Very helpful. And yes other people are copying your style but they can’t copy your soul . The spirit in which you speak is unique.
In response to the Question: How do you know when someone is competing ? The actions they display some how don’t feel or seem genuine. My gut categorizes it as flattery, a dig or down right hurtful. If a person says “I was just joking after they hurt me “... well, jokes are meant to be funny not hurtful. Your videos keep us laughing all the way to the bank. Have a nice day.

I know a person who compete against me for the following reason
      (1) Treat me like a child
      (2) Compare me with children
      (3) Tell me they are better
      (4) If I ask them a question they ignore me.
      (5) They take credit for my work.
      (6) Send me you tube videos to "tell me how I should improve myself "
      (7) They talk about their "wealth"
      (8) They always tell me that they know someone else who could do everything better than me.
Yes Mr Daniel Ally thank you for sharing your video .

@ Daniel Ally. You can tell, when someone you know steals from you. They steal plants from your property, they try to steal your man when they are living with someone that they don't want anymore, they try to steal your friends (when they didn't know them before you did)...they followed you around, then got to know them behind your back. She and her
acqaintances are evil and sneaky. People beware of her.

Someone did this to me once years ago. I’m not rich, by any means, and I had scrimped and saved to buy just the lowest level of a top-of-the-line computer because it was all I could afford. I mentioned it to that person in passing that I finally got a new PC and they went and bought the best computer at the very top of that same line and then proceeded not to even use it. They just wanted to buy it to show me that they could easily do that on a whim AND get the top of the line of the product. I wasn’t trying to compete with anybody. I just needed a computer for work 🤷🏽‍♀️but lesson learned. Now I don’t tell anybody anything I’m doing and I just do it.

This has happened to me at the gym quite a few times. The best part is my Yoga teacher started noticing and made sure it was stopped. I also had an acquaintance say out of the blue that she noticed some people are always giving me a hard time. It was validating. Also when I bought my property it stumped a few people , they ignored me which hurt me as I’m not that sort of person myself. They say when you succeed see who doesn’t congratulate you, that’s who hates you.

“I’m not in competition with anybody but myself. My goal is to beat my last performance.” ~ Celine Dion
Mounting an argument against the effectiveness of healthy competition is hard. A competitive mindset serves as fuel for both personal and collective advancement and achievement - especially when we seek to improve ourselves.
The problem is that so many of us compare ourselves to someone else. Naturally, if we don’t measure up to someone, we may (sometimes, subconsciously), initiate an unhealthy duel - otherwise known as a “competition.” Or, more accurately, unhealthy competition.
Corporate America is notorious for establishing a cut-throat, war-like environment of competition. Some primary and secondary schools also do this, albeit to a (hopefully) lesser extent.

I was first manipulated at the age of 12. I was the top of my class n my bff was 2nd. So she told me we don't need to study for our end of term test bc we'll top the class anyway. Guess what, her friend later told me that she saw her studying hard and she topped the class. Then she came to say she was smarter than me. I was shocked she was so conniving at that age. Anyway that was the one and only time she could beat me at a test. Further more she tried to put me down and used to lie and act superior. I dropped her as a friend.

To add to my original post. We went on a school outing n my mom gave me spending money it was not a lot but still I was happy as my mom work hard. My same friend said she her sister told her she would gave her spending money but she did not get it, so all day I was buying her snacks. Then the next school day she showed me the money which was 3 times more than what I got. She said her sister put it in her book n she found it after. Soooo I never so much got a gum from her. She was a hater pretending to be a friend and using me when she could. We were only about 12years old. She was always in competition.

Why compete? We're not the same. Unless you're in competitive sports. Then competing is just an insult to yourself. Theres a difference between a person who is inspired by something that you wear and thinks it looks amazing and likes that kind of style... but it's another thing to compete with someone and try to be like that person... anyone that does that obviously does that coz they don't like themselves... and that's really sad.

I have seen jealousy for no reason and I got tired of being overcomplemented of how I dressed in my regalia which is quite normal for me. To my surprise I saw some of my styles on them. Once my braid was pulled and after giving a warning not to touch my hair, it happened again and from that time I never let that person hug me again. I felt disrespected and angry because my hair is a personal part of me and it is very long and in my culture I do not cut my hair unless someone very close to me departs in death. Daniel, I can see very clearly in your eyes, demeanor (visage) that YOU are the one who went through this with with someone (male most likly) and when you talk about it (as you are in this vid) it brings up memories of what you went through as you so very thoughtfully share how we (viewers) can avoid the trappings of such individuals. Here’s hoping that you no longer are in the position of having to work with or be around this spirit crusher. (Prayers and smiles)
