When you switch from KDE to Gnome in the same system or you install KDE things in a Gnome system, that white line appears at the top left. It's not a new bug. I don't know how to fix it.
Xwayland video bridge causes the white line. It's annoying but you can kill it and it'll go away.

do i have to reinstall Endeavor OS and select gnome DE at the wizard or can I change the DE to Gnome on a current KDE installation
You can change the de without needing to full install
From arch wiki all you need to do is use your aur helper and type -S gnome and it will grab everything you need for gnome
So for me i use paru so
Paru -S gnome
Then if you want to switch the login manager you need to disable sddm by doing
Systemctl disable sddm.service
Then enable gdm
Systemctl enable gdm.service
Restart and it will be applied
no need to reinstall - kde plasma 6 and gnome works fine on my pc :)

It can work but does steam support it officially? No, sunshine got an update recently and works great now under wayland
the white line was an issue if you have kde and gnome installed at the same time, i for example dont have it but people on reddit have it since like gnome 44 (?). also i have nothing like steam friends freezup on fedora 40 beta either
As other people have stated its because of xwaylandvideobridge and i remember getting this bug and seeing it get reported in the gitlab repo of xwaylandvideobridge, someone just needed to refresh my memory in the comments lol.
Ill be trying out fedora 40 soon so will see if it happens again

well you are using fedora 40 beta, id wait for full release of fedora 40, but the package is gvfs-onedrive on arch so i would search that package to see if its installed for you
Just a request. Can you please make a tutorial on how to install fedora gnome on a windows laptop, making it the default operating system. And uninstall windows.

@@linuxnext sorry it's "uninstall windows". Glide typing sometimes makes mistakes.
Well removing windows would be pretty easy as the guide i already have shows how to format the drive that windows would be installed on, there would be nothing else required to remove windows. Have you had issues with installing linux on that laptop?

The only thing that got changed from that video is installing nvidia drivers can be a bit different if you go through the terminal
