Impressed with how you played this game, I feel like I am really weak to playing out of a situation where it feels like my board is "answered", like that round that all those melters showed up and burned down your rhinos. Especially if I didnt have a redeployment, I would likely felt like the game is basically over from there since it would take 3 rounds to sell all those rhinos that are far enough forward to where they will basically always take melter aggro immediately. I need to get more creative, might try forcing elite spec every time I see it till I can figure it out.
That is one of the hardest aspects of the game, even I struggle with it regularly after 2000 hours. The more you play, the more you understand player responses and common patterns. If I didn't get redeployment I would indeed have to sell a rhino a turn, and likely make use of a mobile beacon backwards to save another. Elite spec brings out more of a challenge due to the high unit cost, meaning you need to purchase very wisely. Crawlers, arclights, marksmen, phoenix, mustang and fortresses benefit a lot from the level 2 so you will often find yourself buying those on elite.
@@RoosterTH-cam appreciate the advice, will try more elite spec and more thinking outside of the box. going to go through more of your videos today, i like the way you talk through all your decisions. cheers!
I'm around 1400 MMR and rarely ever see anyone go elite but I've been trying it out lately and have been pleasantly surprised with the results. I'm a nerd and track my specialist win rates and out of the last 9 times I've picked elite, I've only lost one game. Still going to keep trying it. Not to say it's due to specialist, but it's interesting.
Elite spec is very difficult because it’s hard to win the chaff war. Chaff is so expensive as elite spec so if your opponent understands that they can expose. Just my opinion though I know u can still win as elite spec
@@lucasnubert89 That is true but your chaff is generally better and your chaff clear is better so there is a trade off. I also just hope I get a few packs of fangs or something on unit drop rounds. I've had good success either way because I basically just focus on chaff and chaff placement the first few rounds.

@@DCAMM720 Definitely keep playing it! I think elite is in a good spot rn, and the playstyle is lots of fun imo.
