- Welcome back to the Sims 2 Pleasantview renovation project! ✨ Today, we're joined with a new family that has just moved into town!
John, Jennifer, and Lucy Burb have decided to leave the big city in exchange for a quiet life near their relatives. They're bought a tiny home close to the Pleasant household (because Jennifer Burb is Daniel Pleasant's sister). We'll be doing a quick renovation of 95 Woodland Drive, the Burb's first home in town. 🛠️🏡
The Burb family didn't have a lot of money to start with, but they can only scale up from here. Jennifer Burb is an ambitious fortune sim and with little Lucy nearing her teenage years, Jennifer feels ready to kickstart her career. 💸 John Burb, however, is a family sim who already wants another baby. 🍼👶🏻🧸 Will the two clash with such polarizing plans for the future? And will little Lucy Burb find new friends after moving so far away from her old school? We'll find out when we start playing very soon!
This sims 2 lot renovation is part of my big Pleasantview renovation project. The goal is to make sims lot makeovers for ALL of the pre-made hoods and start a let's play series with a large sims 2 uberhood full of all sorts of uncommon couples and storylines.

I love the Burbs. They are a much needed peaceful family in a drama filled town.
I like to get Jennifer in the Journalism career, while John works in the Law Enforcement career. The idea I had with these two is they are working on the Bella Goth case, as John and Jennifer are childhood friends of Cassandra (ala Sims 1) and Bella used to host sleepover parties for the kids when they were little.
As for little Lucy, she feels there's something fishy with Dina and Don, as they want the Goth fortune. She is a massive help to Alexander as she deliveries pieces of information and clues on where his mom could be. Also, in my game, Alexander and Lucy end up getting together as teens and married as adults.
They also have a dog named Tinker, descendant of John's old dog Tucker. Like Tucker, Tinker thinks she's a cat.
I love your storyyyy!! Law Enforcement sounds like such a John Burb job omg I love this idea that he's moved from the big city as an experienced detective to work on the Bella Goth case 👀
@@bibipixels Yeah. John and Jennifer are a power couple in my hood, and I love it!
In my first, years long "recent" canonical saved game, which story replicated and continued later in TS4, Jennifer was a successful actress and John also joined Law Enforcement, and they got a pretty good house and another 3 children after Lucy. They died of old age and still together.

In the alternative game I'm currently playing again in TS2, with more drama than the canon one, John is a journalist and Jeniffer works in the oceanography career, they got 2 kids after Lucy... And right now, 7 Sim years after their moved to Pleasantview, she just moved to Daniel's house and asked John to divorce. 😅
You're so creative with renovating the houses, amazing work! 😍 I have a suggestion: maybe you could renovate the lots in the lot bin. 😉

That's the house I always put the Burbs in then when they both earn money I put in stairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
Yes, I agree, that was my thought as well! There aren't that many starter houses that they can afford in the town and this one has great potential for a second floor.
Now that is what I call an upgrade! The burbs are so lucky.

I like what you did with the house . That kitchen sort of reminds me of the kitchen in my first apartment. Very efficient because there was no room! I've moved the Burbs into that same house but without the renovations. Want to know what happened to them? So Lucy was rolling wants for a pet but they don't have the money to afford one so I decided to let them adopt the Crittur family. The two dogs that are in the simbin that came with Pets? Well I didn't realize that, one, the dogs are very Untrained (will tear up furniture, refuse to eat pet food) and, two, the female is pregnant! And she had 3 puppies! I now had 3 sims and 5 dogs in that very small house! Then Jennifer and John decided to woohoo and.....yeah. She got pregnant. And I had no idea where I was going to put the new baby!
Your videos are so soothing, I really enjoy watching them and the way you narrate the stories is so nice and really adds a nice touch.

I couldn't find the desk and the rug recolors, but I'm pretty sure the rug is a 4t2 conversion and the desk is an addon to the :"restatech" base game maxis desk.

You're right about the dining table! 😃🙃 originally I placed it differently, I just wanted enough space for pathing because it's a bit wonky. I'll change it when we play with the Burb family in our let's play soon~

I pulled families I loved from all 3 basegame neighborhoods. I don’t play with occults so only Specter and Grunt are being moved over. I might resurrect some sims (and I plan to add the Tricous in Downtown so I will definitely). I will clone all the people I am moving iver and setting them up in a empty world. I have been having fun. I am doing some lots but download a lot too. Any extended families coming with them (the main Capps and Monty’s and then the kids and their families. I plan to do some stuff with ages too. Like putting Bella back in the house. I plan to age Cassandra to a teen and her dad an adult as well. Maybe some others.

That's so interesting to hear! So you place all of the families in a brand new hood? I'm planning on adding Strangetown and Veronaville as sub-hoods/shopping districts to Pleasantview and play them that way.

@@bibipixels definitely!! I think what you said about making a second floor eventually for expanding the family is such a good idea, i feel like with the big structure infront they almost assume you eventually will expand upwards

Hi! I got your channel in recommendations some days ago and I'm amazed by your builds, have seen Pleasant and Broke family renovations already! And the question about cc interests me so much, I play the Sims 2 with gameplay mods but find it troublesome to find good maxis match content, but all the cc you use looks so perfect. I see you use many ts4-ts2 conversions, but other stuff I don't know so much. Can you make some tour on cc content creators or forums/sites you use in your builds? Keep it up, I like your style!

And sorry for bothering you, but I have a question: how do you raise up objects on walls and floors? Seriously, I’ve played Sims 2 since 2004 and I didn’t know it was possible 😂 Sul sul from Italy!
Sul Sul European friend! If you're on a windows PC/Laptop and you have Apartment Life EP installed, you can use the square bracket keys [ and ] to shift some objects up and down walls. This is the in-game mechanic for paintings and other wall deco. I also use a mod called Shiftable Everything that does exactly what it sounds like: it lets you shift all sorts of objects up and down with the same keys. Love this. May I ask are you doing an uberhood? Or is it heir Pleasantview and if so which towns are you incorporating?
I'm thinking of adding at least a couple of towns as sub-hoods, 100% Strangetown, mosty likely I'll add Veronaville and Bluewater village too. I was considering merging ALL the Maxis hoods but I think it would take us 7952958 years to finish one rotation and that would make the playthrough drag out too much.
