    Great video thanks! A video where someone show's how I could mess the thing up is much more helpful than a video where a pro just repairs the thing as it isn't a challenge at all.

    Thanks for posting. I wondered why there was bad feedback on the replacement speakers and I did have to switch the wires.

    It would be great to see a teardown of the Bose A20 noise cancelling aviation headsets to see how they work and are assembled.

    To put the drivers in ear cups like factory installation, only use 3M™ Yellow Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive (available in auto stores mostly). Air leakage will cause weak base and distortion at high volumes.

      How did you manage to remove the speaker cover? I really can't find any way to remove that thing, even after heating it.

    • @damFr
      @damFr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ValouIka it is the hard part of the process. Same for me with heat didn’t work well so I had to almost break it. I use lots of force and a knife or screw driver. Doesn’t matter if you damage the cover inside since it is inside no one will see.

    My copper wasn't in that pos, I solved it by putting a tiny peice of rubber in between the membrane and the white/black plastic. It works flawlessly

      Works great. No complaints. ebay seller no longer offering these. Can probably find one there pretty easily though.

    I replaced the right speaker and while it sounds just as good as new, i realized that side isn't blocking as much noise passively. It kind of distorts the sound a tiny bit. Did you glue it back on all the way? or perhaps it was my speaker orientation.

    • @franzcatch
      @franzcatch  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan.k I did not. I used just enough to hold it closed in case I wanted to open again. Sounds like the wire soldering is good since you aren't getting feedback. Perhaps the quality is the generic speaker? Not sure on this one.

    Have you replaced both speaker or just on the right side? How is the sound quality? Is there a difference between the left side (with the original speaker) and right side (with a noname speaker)? The noise cancelling works also like before?

      I only got feedback when the wires are not correct. Make sure to watch the whole video because I go into detail about the correct wire placement. Also, make sure the internal microphones are placed exactly the same as they were before you started taking everything apart (I believe there are 2). When I was taking things apart, I don't think I had to adjust the microphones at all, but one is right there and could have been bumped. Also make sure you are using a fully charged battery. Hope this helps.
