Today, I'm working on 215 Sim Lane, the lot of Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant and, of course, home to the iconic twin sisters Angela and Lilith.
This lot renovation took me EIGHT HOURS in total, no joke x_x. But it was the biggest house I've done so far and it was so much fun having a bigger budget to play with! :D
This sims 2 lot renovation is part of my big Pleasantview renovation project. The goal is to make sims lot makeovers for ALL of the pre-made hoods and start a let's play series with a large sims 2 uberhood full of all sorts of uncommon couples and storylines.

I loved that you've mentioned parents wouldn't let Lilith to turn her room into a goth manson! Mary-Sue is trying so hard to keep up appearances, she wouldn't possibly agree to that
Exactly, after all, Lilith is still a teen and she doesn't even have her own job so she can't really go crazy with her decorations. And Mary-Sue is a strict mom ;)
I have a soft spot for all the Pleasants.
Angela gets little appreciation from fans despite being so dutiful. That she's interested in Dustin is a suggestion that she's going to push boundaries.
Lilith has genuinely had a harder life, and feels misunderstood, except for her gentle-spirited friend.
Mary-Sue is working really hard, and is trying to get ahead, but is only moderately successful, and Daniel is never going to understand.
Daniel is desperate for affection and love, but his wife isn't interested, one of his daughters gives him a headache and he's walking a tightrope in how much he can criticise her boyfriend.
They're all pretty alone in their own ways.
I love the Pleasants as well, there's so many ways to interpret their dynamics and fix or further deconstruct their relationships! I wonder why so many fans dislike Angela.. perhaps it has to do with "rooting for the underdog" which is Lilith in this situation as p much her entire family has beef with her :x And it's probably an unpopular opinion but I rly like Daniel as a character 🙃 I think of him as acting out of insecurity rather than just being a h0rny boi.
And omg yes!! The jump from sims 1 to sims 2 was seriously REVOLUTIONARY
loving the asian influences in the furniture. that newer colour palette is so much nicer as well!

I like to think that the reason Lillith has a stone room is because they bought the house, and began renovating it. Mary-Sure fell pregnant and they couldn't keep furnishing it to raise them. They gave the least favourite twin the un-renovated part of the house to push her away. Just my theory :)

Recently found your channel and as a fan of premades, this is so fun to see! I've been playing since the original Sims (but I was in my early 20s, not a child) but a fan of premades the last decade or so. I also remodel their houses (and a few basic community lots, plus I add a beach, pet shop and church) before playing. I try to stick to the themes and style of the sims but usually expand a bit on the side (ex: the Broke trailer). I don't cheat $$ but as most families don't have enough for the reno, they get a loan jar and repay it over time. Realistic. 🙃
The Pleasants are one of my favorite families! I play wants based so Daniel is usually reformed (I pick wants I like for him, not the ones that will lead him astray). Sometimes he has a baby with Kaylynn but usually they don't even woohoo in my game. Daniel and Mary-Sue usually have another kid or two (except this time teenage Lilith had twin boys with Dirk so no more siblings for her! Anyway, my point is, sims can be "reformed" if you choose the wholesome wants and ignore the rest. In my last save Daniel rolled a lot of wants for fixing his car, running and woohooing... with Mary-Sue. He became one off my faves. 😊 (Don Lothario is also reformed once he settles down, not a cheater. In my current Uberhood, he has babies with 4 women, including Cass, Nina and Kaylynn... and fiancé Chastity Gere-- love them together! He rolled the want to get married and as Chastity was already pregnant and his gf, that's what's next!). It's all about how you play. ❤
I just happened to stumble across this. This is a really cool looking renovation, of their house. I like the attention to detail in addressing their personalities and how the house would suit their day to day routines. I think having everyone kind of separate themselves off, in the morning, feels very appropriate for this household. I just downloaded this game and played it for the first time in probably 15 years, about a month ago. I kinda gave Lillith a redemption. She's in a relationship with Dirk, at the start. Dirk is more of an overachiever, especially with that money aspiration. So I had him inspire Lillith to go to college with him and they can start their life together. That was the beginning of her exodus from the family. Angela continued being a social butterfly and also went off to college to pursue her dreams. But Dustin wouldn't join her (went into the military instead - his bio says he secretly wishes someone would just tell him what to do) so their relationship fell apart and she met someone else in college. Daniel and Mary-Sue drifted apart, in mine. She actually moved into her parents' house to take care of them, as they began to age. Also worked well into her golden years. Daniel ended up knocking up the maid and they had a child that took after Daniel more and is working to be an overachiever in the sports career.
Dang what a story :D I think both Lilith and Angela deserve a good life but idk if their teenage sweethearts are lifetime partner material. They haven't seen much beyond their little town so moving to college and meeting new people can definitely shake things up for them. As for Daniel and Mary-Sue, other than the fact that they're both hard-working, I don't see them as very compatible. They either stay together for the sake of the twins or break up.
I was an avid sim player, I remember playing with Bodyshop before the release of the game. I remember looking for bug fixes each time they released a new expansion pack. I really enjoyed watching your redesign of the house.

I remember my friend got sims 2 when it launched my mind was literally blown 🤯 I don’t think the sims franchises could ever recreate that massive step up. The graphics the game play it was literally revolutionary! Even then all the expansions that came out everything was so fresh and new. Sims 2 is still my favourite to play ❤
I love the changes you made the house looks gorgeous and suits them perfectly. Also love hearing your stories and am looking forward to your future videos! There aren't enough sims 2 focused creators, it's definitely the best game of the series.

Hahaha yea longplays are pretty relaxing to passively watch, but a speed build is a bit easier to actively sit through 😀 and welcome! I hope you have a fun time watching these videos! 💖😄
*Pleasant* family? More like *drama* family! Angela and Lilith's rooms are so good. I love the green-pink combo for Angela's room, and the more black tones for Lilith's. I would have stuck with the red themes for Lilith myself, but it still looks pretty.
In my game, Daniel and Mary Sue ended up separating. Daniel crashed in his sister's house for a while, until he ended up moving into Don's old condo which he abandoned due to Don being found out guilty of the Bella Goth situation. Daniel ended up being ridiculed and very lonely. Mary Sue realised she didn't need a man in her life, and ended up adopting some dogs, who she trained into helping with the Law Enforcement.
As for the twins, Angela and Lilith both ended up on top and thriving in Uni along with their boyfriends.
I'm obsessed with pink-green, literally spontaneously painted my own room like that a year ago xD And maybe you're right abt the red for Lilith 🤔 I suppose she can always switch it up (and do her own thing when she moves out).
Awww Daniel's fate sounds so miserable sudghugs But good for Mary-Sue and the twins :D

You really make me want to play again this is my favorite part of the franchise.
I'm working on a CC haul video right now, hopefully it should be out later on this week. The Sims 2 can be heavily modded and CC is very easy to install so it's definitely worth picking it up!

I love the build! Since I am very scared of my game permanently crashing for 2nd time after i put cc on them, I dont usually use but your builds inspire me to try again! Can I ask tho how do you put items on too like in the s4? What cheats do you use while decorating? Thanks!
I'm glad you like the build! Lots of CC can definitely cause crashing and pink soup depending on the computer. To move objects up and down I use a mod called Shiftable Everything it's the best but you need apartment life expansion pack for the function. Use the bracket keys [ ] to move the item up and down modthesims.info/d/670142/shiftable-everything-move-any-object-up-and-down.html
I also use the SetQuarterTilePlacement cheat, Set45DegreeAngleOfRotation cheat, and occasionally boolProo SnapObjectsToGrid to move around items around without restrictions
I forget who said this but they changed my view of the twins. They said that they feel bad for Lillith because it's Angela that is actually starting most of the fights. But yet, It's Lillith that always...
gets in trouble. Lillith shows who she is. Angela is a "nice" girl in sheeps clothing.
I've heard of this theory too! Angela is the golden child so of course she doesn't get in trouble..
Why Daniel is woohooing the maid? That is the question lol Like if he can be redeem, may be Marie-sue can also can also be redeemed who knows! I always saw Marie-Sue as the wife that took her husband for granted and let her him go, while she was on her career path... something like that.
idk he can't help himself xD Maybe they mutually ignored each other... funnily enough, Mary-Sue is actually at a pretty low level in her career, meanwhile Daniel is almost on top of his... they both seem too busy and self-absorbed to spend time with each other or their kids.
@@bibipixels Thats what I think both absorb by their career and both have self absorb career too, I mean politician... lol and the haricut and outfit she has is pretty much telling me she is neglecting him for her career XD. Not trying to give him a reason to cheat, but sometime things get explain, even though if cheating is not the best things to doo, at least the poor guy is getting it somewhere!
