Prior to the update I had the wheelbase true force at 100 and the in game vibration at 35 as LogiRich recommends and I loved it.
After the update, LogiRich recommended in game vibration maxed at 150, but I found it to be too aggressive compared to the update. So I’m running it at 100 now and I find it’s perfect. Even more noticeable than pre-pre update. I’m actually confused by everyone’s comments on this.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource

I have a Logitech G pro which I loved the extra revving, curbing and shifting rumbles only G Pro provided, yet… After a month of joy my Logitech G Pro wheel lost its connection to the base therefore it became broken… Since I live in a country with draconian custom legislation I could not receive any help from Logitech.
Therefore I bought a Fanatech DD+, obviously fullforce still not being implemented, I missed those extra rumblings a lot yet found relatively more informatif force feedback settings on DD+.
    My guess is:
Since those extra rumblings require a lot of force to be produced far more faster, they may wear out the wheel connection and/or base motor far more than usual force feedback.
So, all the companies involved may still scratching their heads about how to implement those jolty feedbacks without destroying the mechanisms (Those could be so powerful so they can shake the whole cage!)

I have a dedicated rig for my PS5 and there were a half dozen times or so in the past, when booting up the game, it was like my G-pro wasn't fully recognized. The full 11N/m was present. Absolutely no Trueforce. Very numb feeling. I simply rebooted the game and wheel and everything was fine. I initially thought that maybe turning on the wheel before the console or poor connections was causing the issue but I never really figured out why that was happening.
After the 1.49 update, there is no mistaking the feel for those previous "anomalies". The wheel feels just like those times.
I would describe it as it's connecting like a generic controller.
No matter how much you play with the settings it will make very little difference in feel. I am also convinced there is simply NO Trueforce implementaion at all.
Another thing is..I remember with a previous update, GT7 dialed back the FFB strength for fear of people being injured with Direct Drive wheels with peaks being like 6.0Nm and averages 3.5-4.5. Now all of a sudden they are giving us the full strength capabilities. What happened to not wanting sued for injuries???
Regardless..I used to play every single day now someone at Polyphany screwed something up and they have effectively ruined the game for me at this point and I have lost all interest in turning it on. There is no communication and I feel like they just don't care all that much.
I wish the update never happened personally.

Not only did they nerf the trueforce but they’ve given us the full strength of the wheel, only problem is things like kerbs and collisions and tire slip to tire grip is exaggerated too much. Violently ripping at your hands. Reduce those peaks, bring back trueforce.
And not to complain but why keep updating physics? Why not do your absolute best off the bat and quit mucking about with our tunes. They update and everyone has to learn how to drive again. It’s all muscle memory, it seems like just as you get it down they update and you’re backing to learning it all over again. Yes it’s minor adjustments but damn, enough with it you guys.

I understand the remark. But in all fairness, looking at the sim-racing community, the physics in GT7 were frowned upon and even ridiculed for it being more like a simcade instead of simulator. For me this is a dumb thing to say because I think this made it open to more people, making the treshold lower. On the other hand, I do really like the changes they did too. Unfortunately, you can't do good for all.

@@SimulatedDrivingResource the problem is it’s not what people bought. I’d prefer it more sim like (I still don’t think they’ve got it 100% yet. But the frustrating thing is it’s ever changing. I have a friend that has sim raced for years, after the new update and all the changes and glitches to the game / cars he seems to have just quit playing. His reasoning, make up your mind and quit messing with it, making changes is admitting you didn’t finish the game. I agree, why are they making changes? Who are they listening to that makes them decide we better change the physics yet again? The problem for me is my wheel feels completely different, I paid a lot of money for that, I just wanted full strength unlock but they had to go and change everything. The wheel feels good but at times it just doesn’t. We buy the game, we are either all disappointed in it or we aren’t. Keep changing it and we’re all gonna be disappointed with it at some point in time after the endless physic updates. People defend the cars launching into the sky as a glitch… well guess what the old physics engine or suspension model didn’t do that so which one is better?

It'd by no means useless but its functionality in GT7 got clipped a bit. Still works great on other titles.

@@SimulatedDrivingResource would really just be buying for gt7. Kind of crazy that a developer can cripple a 1500 dollar purchase from another company at will.

@@001sander2 certainly. Customer support at Fanatec has been nerfed for a few years already. But I have to stress, its only a theory I have. I dont want to point fingers with only theories.
