Not something to "try". It's a last ditch "save me or someone else from dying" system. It's still possible to hit the other car or person even if it engages, but it's a matter of making it less serious.
How do you switch the damn thing off? I was manoeuvring round a car that turning off, my mazda cx3 sounded and felt like I'd run over a metal garbage can bringing me to an abrupt stop, much to my alarm and equally disturbing to the driver behind who nearly rear ended me. Enough of these silly gadgets!
Wow, just WOW!😮I'm happy to have a Mazda.
It saved me three times, thanks Mazda ❤❤
Autonomus emergenty braking works also for pedestrians? I have a 2017 mazda cx5 , but there is no where writen, beside this clip.
I bought a Maza with this function but I've never tried it cause too scary

I thought these systems only worked at 18 mph (or around 28-29 kmh)
Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) is 2 to 18 mph.
if you watch Volvo then maybe yes or it dont work
When I bought a Mazda the base model only did it at low speeds and the high trim model did low and high speeds
