nice! you should upload more of your games, not just tutorials i don't watch twitch, you could even reupload your gaming session vods here, you'd get views this way as well
Often when enemies go hackers, they will lack chaff clear so you can buy some more crawlers to distract the hackers. Buying range on Tarantulas can also help keep them safe. Alternatively, Fortresses with the Barrier tech are very effective against hackers, as hackers deal 1/3 damage against those. Finally, I like to pair spiders with phoenixes, which can help against hackers as well.
Yeah, I switch techs here and there on the regular, which means some videos may be out of date. Armor can definitely be a great choice against mustangs/vulcans/typhoon/badger. I personally like to prioritise the chaff clearing ability, so I often tech HE and range (with mech rage as a final way of boosting that ability).
I also wonder about HE, Spider Mines already contest chaff in my opinion. Considering Tarantulas are a rounded unit it feels like it is overindexing into chaff clear. I think it is better to pick up other chaff clear like Mustangs, Storms, Typhoon, Vulcan instead of getting loose Crawler formationed or walled by medium sized units by picking HE.
@@montyalb8788 Spider mines aren't great at chaff clearing. They have a really small explosion radius, so they function more as a DPS boost to Tarantula and/or additional distraction for the opponent. HE has been my most clicked (and often first-clicked) tech. I really think it is the best tech on the unit for its cost.
Exactly the video I needed! I love spiders too and this was a great lesson. Thanks!
Great match and good commentary - I learn a lot from your videos. I've not been a fan of speed but now I see how you can use it

If the enemy chooses a hacker against my spider, what is the best way to deal with it?

So you went from AA to mech rage... I tried the build from your previous tech choices, but swapped AA for armor as an option to soak up stang damage.

Is double debuffs a thing? do they stack or not?
Yes, they stack! So if you take both level 1 towers at the same time, the enemy will be debuffed for (2x9) = 18 seconds
HE as 4th tech did nothing I think, auto-rpeair would have won u the game that turn
