My favorite thing about this series is that Puppycat was voiced by Oliver. I grew up with vocaloid, and to see my childhood represented here made me really happy.
Oliver is actually one of my favorite VOCALOIDs aside from the twins and IA, and they were also a big part of my childhood. I remember almost immediately trying to figure out PuppyCats voice in the pilot and I'm so happy they didn't change it for Netflix (idk if they changed Cardamon's VA or if it's just the same kid, older) because it definitely is my new comfort show 🥰
Even though the show is now picked up by Netflix please don't delete the original episodes from this channel. Those episodes are not on Netflix and I (as I'm sure many others) still come back and rewatch them often
This show lifted me out of depression, it made me feel so many positive emotions that I pretty much forgot about the negative ones. It saddens me that the creators had to wait ten years to get the show off the ground, but it’s amazing And I’m glad it is the way it is. I sincerely hope they’ll continue this show with a season 3, I’m not sure if it was ever confirmed, but I genuinely hope so
Just finished binge watching all 16 episodes on Netflix, there better be another season… seeing a childhood favorite get expanded apon was amazing… I just hope it’s not the end

@@hw2577 the Netflix reboot is like a different version of mostly the same events. I think you need to watch both to get the best experience. It's worth it because it's a good cartoon which is becoming rare these days. Especially with how a lot of animated shows are being canned.

I started on the Netflix version and then came here. Bee and Puppycat (all versions) is the most relaxing and comforting show I’ve ever come across without being dull. I love it so much and there’s still a lot more to be told after the end of the Netflix version. Eagerly waiting for Season 2/3!!
I just finished binging the whole show on netflix and I'm shocked by how much lore was left out of the original first season when they cut it down to the first 3 episodes. Like a lot of it is implied, like her dad owning Glitch Gorge. But some of this was completely left out. I am glad to finally be able to watch lazy in space though. Makes me wonder what is and isn't still canon though. This definitely isn't the definitive timeline anymore though.
Interestingly enough, the Netflix version also clarifies that Bee is older than Deckard, as she used to babysit him Also, the new scenes imply that Puppycat always knew Bee and Bee always knew him but lost the memories of him when she got sick

Though based off the flashbacks is possible that before her dad disappeared he probably upgraded her every year or so to give the illusion of aging. It's hard to tell who's aware of what when no one questions anything though. I think Cas is the only one who questions when something is strange or unusual, and even that is far and few between.

I like that head cannon, 1-3 made me angry with story choices cutting out a lot of emotions, nuance, and good story telling, and adding kinky toast x cas backstory, cliché "they actually know eachother since kids" and forcing bee to be less of herself, we see her only doing good, and still thry say that she is not capable, and just destroying Decard making him pathetic, and flat, I hope it was just netflix saying that they need to do stuff rushed so they can own whole story, and if there is next season they remain hq animation and story telling, not being scared of nuance, cool visuals and actual strong emotions. I really didn't like how they watered the 1st season down

For me it was weak, cliché flashback with bad build-up that added nothing but over used tropes, lazy im space already gives us information that bees father knows puppycat, and yeah, this little ending still doesn't fix that puppycat is completely useless in those 3 episodes, if we establish that he has taken care of her, it kinda implies that he is actually competent, and in those 3 episodes he gets mostly thrown around with no direction, in original he gets stuck in the window because he tries to run away from cardamon and his hammer forced marriage, here he is just greedy and stupid, in og he is despised for his "ugliness" by cats on cat hot baths planet with at the end he used to save himself and bee, here he is just kicked, netflix did him bad
I am so happy for whole federator and especially natasha for getting bee&puppycat on netflix, and I hope that you get greenlight for second season, but I really hope you won't let yourselves get bullied into changing the story to meet netflixes quotas, I loved the mystery, nuance, and magic of original series and lazy in space, but 3 first episodes were really rushed and it shows, please go forth with dreamlike aesthetic, continue with making the story making us feel things, I want to cry watching it, I want to learn bit by bit and theorise why things happen, 3 first episodes on netflix gave all the information on the silver platter, they expanded only on cas and toast, making bee, puppycat, and especially decard feel flat, boring and broken, allow bee to be lazy, clumsy, to like eating food and watching stupid TV series let her be bad at things, let us see that she is bad at things, let her be responsible for her own wrong doings, and don't make decard a punching bag, I loved that in og series he was sweet, cute, shy, but capable and talented and caring, it was good that he wanted to not go to culinary school because of his protective attitude towards bee, let him be that, let him show that he is capable, that he is a very good cook, and don't let him just be bad, he can't bake, but he can do a lot other stuff so why we only focusing on that bad part? And puppycat? Let him be a character again, those 3 episodes made him to be just a background afterthought and a tool to push the story, we don't see him try to be cool, we don't see him going through sticky marriage, he doesn't see cardamons mother, he just kinda is and I know you can do better, lazy in space showed that you can do better, because after that 3rd episode show just felt great again, like you actually gave it love and care, visuals were amazing, character got back on point and we again were subjected to all those micro stories that made this show extra special. I love your work, and I hope you succeed but please, don't water your story down, even kids prefer a little mystery, and nuance and this endorfin push when their prediction were at least partially correct (see how successful scooby doo mystery inc., amphibia, wakfu, and gravity falls were for example) keep up the great work.

@@AnonymOus-ss9jj Lazy in space is the title of the Netflix series. The original series is on TH-cam but they extended the series on netflix. The Netflix series includes most of the scenes from the TH-cam series in the first few episodes but builds out the storylines in the rest of the season.

i think it would make sense if bee died when she got sick as a child, because 1, cas mentioning that she never ages, and 2, she was a child at some point and it's not like robots can really age. her father rebuilds her as a robot and she lives her life as the same age as she was built as.
I love this show so much! 😭❤️ Been waiting so long for more episodes and it was so worth the wait! 😁 I hope the creators get all the credit they deserve!

This show meant a lot for me when I was little. I remember my sister showing me the first few episodes and we were both obsessed with it. Seeing Netflix bring it back to life after thinking it was dead was amazing!! I hope this holds a place in others hearts as it does with mine :0
I remember when it first came out. The pilot episodes were so special to me and inspiring, and it's been amazing watching it grow and evolve. I feel so grateful that this wonderful story has multiple versions and gets to be loved over and over again!

I just watched it on Netflix and was hoping for a season 2, but got here and realized the Netflix first episodes cover the entire mini series, and goes on as a second season adding more. So.. now I'm looking for season 3

i love the additional eps for the netflix version but it lost alot of foreshadowing on the original, but still the comfort is there and i really wish to see more seasons
One thing I found that I love is cardimon's mom is puppycats friend from school and partner that fights over the ship they found in the toy/distraction chest
Bee and Puppycat is my favorite show. It brings me a lot of comfort 💜💜. I don't know how to explain but It just feels so unique and I've also never related more to a character than I do to Bee. I really hope that people like it. I've watched it so many times 😅 which is something I can't usually do (it's usually one and done for me with stuff even if I liked it). Edit: I love both seasons and consider them both to be cannon. It feels like the first couple episodes of Lazy in Space were a summary for people who had never seen the show before? I saw people complaining about it. I feel like everything is still included in Lazy in space, If someone came up to me talking about Bee and Puppycat and hadn't seen the first season I would recommend it to them along with the original pilot
I still found funny that in the first episode of netflix run bee gets fired for decard burning the kitchen, and then 1st episode of lazy in space (4th one) we learn that she actually got fired for her laziness and eating customers food, it is weird to see that first three episodes were so clearly rushed and probably forced by netflix
I don't understand the changes Netflix made. No cat costumes which made less sense in the bathhouse and changing the fish to a baby head. They extended the episodes and changed dialogs which just made it less funny. Also Decard goes into game with Bee after Puppycat doesn't take the candy and gets stuck in a change machine? Love the show but don't understand the changes from the original at all

The first 3 episodes was a reduced version of the season 1 (on TH-cam), and the rest was the season 2 (which we can find on Internet). So I have already watched the Netflix in advanced.. But still great, even if they deleted some good part of the TH-cam one. I hope to see more lore now !
Lazy in Space really has nothing to do with the original anymore as the first 3 episodes throws those stories and it's subtletys out the window. Puppycat is a lot less caring of Bee, the reason why Dekard doesn't want to go to Baking School, etc etc.
I know, I was pretty disappointed they so drastically changed the elements of mystery and subtley, and the entire chemistry of the characters... and not only did they do away with many of the comedic moments, but the jokes they kept had a much flatter delivery. I'm only a few episodes in but so far it's already been sapped of much of its original charm. However I'm going to give it a chance and watch it to the end. It's just hard without the things that I originally loved so much (the oddball comedy and hinted plot and twists). I wonder why they felt the need to change so much...

The recap episodes are honestly not that great (and lack the charm of the season found on TH-cam) but they do have details for later episodes. After the first three episodes though the show regains its pacing, dialogue delivery, and jokes! I honestly think the first three episodes were quickly produced because the first season couldn't be put on Netflix. This is just speculation, but it does explain why the first three episodes seem more rushed compared to the rest of the episodes. Anyways the show is great! Getting through the first episodes is just a bit tough :]

The first episodes are just so people can understand, it's not a full remake. I think the reason the characters feel different is just lack of time and resources to tell the story.
idk exactly when the netflix version came out, but some new details are missing in the beginning. like how bee has been the same “age” physically for years. how she raised deckard as well. how puppycat knew her as a baby and helped raise her.
My Personal theory about the princess: I don't think Cardamon's mother is the space princess because she and Puppycat space ver. Seem to be a good buddies in the past. I think the Space princess and Jellyfish princess is two different person (??) Because they look very different, their hairstyle and outfit (I'm not sure yet but my guts telling me that they're a different person)

Cuz I've watched all the show and then some of these videos and theres stuff showed in the vids that I just don't remember in the show, I mean, sure, I could have missed some things but there is big stuff that doesn't just appear on screen for a few seconds, say like, bee having a male avatar, I don't remember that from the show, I remember it because of the videos
Cardamon's mom is Violet. Father Bee is a child who traveled with Violet and the yet unchanged PuppyCat, making inventions for them. The bad wizards who changed PuppyCat are those black hands.
This is less of a lore dive explanation or detailed timeline and more of a brief explanation of the series. Honestly I'd just recommend re-watching the series if you want to pick up on more of the lore (plus the show has amazing re-watch value). Also lazy in space fills a LOT of gaps in the lore.

I am so happy for whole federator and especially natasha for getting bee&puppycat on netflix, and I hope that you get greenlight for second season, but I really hope you won't let yourselves get bullied into changing the story to meet netflixes quotas, I loved the mystery, nuance, and magic of original series and lazy in space, but 3 first episodes were really rushed and it shows, please go forth with dreamlike aesthetic, continue with making the story making us feel things, I want to cry watching it, I want to learn bit by bit and theorise why things happen, 3 first episodes on netflix gave all the information on the silver platter, they expanded only on cas and toast, making bee, puppycat, and especially decard feel flat, boring and broken, allow bee to be lazy, clumsy, to like eating food and watching stupid TV series let her be bad at things, let us see that she is bad at things, let her be responsible for her own wrong doings, and don't make decard a punching bag, I loved that in og series he was sweet, cute, shy, but capable and talented and caring, it was good that he wanted to not go to culinary school because of his protective attitude towards bee, let him be that, let him show that he is capable, that he is a very good cook, and don't let him just be bad, he can't bake, but he can do a lot other stuff so why we only focusing on that bad part? And puppycat? Let him be a character again, those 3 episodes made him to be just a background afterthought and a tool to push the story, we don't see him try to be cool, we don't see him going through sticky marriage, he doesn't see cardamons mother, he just kinda is and I know you can do better, lazy in space showed that you can do better, because after that 3rd episode show just felt great again, like you actually gave it love and care, visuals were amazing, character got back on point and we again were subjected to all those micro stories that made this show extra special. I love your work, and I hope you succeed but please, don't water your story down, even kids prefer a little mystery, and nuance and this endorfin push when their prediction were at least partially correct (see how successful scooby doo mystery inc., amphibia, wakfu, and gravity falls were for example) keep up the great work.

@@AnonymOus-ss9jj Lazy in space is the title of the Netflix series. The original series is on TH-cam but they extended the series on netflix. The Netflix series includes most of the scenes from the TH-cam series in the first few episodes but builds out the storylines in the rest of the season.
Watched both the original and the Netflix versions. Cant wait for more. I hope if Netflix continues they add the stuff with the jellyfish princess
I remember laughing so much in the pilot and S1. Lazy is space, although great in its own right (cause there’s a lot of much needed world building) didn’t have that same humor and charm to it. Hopefully if it gets picked up again they can incorporate the best of both seasons

i think it would make sense if bee died when she got sick as a child, because 1, cas mentioning that she never ages, and 2, she was a child at some point and it's not like robots can really age. her father rebuilds her as a robot and she lives her life as the same age as she was built as.

This show meant a lot for me when I was little. I remember my sister showing me the first few episodes and we were both obsessed with it. Seeing Netflix bring it back to life after thinking it was dead was amazing!! I hope this holds a place in others hearts as it does with mine :0

I remember when it first came out. The pilot episodes were so special to me and inspiring, and it's been amazing watching it grow and evolve. I feel so grateful that this wonderful story has multiple versions and gets to be loved over and over again!

God I’m really hoping Crispin and Bee are endgame. He became one of my favorite characters with one episode and a few short appearances
One thing I found that I love is cardimon's mom is puppycats friend from school and partner that fights over the ship they found in the toy/distraction chest
Bee and Puppycat is my favorite show. It brings me a lot of comfort 💜💜. I don't know how to explain but It just feels so unique and I've also never related more to a character than I do to Bee. I really hope that people like it. I've watched it so many times 😅 which is something I can't usually do (it's usually one and done for me with stuff even if I liked it).
Edit: I love both seasons and consider them both to be cannon. It feels like the first couple episodes of Lazy in Space were a summary for people who had never seen the show before? I saw people complaining about it. I feel like everything is still included in Lazy in space, If someone came up to me talking about Bee and Puppycat and hadn't seen the first season I would recommend it to them along with the original pilot
I still found funny that in the first episode of netflix run bee gets fired for decard burning the kitchen, and then 1st episode of lazy in space (4th one) we learn that she actually got fired for her laziness and eating customers food, it is weird to see that first three episodes were so clearly rushed and probably forced by netflix

I don't understand the changes Netflix made. No cat costumes which made less sense in the bathhouse and changing the fish to a baby head. They extended the episodes and changed dialogs which just made it less funny. Also Decard goes into game with Bee after Puppycat doesn't take the candy and gets stuck in a change machine? Love the show but don't understand the changes from the original at all

The first 3 episodes was a reduced version of the season 1 (on TH-cam), and the rest was the season 2 (which we can find on Internet).
So I have already watched the Netflix in advanced..
But still great, even if they deleted some good part of the TH-cam one.

Lazy in Space really has nothing to do with the original anymore as the first 3 episodes throws those stories and it's subtletys out the window. Puppycat is a lot less caring of Bee, the reason why Dekard doesn't want to go to Baking School, etc etc.
I know, I was pretty disappointed they so drastically changed the elements of mystery and subtley, and the entire chemistry of the characters... and not only did they do away with many of the comedic moments, but the jokes they kept had a much flatter delivery. I'm only a few episodes in but so far it's already been sapped of much of its original charm. However I'm going to give it a chance and watch it to the end. It's just hard without the things that I originally loved so much (the oddball comedy and hinted plot and twists). I wonder why they felt the need to change so much...

@@drewmungus5841 I suggest watching it all the way through! The recap episodes are honestly not that great (and lack the charm of the season found on TH-cam) but they do have details for later episodes. After the first three episodes though the show regains its pacing, dialogue delivery, and jokes!
I honestly think the first three episodes were quickly produced because the first season couldn't be put on Netflix. This is just speculation, but it does explain why the first three episodes seem more rushed compared to the rest of the episodes.
Anyways the show is great! Getting through the first episodes is just a bit tough :]

The first episodes are just so people can understand, it's not a full remake. I think the reason the characters feel different is just lack of time and resources to tell the story.
idk exactly when the netflix version came out, but some new details are missing in the beginning. like how bee has been the same “age” physically for years. how she raised deckard as well. how puppycat knew her as a baby and helped raise her.

My Personal theory about the princess:
I don't think Cardamon's mother is the space princess because she and Puppycat space ver. Seem to be a good buddies in the past.
I think the Space princess and Jellyfish princess is two different person (??)
Because they look very different, their hairstyle and outfit (I'm not sure yet but my guts telling me that they're a different person)
