    Bose is about balanced bass as background fill for clear mids and highs. They don't drown out the rest of the music with excessive bass. I learned this 10+ years ago in my Mazda RX-8 with Bose sound system, which sounded amazing. Another thing they do, Bose doesn't want volume levels that go into the distortion range. Same was with my RX-8. I could turn the volume all the way to it's peak and it would still sound crystal clear. Bose is all about quality and, from what I've experienced, they always hit that mark.

    • @Tripokaridos22
      @Tripokaridos22 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zthreetwo9874 For some people break in is a myth . For me its true really true most of my Headphones and Monitor speakers that I use have different sound . Headphones with small drivers like all the in ear doesn't sound different and I cant feel anything after break in . But on some Headphones like these bose , or my B&W p5 p7s etch etch they sound different more OPEN after break in with more extension on low end mostly and more refine highs not harsh . But there are some Headphones like my OPEN BACK for example my Sennheiser HD 599 sound exactly the same from day one to 1 year after . So yeah break in is there but not on all headphones and speakers . About Speakers my B&W mm-1 sound way way better after 1 month , and Edifier Luna HD sound the same . Also there is always the ear adjustment , When I first listen these bose I thought wow there is NO bass at all , Now they sound like there is a lot of LOW end bass . But if I use Beyerdynamic Closed back 770 after these omg I feel that 770 are way to much on bass. In my opion these Headphones BOSE are the BEST overall headphones are not perfect on some area, they are GREAT on all , and this is really hard to find on a Headphone . If I had to use only 1 headphone these are my choice. I cant compare them with an Open back openness but as I already say there is no perfect headphone.

    Low quality headphones often have heavier bass to muffle the bad quality highs and mids while as higher quality ones may not. It also depends on the sound signature the company uses for their products. Audio will always be better when wired, no matter the company. Sounds like there is a lack of research and knowledge here. These are also not their high-end headphones and when earpads prevent exterior audio from being heard, it's noise isolation and not cancelation, again. lack of research.

    I found that if you like BASS (which I do), I needed to add BASS enhancer to the music on my phone, then the music sounded BASSier. Also, I use the Samsung Galaxy S8 & the volume has to be increased on both the phone & as well as the headphones. Otherwise you only get 75% volume. If you get an update on the S8, it re-sets the volume to 75%.

    I've had mine for about 3 to 4 years, I had to replace them after 1 or 2 years due to one side completely stopping to work and now on my replaced pair the volume up button broke (the volume and especially pause/play controls feel quite bad and unresponsive even when not broken). Also I've noticed that after a few months of use the cushions bend inwards at the back of your ear which is EXTREMELY annoying and the cushion also has been compressed to the point where it hurts the area below my ears. The first two points might have been flukes, but that problem with the cushions are a problem with everyone of these. Aside from the good sound quality, I would absolutely not recommend them, if you plan on using them for more than a year.

    If you want decent impact and more bass than anything even buy Sony’s MDR-ZX110s or some of their $40-ish MegaBass or whatever will get you that thump. Bose headphones tend to accentuate highs and mids, with a flatter bass response. Generally they have a good, wide sound stage for closed-back design, and comfort and portability is tops as well.
    You bought the wrong headphones, it’s not a matter of getting more sound out of cheaper headphones, it’s about getting different sound from different headphones, and you bought the wrong ones.

    Bose is for audiophiles. It's meant to be well balanced so you can hear everything clearly. Overpowering your bass muddies everything else.
    This review... ooh man when you pulled out those RIGs.
    I have a RIG headset. Exclusively because I couldn't afford anything better. They're fine, but not great. That specific pair I couldn't stand because of the overbass going on. Had to go for the cheaper 400 because the bass isn't dumb there.
    Now that I can afford Bose, I'm buying Bose, but I wasn't sure which model to get. By now I've figured out which model, but this review was something I heavily disagree, and very unhelpful. Mainly because you're comparing different types headphones at different price levels.
    If you want to do an upgrade from bass-head headset to another bass-head headset, go for SkullCandy. They're the definition of bass-head.

      I really wonder how such headphones sound. They have to be kinda boring.

    • @Tripokaridos22
      @Tripokaridos22 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alex_insideYes they are at start comparing them with other none flat headphones.But if anyone cares about flat sound on bass mids and highs then this is the perfect headphone . For me these are on my 4 main headphones tha I use . I use B&W p7 for deep bass and low mids for classical music, Senheiser HD599 for gaming and vocal music, Beyerdynamic 990 pro for bright highs , and These bose for long time listening . So it all depends by what you want , I also like Sennheiser Mommentum closed back wireless over ear but then again they are also V shaped sound . Only these bose sound Flat . You can also chek that at Rtraings

    Hi.
    I have those headphones too, and yup; they don’t have that much bass..
    I really didn’t like them for that reason.
    It will be very cool if Bose can add a “bass equalizer “ like the candy crush headphones. 🤩

    Number 1 - Why in the world would you pick Bose headphones if you like bass?
    You should've got Beats as they put emphasis on bass there may be others but Beats is what comes to mind when you want bass headphones.
    Number 2 - Why would you compare Bose to some cheap gaming headphones?
    I know that's a good brand for the gaming headphones but Bose is better made and more durable than the gaming ones are.
    Bose gives a more natural sound if you want more bass then use an equalizer to boost up the bass my last pair of Bose headphones had excellent sound quality with decent bass. One last thing why haven't you done proper research before buying them before I bought my first Bose headphones I did research and compared it to Beats I chose Bose over Beats because I wanted a more natural flat sounding pair of headphones over one that gave emphasis on lows or highs as I have an equalizer for my music. My first pair of Bose headphones was the Bose AroundEar 2's (AE2's), my second pair was Bose QuietComfort 2's (QC2's), and my current pair is the Bose SoundLink 2's I can't say enough about how much I love Bose headphones and their quality both in sound and durability.

    Bluetooth on these headphones - don't expect the great sound they produce compared to the "cable connected" option. Just something that Bluetooth lacks - regardless of what brand of what headphone it is installed in. Just too bad that the cable it comes with is rather flimsy and no aftermarket can be used.

    I agree with this review, as I had the same thoughts with this headphones. I am not satisfied with the sound AT ALL. it feels like it could deliver more. The Sony WH-1000XM3 is WAAAYY better.

      and is wayy costlier as well.. compare them with sony wh xb900bt, they cost almost same.. sony excels in bass, comes with ANC, is more features, but i guess bose soundlink 2 is more comfortable.

    The soft ear cups that come with the headphones are absolute crap!!!
    Bought mine brand new and within a few months the black material that covers the padding had ripped all the way around for no apparent reason, and the padding inside was rotted down to practically nothing!!!
    Bose company wants a stupid high price to buy new earcups, but you can buy brand new ear cups from another manufacturer on Amazon for a hell of a lot less money!!!
    it's true these headphones don't require additional batteries but the built-in batteries have their own problems. You can't replace them if you need to and they only charge up to 90% no matter how long I leave it on the charger!
    The sound of these are adequate but I would surely never ever buy these again!!!
    I complete waste of money!!!
    Furthermore the rubber around the edge of the headphones around where the buttons are on both sides has also come loose and I could not get it to stick back down so I had to cut it off!!!
    I have headphones I bought brand new back in the 1970s that still work perfectly but they have a cord but the sound has not changed and the leather on the ear cups has never rotted away!
