. The ten keys are too small and feel awkward to use with my thumb.
I dont know how about you but I use my thumb on Z,X,C,V,B,N and also space

I use my thumb for all of those except for z, x, and c. I feel like it's easier to use your ring and pointer finger for those.
I use the thumbstick for walking. it made the perfect blend of controller and keys for me.

As someone who cannot stand playing with anything other than PERFECT keybindings, this is such a cool idea. Making so much more use of the thumbs. I could see a future gaming console having its standard controllers like this.

Dunno if this was possible when he made the video, but you can do the heroic leap macro in WoW and don't need to use razor synapse. Simple put /cast [@cursor] Heroic Leap. This is also really good for aoe dps abilities like flamestrike for mages. /cast [@cursor] Flamestrike allows you to speed up your dps and make it so you don't have to click the left mouse button.

Yes but you cant expect your character to walk in 360 degree angle, you will still move as if it was awsd, it works exactly like a D-pad so when you click A and W at the same time youll be walking in a 45 degrees between A's and W's direction

Necro'ing this thread. You missed a trick here. That thumb key isn't for just 4/8 buttons, it's to bind your movement keys to. So all movement is now controlled by your thumb.
That now leaves all those lovely buttons to bind to your action bar, with the furthest left bound to tab target, shift, alt, jump. Under your 12 action bar buttons are 3 keys, can bind to stances, forms, or target symbols.
You now have all movement and 3 action bars on just your Tarterus or Orbweaver. Your Naga buttons are now free for alternate uses - healers go crazy with your down ranked spells without having to fill up your action bars.
Hey I have a naga chroma too but the colours are very glitchy and often the logo displays the wrong colour, any hints how to fix it? The orbweaver looks so cool :O~

ummmm on minecraft i play on a server called hypixel and i play ranked skywars and i use my thumb to jump and toggle perspective
I started with the Tartarus and a Naga. It is crazy how much this changed my gaming experience. The reason it works so well is that it minimizes your hand/wrist movements. I totally feel you not being able to play without it. I did finally move to the Tartarus v2, but the sticky key issues made me get an orbweaver so I could go back to Synapses 2.0. So to all of you that have thought about getting one and just have not yet, get one while you still can!!!
@Robert Longsworth I just graduated to getting the Naga Tartarus V2 in an attempt to improve my gaming. As well got a new 12 Button UtechSmart MMO Mouse. Taking a while to get used to the small mouse buttons and wish a slightly bigger mouse. Properly setting up the gamepad is taking some work as well getting used to. At first I was trying to get an orbweaver but none on Amazon and way more expensive than the Tartarus V2 was in price.
@@ardentdfender4116 I am not familiar with that mouse. I felt the same way about the naga. I switched to the corsair scimitar because the buttons are a bit bigger and you can move the thumb keys 8mm. I have used my Tartarus for years love it, have the orb weaver now.

Yes, your video is being watched 2 years later. I just learned of the Tartarus & Orbweaver today. This is something I have been wanting for years now. Maybe the State will approve my Disability Case and I can finally get these. Thank you for both explaining and showing them in use. And I play Guild Wars 2 just so you know. :)

I bought one of the original models for the Orb weaver. I was so ingrained with keyboard gaming that I couldn't transition over to the keypad. I wish there was videos out like this one back then. I am sure I would have been successful in changing over from keyboard. But no one I knew had one and I couldn't really get a good feel for where things should be positioned. But for anyone out there thinking of getting one of these. I would recommend doing BGs and PvP non-rated to get your muscle memory going. I hate to be that guy but its easier to not care in a rando BG what your performance will be like. Because your end goal is to get muscle memory to kick in. And PvP is great for doing that. Maybe I will buy another one someday and give it another shot.

The thumbstick cannot be set to 8 binds. The diagonal inputs are formed by combining the 4 base inputs, so you'll always end up pressing keys you don't want to. It's best to use the thumbstick for WASD movement imo.

I use the thumbstick to move forward backward or strafe frees up all the regular keys for hot buttons and of course the mouse for turning.
This was an amazing video. I'm relatively new to the WoW scene, and I haven't even touched pvp, but watching you just dominate everything may be one of my new favorite things to do!
I wish the thumbpad was slightly bigger and shaped similar to a d-pad so it would be easier to hit the diagonals. I would want to be able to use it to switch weapons in an arena shooter but too many times I hit the diagonal, and when i take my finger off it clicks one of the directions right next to it and pulls out the wrong weapon.

I was struggling trying to move with the small joystick and putting the spells on the keypad. mouse was for targeting enemy/party. Instead secret is using qwes to move and use the joystick as a reliable modifier to multiply the spells on the 12 buttons mouse. Basically u use other fingers to move and only the thumbs to select and cast spells. Stronger fingers on the casting, all the others to the move/camera. Basically both the movement and the casting are divided on the two hands that collaborate while thumbs shoot. Brilliant. Thanks buddy!!!!
People saying how your thumb only jumps, I use my entire 2nd to bottom row(z-m) with my thumb (also alt), and my hand is shifted 1 over (from WASD to ESDF) so I have a lot more control

I am currently playing ESO. I have a hard time using WASD to move and switching to the numbers for abilities. I always have to look at the keyboard to get my hand back into position.... I tried a 12 button mouse like your naga... Its the Logitech.. the buttons are too small. If they had one with 6 buttons instead of 12 that would be perfect.... Bleh idk what to do

Swifty i can undestand why you love the Orbweaver, I personally utilize Razer's anansi due to the addition to 7 preset keys just below the jump button which goes nicely with my Naga

The PvP sequence was interesting to watch as it looked like the music was synced in time with the Orbweaver's keypresses and being played by it.
only bad thing in orb weaver what i dont personally like is that slimy rubber where you place you hand. i had to place some cloth there to get better feel.

I use the orbweaver also and i can do you one better. I use the thumb "joystick" (i guess) for character movement. You can only go in one direction at a time right? So it works beautifully in competitive shooters, mmo's, you name it. This way you have all of the upper keys to do whatever you want.

My thumb jumps, and uses V and B as hotkeys. I always bind RTFGVB for more hotkeys. Far more comfortable than the out of the way macro keys on the left. I have 22 macro keys on my keyboard and I don't use a single one of them.
Been using an orbweaver for some time now, It's more erogonamic and doesn't strain your hand.

Agree with most everything, except that your thumb only uses the space key...I use the "C" key for crouch in all fps, and "V" for prone or crouch in some games. =) Great video Swifty! Thanks!!

I think the other difference between the orbweaver and tartarus is that orb has mechanical keyswitches while tart has membrane

Really enjoyed your video. I use my orbweaver like a quotron machine with hotkeys for trading stocks. I certainly don't know everything there is about binding commands so I hope you don't mind if at a later date I could ask some questions in order to become more proficient. I am also waiting on my Naga to add more versatility for added commands. keep up the good work.

Another thing I'm wondering does it have a usb port so I can plug my mouse into it? I'm using what I have now on PS4 with Mayfair and it's limited I have about 5 extra buttons on my mouse I can't use.

Nega Hex is the best mouse personally. Has 6 larger sized buttons that are much easier to spam and access without mis clicking small buttons.
I use the Naga and Black Widow ultimate... would you say the orbweaver would be beneficial to me even if I was able to use the shift, ctrl and even an alt modifier with the black widow?
