Hello Tomlin,...dont you think it will be the same result if for the last note instead of drawing on the 2, I blow on the 3... I will get a G, won't I?
Great video as usual. Have to wonder if the 1 'unlike' is from an actual person. I mean, seriously, who couldn't like this video if they're looking to learn and improve?
Hello! I really appreciate you making this video! I have a question, but a little context before that. I'm disabled, and my hands are quite small. I first began to try and play the piano out of pure passion, but my hands were a bottleneck, which bothered me and I ended up not playing it anymore. I always had a habit of whistling since my childhood (gotta thank my dad for that) and this one day an older gentleman on the bus caught me whistling 'Return to Sender', and he asked me whether I'd ever considered playing the harmonica, and encouraged me to do so. As for the question, due to my small hands, I cannot cover the harmonica fully (close to not at all), do you think that's going to affect the quality of music I produce? Considering I wouldn't be able to do all the effects people do using their hands.
Hi Sophisticated, the main thing about playing the harmonica is to have FUN! The more fun you have the better your playing will be. A hand vibrato can also be done with ones throat. First try for clean notes on the inhale and on the exhale. The harmonica in the key of "C" is most common for beginners. Is there a harmonica club near you? There are harmonica players that use a rack around there neck while doing something with there hands at the same time. Look up Chuka Chuks ( hope I spelled that right) and see what I'm talking about. HAVE FUN the sky is the limit.
integrity5264 Thanks a lot for your time!! If the vibrato can be done by throat, I'll surly try it out!! But unfortunately no harmonica clubs around me. I googled that, nothing came up 😅😂 but I think I know what you're talking about. I'll start as soon as I take the harmonica out of my attic!!! Thank you once again!!!

Thanks Tomlin. This cool lick turns up - with slight variations - in both your and Adam Gussow’s versions of Born In Chicago.
Great lick! And cool library! James SA Corey is awesome :)
