Hey Luke, this video was a great idea! I've had a lot of success pleasing people with just a few tunes: Oh Susanna (playing chords), Home On the Range, Piano Man, Oh Shenandoah (single notes), Country Roads, Happy Birthday, some hymns (Amazing Grace, Oh For a Thousand Tongues to Sing), a chugging 12-bar blues, some basic children's songs (like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star), and a couple of Christmas songs (Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Silent Night).
The best thing about the harmonca is that you can literally put it in your pocket and take it anywhere and just practice these songs to your hear's content.

Before I watch this, speaking as as a normal person: The harmonica solo from ''Hook'. If you have some irrational hatred of Blues Traveler, just approximate the Baker Street sax solo and I promise I'll be impressed. Heck, I'd be impressed by 'Little Brown Jug' as I've never managed to make a harmonica produce any kind of vaguely coherent tune*.
*I'm barely smart enough to breathe when it's just 'in-out' and you want me to mess with that system *and* move my hands and head? It's a wonder I survived my attempts at playing.
Why did TH-cam recommend this video when I was trying to compare guitar strings?

@Harmonicacom I'll listen to it later. Thanks.
Now I'm busy with another project. Learning more music. So I have made 15 blues songs about different biblical characters. It will probably be around 20 when done.
They show the characters in a different perspective than normal, raise some hard questions from time to time. I thought I could spark some thinking and discussion. Not to spread MY views, but to spread the fact there are several views and then you are left to form your own.
I meet very little enthusiasm though. Not from any musicians and not any Christians either. Hehehe. So I am also building me a sort of guitar, so I can learn to play them myself.

Well, I'm a bass player, seriously that I must imagine the drummer? 😂
I only understood groove after I understood the drum parts, precisely.
Including your tip for the back beat. 1 and 3 is for the bass, 2 and 4, leave to the drummer, and now, the harmonica players too!

Ah yes it is a Cannonball Adderly tune! Sorry for any confusion. Just Paul Butterfield was the first person to cover it on the harmonica, so his is the quintessential HARMONICA version of the song.

I am a good guitarist, played in bands all my life, I know scales, modes, melodies, etc. but I am still having problems with just playing basic scales, why is it so frustrating, am I just cursed with can't play harmonica syndrome? Help!

You’re a guitar player? What are you doing here? lol
I have that same problem with guitar… I been playing for years, but due to my inability to play basic scales, I have never been one they choose for lead guitar, which was always discouraging… another issue I have on guitar is not being able to look away while playing,I always have to watch my hands the whole time…. Oh,and I cannot cannot cannot play chords, never been able to since day one! It doesn’t help that my guitar teacher was terrible…
