I Created Pleasantview in The Sims 4! (Save File Tour ~ Sims 2 Conversion with Townies & NPCs)

- I created Pleasantview from The Sims 2 in The Sims 4. My conversion includes all the original playable and bin families, all the original townies, many of the NPCs (the ones that could translate), and as many of the lots as I could squeeze in. All relationships, skills, careers, grades, etc. have been preserved. So come play with all the drama of The Sims 2 lore in The Sims 4!

I'm glad you chose to recreate the Victorian-esque mansion instead of 113 Wright Way (the hacienda mansion with the moat), it sounds fun to build
Me too! I considered 113 Wright Way, but I think the other mansion fits in better. I always felt the Mediterranean home was so out of place in Pleasantview.

@@PleasantSims Based on how Sims 4 moved the Goth family into Willow Creek I started agreeing with this because I started thinking maybe Pleasantview is supposed to be in Louisiana or Florida? If it's Florida though you could get away with a few hispanic style homes here and there, but I honestly I really like the Louisiana aesthetic (I'm biased, I live there LOL) and so yes bring on the Victorian
Sims 2 lore is my Roman Empire, nothing will ever beat it.

My main takeaway from this is how wild it is that Sims 4 teens basically look like adults, the Sims 2 ones actually look like teens! Nicely done, can't wait to see what you do for Strangetown!
Wow, the sims even look more Sims 2-like! It's almost uncanny how accurate everything is
I'm also making a huge savefile with all the old sims, but I'm also including sims from the first game, the second, and third. Plus all ancestors. I spend so much time on the Sims wiki, looking on family trees to make my save as perfect as possible. :D In fact, you inspired me to do this.
That is so BADASS! That kind of attention to detail is right up my alley, so I wish you the very best of luck! Where will it be available when you’re finished? I’d absolutely LOVE to check it out. I’ve been a Sims fan since the first one, so-of course-The Sims 4 is the game I’ve spent the least amount of time playing… and by a LONG shot.

Making a save file of even 1 world takes a lot of work. Pleasant View remade looks cool. It adds a much needed sims 2 flavor. I haven't played sims 4 since a few years. We all know we will have to pretend all the drama in the town becuase of the way the shallow gameplay was designed unlike the sims 2 and 3.

Lately in Sims 2 I've been playing a "pre Strangetown" I found on modthesims as well as a version of "Old Town" from the sims 1 remade. Loving playing the ancestor characters and rewriting their stories.

I wish we had a way to actually make trailer parks in Sims 4 because I've got several Sims that truly belong in a trailer park and don't do well in regular environments
With for rent expansion you can make a trailerpark if you want. Nancy Landgraab is in my own game a landlord of a lot of rentals. But Don Lotario could do it too when he marries Cassandra and starts to invest in rentals. He quit his job and that gives him a lot of time to whoohoo his female tenants... I see a story there.
Ahhh!!! This is exactly what I have wanted since I heard of Sims 4. As soon as I saw the notification, I closed out my Legacy save to download this save file. The perfect rotational save file. Can't wait to start playing.

Just want to say this inspired me to boot sims up again and I used this save file as a jumping off point for my own save. Used gallery to populate Strangetown and started adding in my own families and houses to the rest of the worlds. Thank you for making this!

I love the Sims 4 Pleasantview version, this is fantastic! Cindy... I think you out-did yourself! You literally made it super detailed and story driven. This is TS2 Lore nostalgia in a TS4 style! Lots of people play different Sims games (1-4) and you have a way to connect them all. I can't even imagine how much time it took you to re-create this, but super happy to see your perspective, play style and website for guides and inspiration. Amazing job! I'm in love with 210 Wright Way. I remember having a family live there when I was just a little kid playing the sims 2 and the entire family ended up dying because of reoccurring fires and them being in a terrible mood as a result 😂. Oh, how I miss the chaos of the sims 2

I love it Cindy!! In terms of lots to add, I’d love to see a cemetery, bar, orphanage, jail, etc. to try and make Sims 4 a little more like Sims 2 😉
If you’re open to adding more packs in the future, I’d love to have a pet store, restaurants, rec center (could be generic), and apartment lots!

I really dont enjoy the Sims 4 at all but this might just make me reinstall it and give it another try lol.
