Prismo's boss is God, the one who dreams the world, including prismo, this is hinted at multiple episodes including prismo's episodes. Also Jake the dog (the yellow comet (which means a previous primordial at the beginning of time (which appear as monsters and are indivdiual concepts that make the universe work, once dead can take up to 1000 years to reincarnate))) is basically Jesus in the adventure time world. Recap: adventure time has a trinity Prismo, God, and Jake. This is makes sense due to "cosmic imagination". The past present and future are all taking place simultaneously as it is being imagined; us humans experience time because we are imagining it - much like how if a trees falls and no one is around to hear it doesn't make a sound - if no one was around to imagine the world, it wouldn't exist. Also the thing about jake is that the reason he has all of the massive amounts of powers that he has and able to give birth to literal godlike beings is due to this cosmic imagination, he could make laser portals just like his alien dad if he imagined he could but he just doesn't know that he can, we've seen in episodes though where he imagines he's "the gut grinder" and literally becomes what he imagines him to be before he finds out he's actually not the gut grinder. There was also the first knife storm episode where jake's imagination goes too far like the floor is lava and actually becomes real - knife storms can increase or enhance or affect imagination as well though too as shown in the puhoy where the pillow fort is imagined to become far more for finn and in itself also becomes reality as it is). So in short Prismo's boss is God because someone has to imagine and dream reality and the universe into existence for there to even be a center of the universe with prismo inside which also when zoomed into using the enchridion zooms into Jake.
re: jake’s death - I think a lot of people forget since the episode wrapped it up somewhat neatly, but isn’t jake supposed to die in space alone with banana man? the trip to space that happened in that episode wasn’t the one the cosmic owl foretold since finn was also there, implying that the prophecy still holds up, it just hasn’t happened *yet*. being the way he is, finn probably thinks he fully stopped the prophecy instead of it just being about a different event, so I think it makes even more sense for him to end up the way he does in together again if he’s spent 50+ years internally agonizing over whether or not getting on that rocket would’ve changed anything
That's a good point! And that episode definitely foreshadowed how Finn was like in Together Again, as Finn was freaking out at the very notion of Jake dying one day.
I know I'm basically a year late, but the "prophecy" wasn't necessarily Jake's death. It's just about how Jake would lose his breath in space, which did happen. I think the what they meant with saying "it didn't happen yet" is specifically Jake's death.
We know that the elementals have been reincarnated since the beginning. So what if the mother gum is just whatever is leftover from that incarnation of the candy elemental? Maybe the explosion messed up her DNA to the point she turned into pure candy. If you want to dive even further into it, you could say that she stayed conscious even after being turned into gum. And thats why she was able to help simon. What if the fact that netty and pb both came from that single person is the reason why their personalities are so different and extreme? Like pb is the intellectual unfeeling side of that person, and netty is the side left with uncontrollable emotion/anxiety and little intelligence. They're both the missing pieces to themselves. It could also explain why pb had such trouble using her candy powers. She's technically not whole.

I feel like everything in the beginning had its ties to how tragic the world was, but it was told through the eyes of a child, and only became clearer as he grew and the world around him became clearer to him too
One of my favorite moments that gets built further through the expansion of lore in the series is Marcelina’s song about fries, at first it’s a cute song that most people can relate to as fathers love to steal our food playfully but once you learn her past you realize she was jsut a preteen trying to survive in the nuclear apocalypse and those fries were what she had found to eat for the night, which also explains why she cried to badly and why her father says they were terrible and soggy since she jsut found them there. This series stays breaking your heart

As someone who loves Adventure Time and has re-watched it more times than I can count, I love that I just found this channel. It's nice to see some of the random questions asked throughout the series and aftershows get some answers. This show is truly magical, and I watched it as a little 10 year old when it first came out not even understanding the true story or that there was a story at all. Watching it again a few years later, you see how deep it can get, and now dozens of times since then, my 23 year old soul has some sort of Adventure Time imprint on it. I plan on one day showing my children this show, when I eventually have them, and hopefully letting them experience the adventure that this show expertly demonstrates. Maybe they will love it as much as I did, maybe not...
I have a little theory about Finn’s tattoo. It was probably made before but it sounds plausible: the forget me not flowers around Jake’s tattoo could be to remember Jake while he’s still alive. In come along with me, we see Jake in his blue body flying with princess Rainicorn in what looks like the Rainicorn’s dimension. Maybe and just maybe, Finn got the tattoo to remember and keep Jake close to him while he’s gone. Finn could have chosen to stay with the humans and his mother to help them settle in Ooo and Finn would never want to replace his brother with his human’s family. Thats my little thinking process about it. I do think the tattoo is for Jake’s death and memento mori but I thought of this theory and it can make some sense
I think you are definitely right. (slight spoilers) In the Fionna and Cake trailer we see Jake alive, even though Finn has the tattoo on his chest. It makes sense that Finn would get a tattoo of Jake since they can't be together all of the time.
I don't think Moon allowed herself to be "killed", but Marceline just did because of her demon soul-sucking powers and no one else could have defeated her in any way. Hudson sucks out souls left and right

Someone's theory was that in "Come Along With Me" that we see Blue Jake with Lady Rainacorn, maybe signifying that they will "move" away awhile Finn would stay to help the Humans settle into Ooo so he got the tattoo to keep him Close and remember while he's gone. I assume the Shower scene we see in Obsidian he is like 16 ish. Maybe 20. Since we don't know the time gap but they said "a few years" but he was 13/14 then haha

While I think that yes the Mother Gum is a force for good, just not in the same context as it would make more sense for it to just be the newly forming candy elemental as all but Patience were killed by the bomb. You could even go further and say that with magic returning after the bomb allowing slime fire and ice elemental creatures to repopulate in bigger numbers and that it was because of PB's actions to protect the Mother Gum that prevented it from doing the same leading PB to creating the candy people herself and that the bubbles are it finally giving birth so to speak. The reason it helped Simon being that elementals are for the most part are inherently good if sometimes misguided and may have believed Simon was a fellow elemental of ice, while not mentioning the fact he possessed Evergreen's crown.
i think the mother gums interaction with simon and marcy early on is what inspired the mother gum to create bonnie and neddy. bonnie was modeled after a little girl (marceline) and neddy may have been modeled after simon but that may be where the flaw in my theory lies.
Neddy and PBs relationship also parallels Marcies and Ice Kings. While Pb cares for Neddy the best she can, Marcie can't bring herself to do the same with Ice King
Well Neddy hit the spike on his way down and that changed him. He might have been intended to be completely different by the mother gum, but he turned out how he turned out and his family took care of him. I've always read him as a metaphor for a special needs kid in that sense.
The biggest plot twist is thinking this show was just a normal adventure from even the first episode but nope from even the first episodes everything's had a part to play
I started rewatching adventure time for fiona and cake and apparently the sword with the wooden handle that finn uses on the train episode was given to him by Billy. I assume this because on the episode where Billy appears for the first time, you can see it in the background with his treasure.

I think prismo is like a character representation of the writers of the show. He edits the show at that one point and their boss is ultimately us. It all just makes sense.
Hopefully we will learn who Prismo's boss is in Fiona and Cake. If you think about it I could see them being annoyed with what Fiona did, and possibly what BETTY did. Which would be HILARIOUS to see. Betty Golb being slapped by the boss xD Yeah you think Golb was strong, Prismo's boss being STRONGER would be perfect.
In the Fionna and Cake Trailer we can see Finn running together with Jake. In that scene in the Trailer we can see Finn already having that tattoo on his chest. So maybe Jake dying wasn't the reason Finn got that Tattoo. Maybe it's possible Finn probably lost a bet, but over all this is just me guessing. I could be wrong or right, but nonetheless I don't don't care.
I just wanted to say we actually do get to know how Jake dies. In the episode, Bananaman, Jake has it prophetic death dream showing us that he dies after a misadventure in space goes horribly wrong, and he ends up suffocating in the vacuum of space.

Dude so many things : The cosmic owl and priso works for the same person and have to follow rules , yes they are like gods but still can be destroyed ( at on point prismo dies). They are shocked because Betty want to play god and "go back in time and fix OO). We are not prismo boss ( because they would have realize every wish of fans) but the creators, the writers. If the show didn't have them ( because we can't never predict what gonna happen) . - IN obsidian and together again, we see that PB leave her kingdom to PEps to live with Marceline (they just become a couple. She is capture by the Ice Thing who capture her.

To me in Obsidian, finn looks more like a hot mess, trying to keep it together. Watching the 1st time, not knowing what the next episode would bring, i thought it was so odd, finn showing up late and not prepared to fight. His whole thing in the show is being an adventure so even in a emergency, finn would be prepared to react. Many times in the show he was shown as powerless in some situations, but still he would try and get there, at least dressed. Him showing up in a towel, no mechanic arm, no sword, and losing the towel for no reason, and without jake, the 1st time was really weird. Looking back now i see him more like someone going through depression or something but still smiling and pretending everything's ok, trying to move on with life but not being able to do the basic, in his case, getting dressed haha or preparint to go
To me, I thought his state was reminiscent of Diogenes. He looks to be in a state of eudaemonia. The only difference is he just let loose. He doesn't wear clothes, either cause he just took a shower, or he's just so care free that trivial activities doesn't phase him anymore. He seeks a life of just bliss. Now that we know Jake is still alive during the events of Obsidian, we can piece together that Finn's appearance is simply just wear and tear of aging.

I hate the idea of the cosmic imagination being prismos boss. When looking at the episodes and combining many subtleties and concepts, the people who kept the enchiridion, the literal multiverse book had these objects on their head. There was this concept for the dice kid who could control everything and despite this being ultra vague, doesnt it make sense? multiverse book-> booko (the hologram guide)-> dice kid-> power to be prismos boss? Also the book and characters surrounding it all have these stereotypical adventure themes. Billy being the teacher, every finn being the main adventurer, collecting every gem of the magical princesses and each iteration of the litch, the original evil having inate knowledge of thge book?

The cosmic owl and prismo are 2 guardians of abstract concepts. Theres no "Boss" theyre just afraid of golb because hes equally of not more powerful a concept, a really negative one, and they also have their mortal friends having to pitentially deal with it.
Its a little funny to think about how the whole us being the boss thing might've made sense before fionna and cake but now it just sounds silly after seeing what it's really like in that job line lol

As someone who loves Adventure Time and has re-watched it more times than I can count, I love that I just found this channel. It's nice to see some of the random questions asked throughout the series and aftershows get some answers. This show is truly magical, and I watched it as a little 10 year old when it first came out not even understanding the true story or that there was a story at all. Watching it again a few years later, you see how deep it can get, and now dozens of times since then, my 23 year old soul has some sort of Adventure Time imprint on it. I plan on one day showing my children this show, when I eventually have them, and hopefully letting them experience the adventure that this show expertly demonstrates. Maybe they will love it as much as I did, maybe not...

I have a little theory about Finn’s tattoo. It was probably made before but it sounds plausible: the forget me not flowers around Jake’s tattoo could be to remember Jake while he’s still alive. In come along with me, we see Jake in his blue body flying with princess Rainicorn in what looks like the Rainicorn’s dimension. Maybe and just maybe, Finn got the tattoo to remember and keep Jake close to him while he’s gone. Finn could have chosen to stay with the humans and his mother to help them settle in Ooo and Finn would never want to replace his brother with his human’s family. Thats my little thinking process about it. I do think the tattoo is for Jake’s death and memento mori but I thought of this theory and it can make some sense
I think you are definitely right. (slight spoilers) In the Fionna and Cake trailer we see Jake alive, even though Finn has the tattoo on his chest. It makes sense that Finn would get a tattoo of Jake since they can't be together all of the time.

Someone's theory was that in "Come Along With Me" that we see Blue Jake with Lady Rainacorn, maybe signifying that they will "move" away awhile Finn would stay to help the Humans settle into Ooo so he got the tattoo to keep him Close and remember while he's gone. I assume the Shower scene we see in Obsidian he is like 16 ish. Maybe 20. Since we don't know the time gap but they said "a few years" but he was 13/14 then haha

While I think that yes the Mother Gum is a force for good, just not in the same context as it would make more sense for it to just be the newly forming candy elemental as all but Patience were killed by the bomb. You could even go further and say that with magic returning after the bomb allowing slime fire and ice elemental creatures to repopulate in bigger numbers and that it was because of PB's actions to protect the Mother Gum that prevented it from doing the same leading PB to creating the candy people herself and that the bubbles are it finally giving birth so to speak. The reason it helped Simon being that elementals are for the most part are inherently good if sometimes misguided and may have believed Simon was a fellow elemental of ice, while not mentioning the fact he possessed Evergreen's crown.
I love that everyone is so sad that Finn got a memorial tattoo when in reality, Fiona and cake revealed that jake was still alive when he got it 😂

i think the mother gums interaction with simon and marcy early on is what inspired the mother gum to create bonnie and neddy. bonnie was modeled after a little girl (marceline) and neddy may have been modeled after simon but that may be where the flaw in my theory lies.
Neddy and PBs relationship also parallels Marcies and Ice Kings. While Pb cares for Neddy the best she can, Marcie can't bring herself to do the same with Ice King
Well Neddy hit the spike on his way down and that changed him. He might have been intended to be completely different by the mother gum, but he turned out how he turned out and his family took care of him. I've always read him as a metaphor for a special needs kid in that sense.
I love the idea of Bonnie and Marcy being so connected like Bonnie literally being moulded after her gives soulmates a whole other meaning

I think prismo is like a character representation of the writers of the show. He edits the show at that one point and their boss is ultimately us. It all just makes sense.
Hopefully we will learn who Prismo's boss is in Fiona and Cake.

In the Fionna and Cake Trailer we can see Finn running together with Jake. In that scene in the Trailer we can see Finn already having that tattoo on his chest. So maybe Jake dying wasn't the reason Finn got that Tattoo. Maybe it's possible Finn probably lost a bet, but over all this is just me guessing. I could be wrong or right, but nonetheless I don't don't care.
I just wanted to say we actually do get to know how Jake dies. In the episode, Bananaman, Jake has it prophetic death dream showing us that he dies after a misadventure in space goes horribly wrong, and he ends up suffocating in the vacuum of space.

That could be the explanation for why Ice king is so incredibly infatuated with PB above all the other princesses. Simon probably valued that memory and the echoes of himself in ice king manifested into that.

Dude so many things : The cosmic owl and priso works for the same person and have to follow rules , yes they are like gods but still can be destroyed ( at on point prismo dies). They are shocked because Betty want to play god and "go back in time and fix OO). We are not prismo boss ( because they would have realize every wish of fans) but the creators, the writers. If the show didn't have them ( because we can't never predict what gonna happen) .

Root sword is also one of the very few swords that doesn’t get destroyed or lost, and is one of the only 2(arguably 3) swords that returned after Finn initially stopped using it.

You'll notice that you don't see mother gum anymore, and there's actually not much said about how the Elementals work. But it was established that there can be only one ice Elemental at a time. The cosmic imagination might also relate/be hinted at through the Blank Eyed Girl episode, where Jake emphasizes that the Blank Eyed Girls might not necessarily be "real" but are Tulpas; something becomes real when enough people believe in it, channeling their imagination and energy toward its existence, which in itself becomes creation.

his theory about prismo putting the crown back right before the bomb went off might just be correct, in the new fionna and cake ep 5 it shows that the crown was burnt to a crisp by what Simon says was "powerful magic" at the bottom of a massive crater that a magic nuke would probably create
To me in Obsidian, finn looks more like a hot mess, trying to keep it together.
Watching the 1st time, not knowing what the next episode would bring, i thought it was so odd, finn showing up late and not prepared to fight.
His whole thing in the show is being an adventure so even in a emergency, finn would be prepared to react. Many times in the show he was shown as powerless in some situations, but still he would try and get there, at least dressed.
Him showing up in a towel, no mechanic arm, no sword, and losing the towel for no reason, and without jake, the 1st time was really weird.
Looking back now i see him more like someone going through depression or something but still smiling and pretending everything's ok, trying to move on with life but not being able to do the basic, in his case, getting dressed haha or preparint to go
To me, I thought his state was reminiscent of Diogenes. He looks to be in a state of eudaemonia. The only difference is he just let loose. He doesn't wear clothes, either cause he just took a shower, or he's just so care free that trivial activities doesn't phase him anymore. He seeks a life of just bliss. Now that we know Jake is still alive during the events of Obsidian, we can piece together that Finn's appearance is simply just wear and tear of aging.

There's quite a bit of circular thinking and repeating the exact same thing in different terms. Definitely more noticeable with all of the theories played right after each other.
honestly its sad but at the same time jakes death doesn’t surprise me because it was very much hinted at, finn fought so much with fear of losing his brother. jake accepted it while finn couldn’t accept it.

I hate the idea of the cosmic imagination being prismos boss. When looking at the episodes and combining many subtleties and concepts, the people who kept the enchiridion, the literal multiverse book had these objects on their head. There was this concept for the dice kid who could control everything and despite this being ultra vague, doesnt it make sense? multiverse book-> booko (the hologram guide)-> dice kid-> power to be prismos boss? Also the book and characters surrounding it all have these stereotypical adventure themes. Billy being the teacher, every finn being the main adventurer, collecting every gem of the magical princesses and each iteration of the litch, the original evil having inate knowledge of thge book?

I think with the newest appearance of Finn in Fiona and Cake proves that the episode of obsidian jake was still alive. We also see Jake with Finn when he had the tattoo already. Jake died sometime after obsidian more than likely.

The cosmic owl and prismo are 2 guardians of abstract concepts. Theres no "Boss" theyre just afraid of golb because hes equally of not more powerful a concept, a really negative one, and they also have their mortal friends having to pitentially deal with it.
